  1. Harlow!! Hey havent seen u & Allo at all for super long leh....& I dunt haf ur tel nos la...

Wah so actually u n Allo got lurk ard here siah... :P

U wanna join us on Sat wif Allo? We start ard 2-3pm lah....

Hey greycat. I saw u guys a couple of times at carpark and neighbourhood. I even saw u (with short hair alr), brownmse and dog near Koufu last week... but i aren't sure if its you cos i don't recall u got dog mah... i havent been reading ur t-blog until recently... so indeed you have cut ur hair and gotten a dog. Hee... how's life?

This weekend we cannot make it wor... we cheonging, or rather going for the Isetan sales... have to buy things for the kitchen. Sorrie, other time i hope. Enjoy your gathering ya? :)

  2. We also left out our common toilet due to budget constraint.

My ID even said "Aiyah common toilet no need to do swee swee wan, is nt for u to use mah" :P

Quite true... But ur ID machiam dun wan more of your business cos he is discouraging u from doing more... 8| It's quite true lah, we don't use that toilet as much as the one in MBR.

But most of the time, H*B toilet just cannot make it.

  3. Sorry wrong description, shld call "Anfield" then ur main gate can put up a big banner " You will never walk alone". :notti:

Ur hse theme also got anfield atmosphere but only the red color too dark. :notti:

    Wah, Idea!

Hush hush.... ssshhhh... please don't suggest the BIG BANNER. Wait Mr Limau really go and get it! :bangwall:

    Then i faint. hahaha..

  4. Hi Allo,

Ur "Liverpool" hse veri beautiful. :bangwall:

Wow envy ur MBR TV consol can turn any direction, so siok can enjoy on the bed. :notti:

    Thanks Cantona7.

'Liverpool house'? haha !! Thats not deliberate effort to have Liverpool theme for the house. I think ur quote will make Mr Limau very happy. :notti:

  5. Juz drop by to say...you have a VERY nice house and should be proud of it. Your living room ceiling design is nice and effective. Love the grey canal! :dancingqueen:

    Thanks jamez!

The grey canal is designed by the ID Designer. Our regret is that we didn't do up our common toilet. We had only overlay orangy 30x30 ceramic tiles to match the HDB basin and toilet bowl. The design of that toilet is really out. It don't match the other part of the house at all. No $$ at that time and we have put off the idea of doing up that area. Haiz...

  6. Hi ppl,

I have not been active in my own t-blog... but i have been updating my own's blog dilligently... I have moved into our Lovenest gradually, bit by bit. Some major furnitures are not in yet but we are living with it at the moment. Life has been so far so good, cleaning chores have been frequent and dread at times :bangwall:

Have updated some pics of the current status of my rather 'bare' house. We need to find suitable accessories & ornaments to 'doll up' the house abit.... If there is any suitable stuffs, please lemme noe!

Feel free to browse and welcome any comments/feedback. :bangwall:

    My Webpage: Nest @ Jurong

    Cheers,

    Allo

  7. Cleaning?! Tell me about it. The cleaning tasks are dread at times. Ya, i think the house will only be really clean and dust-free after u have moved in and 2months of consecutive cleaning... cos dust is in the air, on the walls, in the corner of the walls/flooring.

I have moved in already but there is this neighbour family diagonally opposite me are not friendly.. Was looking forward for good neighbours, guess as long as they are not offensive, we have to learn to accept it. :bangwall:

  8. actually if you dun mind maybey you want to share your quotation from them

there's so many of us here, maybe we can point out anything missing :)

as the chinese saying goes 三个臭皮匠,胜过诸葛亮 :good:

Ya lor ya lor... like wat i have mentioned to u via PM, u have to be tactful. We r more glad to help u screen thru the quotation.

  9. Hi ladies,

i saw a panasonic one also quite nice...

state can cook rice for glutinous, sushi etc..

but nv say abt baking cake...

the price almost same like your rice cooker....

Allo, the cake taste nice from rice cooker?

how many litres is the rice cooker from philips? :)

    Koikoi, the cooker is 1.8litre.

Cake not bad... outside still able to obtain the crust.

  10. sure! come join us! !!

but we haven't confirm the time and place to meet yet, right koikoi and allo??

My fridge and washer delivery will be from 2-5pm. I have to be nearby my house at those timing... I dun have sofa, no chairs... so better go jessi's place the last? :jawdrop: May I suggest to go koikoi's place, then my place, then jessi's place... i think Iced Latte's place wil be at tiling stage by this weekend, which will be out of bound...

    How?

  11. Harlow harlow.....hee, me reali blur...found it liao.

Wow, so many pictures!! I love ur living lights effect, shooting across the grey-painted part. V designer!

Can see dat ur hse reali did a lota reno, for less than 30K, wow!! :good:

oh yah, I oso saw the light at chelsea, the one dat has crystals all rd the rim, can chnge to dim light n colorful lights wan, veli exp!!! :jawdrop:

Our ID has given us a good deal indeed... appreciate his effort to help us to minimize the damage in our pockets. Initially we scare the grey wall will darkened the living room. Heng it still look alright.

u saw that?? believe me, we have think and think and thinkkkkk whether to get that light for very long b4 we gotten that. Still no regret of having that. Its a good replacement of a false ceiling... We placed it at the MBR. When we watching tv at MBR, we will swich on the yellow or LED lights.

Have u chose all ur lights?

  12. interesting. but we both not laptop users at home. :notti:

we have to be seated in our studyroom to use our desktop.

ya i think i got it ard that price, can't really rem but we got it from best.

saw the menu options there are alot of functions, very interesting

does the manual guide show how to do the baking? hehe.. i very lazy to read those guides.

For me, we are laptop users... this tray is not cheap huh... but indeed its very useful...

    ahnah, u bought already?

ya, the guide and the cooking menu tat come with it, indicate how to do it... i was fumbling with the cook book and the buttons for my 1st usage... blurz.

  13. yup, we used it mostly for cooking rice and cooked soup once.

i saw frm ur blog that u baked a cake in it ya..

hehe.. i haven't tried that thou..

Im fascinating by the baking function. Cos i din have build-in oven. Sis said after the 1st build-in oven spoilt, she got difficulty getting the similar size for that compartment... and since dun bake much i decided to maybe get those conventional ones...

Phil*ps promoter said can do glutinous rice... can fry the shallots etc in the rice cooker then add the rice..

U oso get it at $159?

  14. Hee...me abit blur...I did go to the link but I neber see pics le...I oni see 2 pics of the downlights n ur perspective drawings....did I miss smething here? Me not tech-savvy..... !!

Greycat, the link to my blog at blogspot is indicated at the 1st message there. This is the link:

    Nest At Jurong

Me don't have 1 ultra long wardrobe. I split into 2 parts: BR2 8ft & MBR 6ft. Wanted to do outside MBR toilet initally, but was not 'approved' by Fengshui Master. And we were worried that the clothes will turn mouldy due to too near the toilet...

  15. our hhs racks are done. !!

mr richard is quite fast..but can tell he was **** hot and thirsty.

offered him a cold drink and he finished it in secs. heh.

    hhs1.jpg

    hhs2.jpg

Pardon the fisheye effects. I dun have a wide enough normal lens. Hehe. The legs are straight of course! Sorry about the mess too! I should have taken pix 1st den put in our rubbish. Haha.

Hey lurgee & jessi, we have got the same Rice Cooker.

    Have u tried using it?

  16. Hihi Allo, paiseh....blur me din read carefully....ur signature put reno costs less than 30K total....hee....

U finish reno liao? any pic or quotes to share?

Me thinking of going chelsea to buy lights oso. :notti: Went there over weekend to check out lights n got a quote liao. Total came up to 1.8K+ after discount (bulk of it was an expensive crystal lamp la :D )

Their prices seem v competitve n I din expect them to carry so many designs, as gd as the balestier shops n mabbe mre!! !!

At the bottom of my signature, there is a link thats leads to my blog address. Feel free to view and give comments. :D My reno just completed. Pleasant renovation experience. We just cleaned the house one round... more rounds to go, the house seem to be dusty after a few days, i think thats becos the dust are still in the air. kekez...

Me and other neighbours in our block gotten lights from Chels*a too. But please bear in mind that they always make error with the order and the QC check is not good... but we are more concern of the $$$ lah... haha... i think among my neighbours, my experience with Chels*a is the worst. But ok lah, now all rectified le.

  17. Hihi,

Thank you for all well-wishes n advice/help rendered!!! Renotalk was reali useful when we were formulating our reno battleplan, hehehehe! :notti:

HI Koikoi, after selectg tiles hor, den I realise I din even noe wat brand I bght....I rem alota frens ask me to choose whitehorse le....but contractor jus brought me to showrm to select n we just chose the whitest possible shade there. :D

Hi Allo, me dun haf alota carpentry I thk....no feature wall etc. My carpentry wld includ kitchen cabinets (top n bottom) n WIW (quite long I guess as we doing L-shape). If I rem correctly, it is abt 13 feet in total (full ht). No feature wall or shoe cabinet thgy, ored 30K liao.

Just curious, how much did ur quotes cost?

Hi Jessie, yup me gona make BR2 into WIW. Knocked dwn a part of wall to make a wooden sliding door so we can air-con both rooms still. For BR2, im planning L-shape wardrobe on rightside n vanity on left side. Den mabbe window there can put my old sofa (abt 1.9m) so I can dump clothes there (for ironing) n oso do my ironing in e room.... In future, mabbe baby pram can temp put there oso. heeeheee :D

Ya, when u are at the tile shop, u will forget what are the good/bad brands that ppl was saying... just excited over the tiles u seen & touched... haha... I prefer to iron clothes while watching TV :P

My reno is below 30k. I think it included quite alot of carpentry work, with window+grilles and electrical works too. Maybe that time when i did my reno, my rates were not affected by increase of sand price & this GST increase bah...

  18. those standard steel racks with wooden shelves..

we did a L-shaped to the door.

    Din take the dimension.

Cost us $160 for one... but since jessi and i did togther,

we got it at $10 cheaper lor.

He not willing to give discount thou...

but we said we got 2, he said ok lor... :(

omg, that richard now then reach...

    haiz...

jessi, i spoken to my id regarding the kitchen window u wanna do...

he said u can contact him for quotes... :)

    i msg u his number u want?

$160 for one. 'One' as in...? The whole L-shape shelving all in all is $160 or what?
