It is oso on stomp that the salesperson selling a 4k bed for 12k....
Well, No one will patronize such a shop... U are just lucky things did not goes wrong....
No one will want to risk such shop with so many bad review... This is the only one good review so far....
I have read a lot of negative feedback about mattress Atrium service and product after I have purchase a King size Lotus mattress with storage bedframe which I have make full payment on the spot. I was ready worried its going to happen like what others commented in this forum. I place the order in Feb 2012 and requested delivery date is on 03.05.2012. Before the delivery date the staff have call to confirm the timing and item. Everything seem very smooth and all items are in good condition. I will definitely give them two thumbs up for their service and products. I am very impress with Mr Wee Juo professional recommendation and his knowledge for the mattress. I pay less than $3K for the mattress with bedframe and many FOC items. I would say I get more than what I have pay. If you wish to look for modern type of bedframe and good mattress I will definitely say this is the place.

The best is get all victims and make a fuss at Expo... Force them to refund, if not dun leave the booth....
Make every customer know their bad service.... More victims more power... I feel it will help....
That is the only way, even they die die no refund, at least let all ppl there know... so no more further victims...
And all victims can procced to SCT to claim them...

Recently, my friend told me that she be taking her keys for her new BTO house this month.
I had told her to beware of this CHEATER when looking for reno quotations and never spent time looking for this CHEATER who had cheated my $$$.
I hope that all house owners do not fall under this scam like I had fallen into. Beware of his FULL NAME which I had stated above as he had changed his English name and his company name.
If can take a look at your ID's IC to verify. Better be safe than $$$ wasted.
It's really a hassle if your ID cannot finish up the job WITHIN THE DEADLINE. It's no joke cos the impact will affect your whole family not only yourself.
I know he had been reading my post but what I am stating here are all facts.

This type of guy should be put to jail....
If this thing happened to me, and police cant do anything to him...
I will go to his place to make a fuss daily... Make sure he pay my money back...
If not, I will get debt collector to collect back for me....
Any update from the police?
If he has intentions to cheat from the start but need proof which can be quite grey I think.
Otherwise, he should be put into jail for doing this.

Actually there is no fixed price in furniture...So it doesnt matter GSS anot...
What i mean is the same exact item could cost much difference between 2 company...
For example, I saw a round coffee table cost $50 in a shop near tai chong cresent then the next moment i drive to IMM seeing exact same item cost $250....
Actually famous branded shop item will price their item high... but actually u can bargain w them... usually their item is priced few 100 percent higher than their cost price... Try to slash more on the price at first bargain...Give u more negotiation buffle...
One more thing, check out the company reputation b4 u commit. If possible, make 2 trip to Expo.
First trip to take a look at the items listed there... mark down those u interested and their company. Do not commit at first trip. Go home and check their reputation at renotalk. Omit those company where reputation is bad.
Then make sec trip to make ur purchase. Although it seems like most company at Expo has bad reputation, avoid those who have alot complaints... That is the safest way to make ur purchase... There are too many rotten apple in furniture line, u wouldn't want to risk ur money. It is not going to be cheap.
One last thing to note - Please do not make full payment during purchase. Cos usually full payment is done, if thing like delivery delay, they wont entertain u cos u have pay for it. Try to make as little payment as possible.
i did my purchase w 20 percent payment only. But mine was not from Expo Exhibition company.

I wonder if price will be much lower during the GSS some time in late May thru June. When I checked with the staff whether is worth waiting, they commented otherwise. (logically they wanted to close immediate sales), but the fact is which is the truth?

Need to vent my frustration i feel cheated... DO NOT engage Goodness Movers.
Talk to this Mr Lim on the phone very nice and humble everything ok no problem and even said will give discount since i am only moving a few blocks only. Told him what i have and he say can do in 1 trip. In the end it was like a bloody nightmare.
1. they made 2 trips when it could have been done in 1trip if they dismantle my wardrobe properly (they just dismantle parts till can fit in the lift). charged for 2nd trip.
2. 2nd trip to just take a few items and some workers tried to keep for their own. lucky i saw!!!
3. dented my fridge and deny it say it was like that when they moved it. my fridge is new few months old only!!!
4. deposit $50 for carton boxes never return me. say come next day so i unpacked everything but the worker come collect his toolbox only and say no money come next day but never come!!!
5. call the Mr Lim also dont pick up my calls anymore
6. the workers also smoke and **** at my place throw cigg butts anywhere!!
7. no discount as promised and was suddenly very fierce shout and scold
Heed my advice and do not engage Goodness Movers! Dont get cheated like me.
U shd not have given the sec trip money to him.... Can u provide his HP number here?
I want him to help me move.... Let see who play who....

It all depends on what u do in ur house. Actually by looking at ID work, u wont be able to tell if they are gd...
Alot of times, the work might not be done by them...
The best is u have a concept of what u want... And plan ur own setting base on ur floor plan... Then go to the ID...
See what ideas he can provide u more to make the house nicer...
Like for me, once i got my floor plan.... I designed it myself first... Once i satisfied, I go to the ID and tell him my idea... Ask him for comment... See if it is feasible anot and see if he can add more ideas into ur concept...
It hard to determine if the ID is gd anot base on communication... I see alot scary story in the forum...
Check out the company reputation before u sign.... No matter how well a ID talks, he could be a rotten apple too...Alot of them is sale talk... After u sign, everything cannot...
Rem u are paying for something expensive, talk ur time... Do more research...

How can we choose a "creative" and "capable" id just by looking at their proposal? Even a layout plan can't tell much of his creativity and ideas ....Anyone have the same problem faced by me? OR...i'm just the odd one:(
Once we we compared and shortlisted the proposal/id, can we negociate the price with them? If yes, what is the range or % of discount do ppl asked for? Most of them quoted in the range of 22-26K w/out gst....but I really want to get it done for 20K.

In case still looking To shop for furniture, perhaps it would be good try to wait for the coming fair at expo hall 6 from 28 apr to 6 may 2012.
I've bought my mattress though. Only with deliberate delayed delivery. Tested the bed on 3 different days and was comparing between slumberland and dunlopillo before decided on to buy the latter.

Maybe ur knowledge is limited... I can understand... If u dun believe me, there is really no point for me to say anything... If u think u are rich enuff to waste money on 3D, by all means...
Can u show me yr free 3D and also yr actual home done by other ID? Else, its empty talk again. i am keen to view. If its FOC by that ID firm bcas u have signed THEIR contract, then dont bother. Bcas its common knowledge it comes free once u signed it.

What happen... they sack their SALE PERSON and asked us to REPORT to CASE. Never return to fix up the toilet shower screen or even to refund of money. Worse is that the BOSS threaten "We know where you stay...better watch out."
The ex sale person informed he is terminated and also inform that the BOSS very angry and will not do the job as we had spread bad comments about them in forum and internet. This make him very unhappy to know about it.
CASE reported and pending . Not sure what will happen. For those who is interested with PD door. I suggest not to order or buy it. INSIST job done before payment. Else they will not honour theirs workmanship or words they talked... NOT even a paper or receipt to shown what is amended or discussed.

There is no industry practice... The ID even visited my house even i didnt committed w him... End up i oso dint sign up w him... Few things to note before u signed...
Firstly, check out the company review in renotalk first... skip those w bad reputation...
Secondly, look for about 5 to 6 company to compare pricing...
Third, if there is a company that provided super low pricing, beware... the company could be out to con u... It happened to my property agent's frd...
Lastly, dun rush, take ur time to decide... discuss w forum ppl here... it will help... I actually wanted to sign w U home til i saw their bad review here... Luckily i dint sign w them, if not i wont have a lonely house now...
Gd luck and enjoy the proceed... it can be a headache but it can be enjoyable too...

We've decided to not go with them as they charge a design fee that's separate from the contractor's fee. It originally sounded OK, but having thought about it a bit more, because our flat is so small, we feel it's not worth the fee. Would make sense if our flat was bigger and they had more room to play with. With 4 room flats, there's only so much you can do unless you hack the walls down.
Anyway, now they're not happy with me, saying they provided the floorplan in good faith because we were recommended by a former client, that that's not industry practice.
To be honest, I don't know what is "industry practice." I think it's reasonable for a client to expect to see something first, even if it's just a floor plan, before committing. They didn't even give us a contractor's quote, and how can one make a decision based on the portfolio and discussion about what can be done?
What can one expect from an ID in these early stages, before you pay anything? I want to be fair to IDs too ... I really don't want to take them for a ride, even if I don't mean it.

Could it be the ID printed out from one of his 'same' projects and claimed it to do it for you FOC? Unless i signed the contract, then its FOC. Hahahaaaa..... so many gimmicks here. LOL......
Why give FOC when others selling it at $100, 500 or 1000 or any amount they wanna to sell?!
It all depend on the company and the ID... He can give u FOC he want... if not he can charge u any amount he like.. There is no fix price... U will be a fool to pay for a 3D drawing... the product is likely different from end result..
Dun waste ur money unless u are too rich...

Received my mattress and bedframe right on time!!! They called a day in advance to confirm delivery and confirmed the timing…. On the delivery day, they came right on schedule…. And the mattress is super comfy!!! Personally, I feel Mattress Atrium is past their woes... U guys just have to book a month or 45 days in advance.... Ken was overly helpful and I had called him a week in advance to check up on the delivery and he assured me that it will be delivered... And seriously the mattress is heavenly.... Two Thumbs to them!!!

Seriously dun waste the 480.... It is going to peel again pretty soon cos their product is not of gd quality...
U might not be able to go SCT unless u have the receipt that state u buy is geninue leather
Then they give u not geninue leather... then u got a case... if not, i am afraid it is going to be hard..
The leather sofa we bought from species is also peeling! And they told us it is good quality german leather when we bought it.
Contacted them and they want us to pay 480 to re-upholster the sofa cos there is no product warranty.
Do you guys think this is too expensive?!
Btw, anyone knows if leatherbond is considered genuine leather?

hi happystar, I ordered a sofa and paid deposit during furniture show at Singapore Expo on 6 Jan 2012. I was promised delivery of sofa latest by 28 Feb 2012 after Chinese New Year. I received a call from them on 28 Feb 2012 demanding an extension to the delivery date as they claim the sofa shipment is stuck in China. Without much option, I had to agree as they will not return my deposit. On 19 March 2012, as they was no call from them about the delivery, I called to inquire about the delivery. To my great dismay, I was informed by them that the sofa shipment is still stuck in China and they will only be able to deliver on 19 April 2012 earliest. I requested them to return my deposit and they flatly rejected it.
I have now sought the help of CASE to assist in this matter.
Id Closed His Shop And Job Undone.
