  1. As expected, the shop would only issue cash vouchers for the value of the dining set cancelled. No choice we were made to upgrade and pay more than $3K for a half leather half PU sofa!! Imagine they actually want us to pay in full before delivery!?! This time, we held our ground and refused to make full payment until we're satisfied with the delivered sofa.

Keeping my fingers crossed now... Haiz...

Sorry to hear this. That's about what I paid for a 3+2 leather sofa set from Casa Italy.

  2. Hi everyone,

I'm interesting in finding out more small and cheap electronics shops.

Can you please PM me shops and addresses / contacts? Thanks you all very much!

Why don't you post which area of the shop you're looking at. They are all over the island.

If the East I've bought from Bedok Centre Electrical diagonally across from Bedok Point.

I've bought from Megamall when they were at Katong Mall. Now they are at Kallang.

  3. I happened to come across this brand called Ekornes which sell their "Stressless" range of sofas.

Again, very chio and very nice but super super expensive.

Ekornes was featured in Channel News Asia last few days. It's a Scandinavian brand which is venturing into Asia. Supposed to be very comfortable for long seating periods to watch TV!

  4. Came across a webby selling interesting home and deco items in facebook called Clutterism

I like the stag antlers alot.. planning to get it, wanna ask if anyone has any idea where can i see more of these genre of home and deco items?? :D

I am thinking of getting the square lamp as a house warming gift.. ha...

    check out its webby http://clutterism.com/products.php

Don't like the key, reminds me of being locked up by the housing loan.

  5. Helllow

I am newbie to this forum. Doing my renovation soon and i need to change my toilet bowl and sink.

Anybody know where I can buy it for cheaper price? Also the other toilet accessories (shower and towel hanger).

    Thanks a lot guys.. :-)

Along Changi Road, from after Frankel Avenue junction down to Eunos/Still Road there's quite a few shops selling these stuff.

There's Hoe Kee at Tanjong Katong Complex opposite Lion City Hotel.

  6. I saw there is a mass order in another forum under OEM which is brandless selling for less than half of it's price

    Which forum?

Googled and saw some wholesalers/suppliers website US$35 to US$200 for various sizes.

  7. Virtually every shop you go will claim to be be direct from factory/manufacturer. This would be true as they are all factory made. Some furniture shops will have their own factories manufacturing for themselves only. Others do not have any factories themselves but order from non affiliated factories.

As for the quality, can't tell until the sofa has been delivered. If it's really full leather and construction quality is good than $1,618 is a steal.

  8. Today just visited their Takashimaya outlet, they are having a special sale for their latest model, price was good , better rebate if delivered before 31st May. I will think of a way to rush my contractor cos my house is not ready.. Any good suggestion........?

If savings is good just get it delivered to your current place and move it over with the rest of your stuff. Just adding a mattress to your stuff is a small matter.

Or ask them if they can hold the mattress for delivery when the new flat is ready. This is a common request.

  9. in the end i bought a 3+2 full leather sofa from them and return home a happy man.

overall i give them a 4/5 for their service and product.

-1 to their factory condition showroom instead of a proper showroom.

as they are not a retail shop, it is better to make an appointment with them to view. 63966381/98328828

    1 sofa down...mattress next!

What is the selling price? Has the sofa set been delivered yet? Could you post a review of the set later?

  10. i would shift the store room to small area between bedroom 2 and bedroom 3. hack the walls for existing storeroom and kitchen entrance to create an open kitchen.

my ID is super pro-open kitchen concept because he believes the kitchen and living space can also be a communal area for interaction. i believe he is true to a certain extent, nowadays you seldom see wife/husband slogging in the kitchen while the other entertain friends in the living hall. :)

Is the store in the kitchen a bomb shelter in which case it can't be moved? Was told in some flats they are placed in the kitchen.

As for open kitchen, it's a lifestyle choice. Do note that it does place restrictions on the type of cooking that can be done as cleaning is not restricted to the kitchen area.
