    I was initially very much into scandi theme... But also very much in love with the industrial and after meeting my contractor who is into industrial, my place turn out to be rustic, retro, industrial.. Not sure if u had view my Tblog, my Reno is already finishing 60%

    So if you r not doing false ceiling and Lbox, are you using track lights? Led track lights are not cheap also and the track will create a industrial look - any impact to ur scandi look? Maybe u can consider small area like living with Lbox only..

    I also bought the haiku fan!!! High five..

    No one share their lobang with me but my contractor bought me to universal uion at geylang and I paid $640 for a black one.. Maybe not the cheapest but I couldnt find any better lobang Liao... Wish you good luck and look forward to see more updates from u.,,

    Like this, does it mean we should not buy stainless steel accessories for bathrooms?

    Actually I think stainless steel is ok cos ss is suppose to be rust free (ikea one I not sure) but chrome one I think will rust.

    Carpentry discussion took place today, from 1030am - 2pm. mainly for shoes cabinet, TV console, kitchen cabinet and WIW. is this consider a long discussion?

    Took pictures of the sketches the carpenter draw for his own reference. I also want to keep a copy for my own reference... :notti:

    And also today the lights had arrived from lightings.com at around 11+am

    they missed out one item and they had re-delivered it at around 1+pm. so no complaints from me and within 7 days the items can be exchanged even if we accidently damaged them ourselves.

    So light installation is arrived on Monday incase any defective or damaged we can still do 1 to 1 exchange.

    Hi pinkwhale, what did the fengshui say abt the hob and bed positions? We are also staying at PA and bcos we are putting our fridge at the shorter wall side, our hob will either be (1) facing the kitchen entrance if we put it at one end of the kitchen or (2) opp the fridge if it is not opp d kitchen entrance. :( how are you positioning yr fridge and stove?

    my FS master requested me to place the hob and bed as per what i had indicated in the floor plan. he strictly informed the hob cannot be placed directly facing the kitchen entrance for my case. So i place the hob in the middle as per the layout and the sink is beside the hob near the service yard but with a spacing of around 60cm apart and the fridge is place opposite of the sink at the other side

    Think the position is quite subjective, depends on the owner bazhi and also the direction of each unit.

    And as for the bed position, I had check with him for next best postion and I'm using that option which is alongside the MBR toilet door

    Snowfield for my WIW area which is actually the wall behind my wardrobe, so it will not be so obvious as it is partially obstructed by the wardrobe.

    Hi^^ great job.. Ur 3D drawing is very accurate vs the actual. Ur house looks really good.

    Indeed ur kitchen top cabinet is a little hard to reach especially the top flipping up one. But overall it looks great!

    Do they come with soft closing?

    Im at punggol breeze, was getting silver then lucky the shop showed me a sample how it will looked like after some time, he said marine parade n punggol near to the sea so better avoid it. I like tat uncle, very patient, know his stuff very well, showed the brightness for us to compare. In d end, my wife chose round shaped white powder coated as recommended by the uncle. Since she is in oil rig industry, i tink she noe better than me hahahaah

    I see I see... Then wish me luck ba haha.. Basically bought Philips mainly due to it's no ballast feature thus more energy saving. I also never consider that much on the rusting part especially since the steel part was protected by the glass already. Maybe I can check whether lightings.com one yr warranty covers rusting or not ^_^

    I hope our ideas will turn out well.

    Actually to be frank the cost is actually higher cos I'm still having carpentry at the kitchen cabinets and the TV console but lesser as the structure is not made from carpentry and actually building the structure by hollow blocks/cements/tiles should be a little more ex due to the workmanship.
