  1. Anyone staying in a > 10 year old HDB flat have done any repairs to your service yard door before? Last evening, mine came crashing down without any warning. The rivets holding the brackets broke off. There isn't any signs of visible rusting. The glass door is so freaking heavy im relieved nobody was in the service yard washing clothes at the time or I shudder to think what would have happened. Told my colleagues about it and were nonchalant, saying its a > 10 year old door, wear and tear is expected. However, I beg to differ. This isn't a wooden door that has rotted, its a metal door, I presume aluminium? At the least, I wouldn't expect it to gave way immediately without warning. What do you think? Is this a defect, design flaw or just normal wear and tear?
