    thanks for your unselfish sharing that we are able to gain and learn so much. already touch based with k and since then my chinese has improved lots cos of the chinese whatapps. also "suan" him saying his business so good whether he's able to take up my reno end nxt month :P i say “我怕怕” he replied "怕什么“ :D then called to assure me. ha ha. Can't wait to see your finished look of your living with the brick wall. (k = brick wall specialist)

    U r welcome, technical portion I also didnt share much becos until now I also dunno much techical things haha... only design wise... but U dun worry cos K's sense of design also quite strong... many design also must be approved by him then can do one.. haha.. if he feel not nice then I will not buy or do...

    My brick wall is in progress now but K need to leave soon... starting to feel very worried liao...

    Finally Phase 2 renovation had commenced... K had arrived along with one worker together with the bricks and tool box and started working on my wall immediately... telling me he need to leave at 12pm and will leave the worker here to work on it... OMG.. I need K here to help me design my wall... He needs to go Boon Keng and Clementi.. Paiseh whoever meeting K today can release him earlier plssss............. :bow::bow::bow:

    Congratulation on confirming of your contractor!!! K can start to specialised in industrial and scandi theme liao. Cos in the last 6 months I think he did at least 6 or 7 units including mine, think only 2 is not into industrial/scandi theme..

    U will be in good hands!! Looking forward to ur Reno pics postings!!!

    Good for you... How big will your brick wall be?

    Craftstone cost will be kinda on the high side.

    I'm doing it on the wall behind my sofa. Find it too plain now.. :D

    Ya last time didn't do cos find it ex.. But now always envy people. So now thinking maybe just do it. But I will not be doing full wall cos that pc of wall is not small, need at least 10 boxes and just at cost price already cost me 1k+ haven't plus workmanship cost.

    We target to use maximum just 4 box to decorate that wall hopefully the price is MUCH lower. K say do first then see how much then decide haha... Hopefully he will gives me a BIG discount since I helped to make him much popular now..

    Hihi... Thanks it's actually just a simple wardrobe with no special accessories just that it's big. But that had to give up one room. I will share some pictures of the WIW tonite as someone was also asking for it, I'm now outside and writing via iPhone. Regarding the cost of the whole Reno, I will pm you.. :)

    My T-blog is getting bored with only sending of contact number. But I'm going to start my phase 2 renovation very soon, much sooner than I expected...

    I had always wanted a craftstone brick wall in my home, it had always been on my wishlist. But during renovation due to budget and K's idea, I switched to do cement screed wall instead focusing on kitchen area.

    Now that renovation is completed and though I love my cement screed wall, I still envied those who had brick wall or subway tiles at home. I still wanted a brick wall very much it seems... So I complained to my contractor that I regretted not doing a brick wall.. And of cos he suggested me... "Lets do it now !!"

    And work will commence on this coming Tues! Talking abt my contractor being fast hand fast leg really is 名不虚传！

    It's a one day job according to him as I'm not doing a full height brick wall and I hope the re-cleaning won't kill me !!

    Pray that it turn out well !! And I can feel the pre-renovation excitement all over again... Haha I really like doing renovation !! But of cos provided is working with someone responsible and you can trust...

    I think Paloma is away for holiday so those who had enquire for contractor's contact, I had pm you on Paloma's behalf since she is using same contractor as mine.

    But I'm not sure about her Reno cost though...

    Also, can you show the contractor your floor plan and get a rough quotation first? As we have not gotten our keys yet.

    Yes you can show K the floor plan and tell him ur requirement and get a rough quote first but to be frank after u get ur keys generally things changes especially if urs is new flat cos dimension differ from floor plan but if urs is resale and u had already taken measurement then still ok.. As there are so many unexpected things like pipe in the way or beam etc.

    What more can I say except triple LIKE your dining table! Lovely piece!!! :good:

    Unfortunately, we cannot hack any walls as every single slab is structural membrane, only peculiar to a few blocks in Yishun. Yes, we are the lucky ones! No more open kitchen/dining concept, no more huge masterbedroom, but I've got a dressing room with attached bath!

    That means we are only restricted to a small dining table in the tiny dining area tucked with the kitchen. Still searching for it. Maybe I wanna design my own dining table & fabricate.

    Bought the Haiku fan! :sport-smiley-004: Hubby was still hesitant when we were at Universal Union, so didnt order. Then I tried my luck asking a quote from Zero, together with my washing machine, hob & hood, and he gave me a better price then UU. So, hubby finally agreed!!!

    Next is to convince him on the white venetian blinds...

    K finished all the wetwork, electrical & plumbing. Going into painting next week. Then my laminated flooring n carpentry will come in, shd be on schedule. He's really getting popular these days! Kudos to u n Paloma, both of u shd get a referral fee from him.. Hahahaha...

    BTW, can u PM me your email or FB account? Not gonna start a t-blog here, but will definitely share with you the pics of the completed products. :)

    So glad the table came well... and so happy that its well-received.

    I also heard a little from K that ur hacking permit didnt go through but I didnt know its this bad...so meaning many of ur designs got to change? Ur dressing room sounds cool le..

    Own design dining table will be fantastic, you can do it just the way you want it.

    Congrats on getting the haiku fan... so lucky for u as I also checked with zero for haiku but that time time he was not selling it.

    I'm sure you will have ur way with ur hubby... he will sure give in to u in the end.. hehe

    wow.. K indeed very fast hand and leg.. I see paloma house also like almost done like only 30 days.. haha.. I'm happy for him too.. I actually also didnt do much, I just basically shared his number when people ask.. and I'm lucky to find him to do my house... he gave me quite good advice too..

    nah...dont think he can afford to give referal fee as his price usually is not so high, but he do treat me lunch sometimes when he drop by my place :dancingqueen:
