    poor cyclists - go pavement kena chased by pedestrians, go roads kena chased by drivers.

    anyway i dont like them in either place - East Coast Park + all other parks should be the only place for cyclist!!! :furious:

    Just wanna check with u folks whether bicycle riders are allowed to ride on passageway???

    I tort sometime back they can only ride on roads? Bt I rmb later on government says bicycle

    riders can ride on passage way at certain areas....now I already lost track on current ruling...

    Anyway, I wanna pour out my woes!

    I was rushing to work tis morning and was walking on the extreme left of the passageway and

    there is still a lot of space on my right side.

    Bt there was tis STUPID Blangadesh bicycle rider without any alerts came crashing and knock into me!

    And the best part is the wheels hurt my foot, and he fell on the grass.....My first reaction is to cry out

    loud "OUCH"...cos it is so painful and I did not realised tat I was bleeding...

    I was very very HOT and shouted at him LOUD LOUD " Can't u c I was walking tis way"???? And guess wat

    he answered????? " I could not see u"......THIS IS VERY LAME LOR!

    As I realised I am going to be late, I ignore him and walk towards the MRT. And I was limping and bleeding all the way to MRT as I dun hv any plasters with me!

    I was wondering if the bicycle rider hit any old ppl or young children or worse still pregnant ladies, the case will be worst off than me and not just bleeding...

    Therefore, I wanna check with the folks here whether its legal to ride on passageway. If it is not, wat are the ways I could lodge a complaint as there are a lot of bicycle riders at my area!

    Don't listen to Master Xu @ Yi Wen Fang .... she is quite crappy.

    I went to see her last month (actually to accompany my friend) and did a zi wei out of fun.

    Before we see her, we need to make an appointment 2 weeks in advance and need to supply her staff all our information - date of birth, occupation etc.

    On that day itself, we were asked to wait for at least 15 mins and her staff "chit chat" with us to find out more on our personal details - occupation, marital status, got boy-girl problems etc.

    During the 1 hour session with Master Xu, she would tell me that I got very bad bazhi and was in very bad luck for the past few years and how she can change my fortune if I buy those fengshui stuff from her.

    I told her that on the contrary, I was in my best of luck in the past 3 years - got multiple promotions, striked 4Ds, TOTO etc and what her analysis of my characters, relationship with parents, siblings was quite way off.

    She was not very happy and kept insisting she was right with her analysis.

    Throughout the session, I got the feeling that she thought most customers would approach fortune tellers when they got some problems (which is quite the case most of the time) and she would harp on that so that the customers would purchase the fengshui from her.

    Its really unethical to do tat! They are no different from cheaters! And to think they dare to open a shop and so call themselves FS master!

    I used to have a colleague who eats the same meal everyday to slim down. She has yong tau foo for lunch everyday and somehow it works. She did slim down quite a bit but i think it's rather unhealthy cos you are not getting enough nutrients from eating the same thing everyday. I still think the best way is to eat healthily and have regular exercise. Even if one is on the plump side, he/she still looks radiant, not thin and look gaunt.

    Ya true....even wanna slim down also must hv all the necessary nutrients...I hv some koligs whom manage to shed quite a few kgs...bt I dunno wat method they used, their face is not as radiant and they lok "dry" though they hv achieve their target...

    And IMO, they seems to age quite fast too....

    Hi, take GAO TIE.... sky train ar, express de, frm taipei to kao shiung oni 2 hours...

    u go to taipei (shi zhen fu) (city hall), they sell the tixs there.....

    hihi, u shd go taipei ist mah. can go by jetstar if they have promo, smtms its real cheap! from like $99 per way exclude all taxes and fuel charges la...

    last april we went, all taxes plus up is oni $320 nett for two pax. me and hb la...

    must book erly the air tixs like that then got cheap.

    Ya....really regretted not planning my Taiwan trip earlier on.....

    Oni book the package tour few days back for next mth's departure....It is very very expensive and

    we cld not get any free & easy tours as all has been taken up....

    Just wan to check with u folks whether there is any nice places around? We have 1 day free & easy and hope to travel to those interesting places as the rest of the schedule is guided....

    Hi people,

    Just wanted to get some ideas on HDB's unique floorplans like some 4rm have balcony in the master bedroom (Bt Batok before the MRT station), 3rm with full height glass windows in hall (TPY, Redhill old houses etc). If you can share your floor plans here it will help to do my project

    I tink u are referring to Bukit Batok East, those 200 series flats....

    Do you use CRT tube monitor not LCD? and your desktop is those overclocking type har?

    If possible upgrade it to a laptop and it shall save your power comsumption in this case.

    I am using LCD....Dun like laptop leh...sigh!

    My bill for the 5-rm is the same as previously living in 4-rm. In 4-rm, the aircon was used, while in 5-rm use only fan.

    I may have to monitor for a while. Currently is around $120. So Karen, yours is good.

    I wanna bring it down to $80...next time I shall use more candles...can save electricity and more romantic.... :dancingqueen:

    Bo bi i pass my ATT....but the test is only in Jan next year cos i registered as private candidate...very long leh...sianz...some more very close to my AD....stress until mad...and now is no longer shading circles with pencils kind...now is electronic one...straightaway know pass or fail....when come to pressing the SUBMIT button, more stressed....it's do or die!!

    Sorry, I little bit paranoid one.. :dunno:

    When u r behind the wheel, u will not feel scared cos u r in control....

    Check for blind spot, turn yr head for a split second oni....dun hold on too long and go bang ppl's car...Blind spots is very very important especially for bicycles and motorcycles or pedestrians...

    Dun worry, go for it, we are behind u mentally! Jia You!

    For me, I am noti. After three months, still don't come. I fold their letters into Aeroplane and mail it back to them.

    Hint to them.If you still don't re-direct, divert your mail, I will 放飞机，you can find your mail in some other countries. :dunno:

    Ya...tink got to start hinting them liao..

    Yesterday just received a letter for them from NTUC income..Pengz...

    Ya I would also want to take manual one...but skali i fail too many times then bo bian got to switch to auto...hope i dun give up halfway on the manual one...my hubby told me to take auto one easier to pass....but like too easy, no kick...and hor, next time i wana drive manual gear sports car leh... :yamseng:

    u can just write RETURN TO SENDER and put inside the postbox or now at the hdb letterboxes there is one unit for returned mail, usually in the far corner and put it there. not throw, throwing mail is a crime :yamseng: i did that and the letters for the ex-owners have pretty much stopped coming.

    i mean, if the previous tenants know that there are still getting mail at the old address and don't do anything abt it, it's their business. don't have to worry abt other people's problems. premature aging you know?

    I will give them another 3 months...tat will be more than 1 year aft they shifted out.

    If they still refuse to change their mailing address...

    I will do the same...haha

    I booked my ATT on Sat at BBDC!! Wow, nowadays the system too "high-tech" until a bit complicated...so troublesme just to pay and book for ATT...no longer just queue and pay in cash at Level 2..duno y they had to complicate the system...tentatively selected manual test...thinking of whether to change to auto later on...hmm...

    Air....take manual one....trust me!

    It will come to use when u go overseas....

    Spamming somebody's mail box in the internet is a crime. Wonder if the previous owner don't change their mailing address spamming your box is also a crime? The same mail box but in another form.

    If I were you i would do the same. ... DUMP, don't bother.

    Bt i cant bring myself to throw away cos I scared got important mails....so fed up...

    Yap, not easy. Told them liao... but think they own the company money, so didn't want to give them the new address ba....

    Oic....then just return the letters to the rtn mails to the post office and inform them tat

    tenant no longer stays here if they still refused to inform the responsible organisation of

    their change of address....

    I also v pissed off with my ex-owner.....,there are still starhub letters mailing to my hse

    though they hv shifted out almost 1 year ago....

    I was wondering how come they never change their address for so long or their IC address

    still the same? :furious: I am still enduring......and the best thing is they dun even bother to

    cal me whether there are any letters for them or not?

    And I hv to cal them every mth to come and collect and sometimes they are so lazy

    to come up and collect from me and ask me to mit them at the market.... :)

    At first I still gong gong go and mit them, now I couldn't be bothered man!

    They wan to come, they come....else I will just throw away when spring cleaning comes...

    I will ask her when she comes the next time, how come letters still mail to us after so long......

    Yeah at first I also thought, siao, like that no privacy already.

    But then again, my neighbour told me anyway the loansharks write until like that even worse right? The agreement does not have any private details, just the name, address and when the sales transaction take place.

    This is a new idea for those hving the same predicament...

    It might be of help to them....

    Hope the TS will solve the problem soon.....

    Its amazing why so many people always like to spend their energy on "why why why", questioning why the problem start in the first place, rather than to spend that energy on how do we resolve it quickly.

    So what happened after your dh called the guy?

    I used to have a neighbour who kana just like you, and boy! Was he innovative! What he did was to copy and paste his sales agreement all over the lifts, staircases and prominent places, to let everyone (including the loansharks) know that he is a new owner.

    This actually clear up the understanding with the neighbours because they will know that he is not the one responsible for all these graffitis. Also, because the loansharks draw graffiti and do funny acts is to shame the debtor, it will no longer work since everyone know liao, and so they stopped also.

    True enough, after awhile the loansharks did not come anymore.

    Wah.....to paste the sales agreement everywhere.... :wub: So mabbe it works har...perhaps gumbokins can give a try?

    My parents also bought a flat from a couple, after moving in, they start to receive payment reminders letters from Starhub, Singtel, etc, etc... even receive a card by "professional" debt collector. My parents got worry, so one fine day, I offer to trial the ex-owner back to their existing place when they come to collect letters from my parents. Think only then you can confirm their new address.

    Not easy to trial ba....y dun tel them upfront to change their mailing address since they hv shifted?
