  1. bro, i think your deal is so much better than mine.....

Me no freebies...no electrician done, no boxup and no full height mirrors... :bangwall:

i think my quote gg to shoot up higher than yours~~ :)

ohh u can try to put the ID name as my signature below:

No space on ID:SkyCreation (when u insert space, it will replace by **) try it

p/s: i guess Miss C is busying with your work hehe she didnt reply me for 2 days liow ~ :sport-smiley-018:

hard to compare ma, alot of factors involved....base on layout, works to be done etc etc.

mine is a simple job actually....no hacking, not much tiling. zero permit to apply and dun forget, I have NOTHING done for 2 bedrooms except for the wardrobes. :bleah:

the only killer is my flat height. all the carpentry become expensive. :dunno:

in fact....i have 70% confidence i can probably get almost 10k cheaper by going to other contractors with the same spec. but i no time to coordinate.

  2. Cox they didn mention how much they charging on installation of lights and the lights they are using

any other boxup (for the aircon pipes/trunkings, power cable trunkings etc)

electrical wiring for whole house (lighting points + power sockets etc) including cat 6 cabling (total lighting points will be around 20. will also add at least 1 power socket per room and do the provision for the fibre cable. also to do 1 additional 20A socket at a/c ledge since we plan to have 2 compressors.)

Additional 2 full height mirrors for master bedroom wardrobe to be fixed on the outside.

    its included in the 32k+

  3. Remember to add ard 6k - 8k to ur reno costing woh cox still got curtain, electrical work (lights installation, power point and etc) and plumbering.

    only curtains ma.

electrical works under the ID. plumbing also under ID. actually nothing to do except converting the basin with pedestal in common toilet to become vanity with basic

kitchen is only extend the pipe.

rain shower counted as bathroom fittings also....

  4. opps yeah sorry was having something in mind on my design :)

    Yes Simon, the mirror :sport-smiley-004:

its actually separate into 3 pieces since 1 big piece cannot go into the lift. forgot how much they quoted....need to check the quote. but total is 51sq feet

    Hi Simontsh,

Thanks for sharing those nice pic!

May i check didu sign up with **? Mind to PM me how much they quote with the details like u posted earlier?

Thanks Have a nice day! :P

    my ID s k y c r e a t i o n (why are they censored?). think mentioned in the first page and price too :sport-smiley-004:

Grey is classy :good: We are also gonna have black and grey in our house and old folks are frowning :D

:sport-smiley-004: waiting for final 3D on friday. hope all goes well.

side note : today the parquet guy come back to repair the parquet again. he also :bangwall: and KPKB at the BCA supervisor, 8| them for not using protection paper.

  5. hahhaaa ... u need super high ladders toooooooooo hehe .. ok lah .. but carpentry gt premiun right?

should have gotten 1 floor below ... at least those box up they do nt bad leh can do as light pelmet lor ..

ya carpentry is more expensive......but what to do....ai swee mai mia..... :dunno:

today receive facepalm news again :bangwall:

yesterday the building services say parquet guy done. today my wife went to check the parquet....indeed its repaired......but everywhere got visible scratches and plaster dust....I think the plaster guy (from HDB) came to work on the walls. :bangwall:

  6. OMG...............Simon,

I try to look at your 3D design...

we have 60% lookalike design...faint :bangwall: is like they are having a default template to copy and paste...

yours at least still look nice...

My tv feature wall sucks big time..

wait i go back n edit some of my stuff and post it..

Miss C still ok but hope to talk to her design team for better understanding.

I like your living hall with lights n false ceiling...~ :)

haha very hard for HDB to look different nowadays given that its the same floorplan for most projects? :bangwall:

yeah one thing we keep stressing to them was the ceiling....to have a 2.9m ceiling....only to do false ceiling and lower it sounds like a waste.

  7. For those who run cat6 cables in the room, pls come in to share.

I ran 1 cat 6 cables to each room, can I still put 4 port RJ45 face plate cos I will have 3 computers using it...Is there a way to link up? Sigh...shd run more cables but hubby said can loop n unneccessary...

For the tv console area, is it necessary to put RJ 45 face plate? Y did my electrician said no need cos can juz plug directly into the wireless router?is it correct???

    dunno if i am correct

but depending on which service you use....

starhub modem is on its own....so you connect it to your router which usually have 4 ports for LAN.

use 1 port for each room cat 6 (3 ports used in total)

then last port connect to a switch. switch will expand to 4-8 more ports. depending on which switch u get.

then u connect to your gadgets in your living room.

this way no need at RJ45 in living room.

then in your rooms, connect a router/switch to RJ45 again to expand the number of ports in each room.

for singtel, i think the modem they give is a router as well....comes with 4 ports.....so u connect router to one port.....then rooms to the other 3

router itself should have 4 ports for connection to gadgets in living room.

    i might be wrong tho.

  8. cove lights up and all lights settled except for mbr cabinet lights and the kitchen under cabinet light (not sure what to get ..)

total spending on lights 3.5k around i guess .. including 2 candeliers (crystal) did i overdo ?

    where are the pictures? :sport-smiley-004:

  9. Bro...your file got problem i cant see the 3D pics...

I want to see what she did for u as i send her a nasty email haha

She did screw up my 3D and say that i left 1 more chance to change...

she didnt pick up the details that i mentioned....

Bro kang jiong to see your 3D leh~

what was her reply after ur email? :sport-smiley-004:

True lah that's why I had to build one box up to hang the aircon .. The rest all booked up .. Even toilet lol

means alot of boxup eh? me waiting for aircon guy to finish then see how to make full use of the trunkings....maybe extend some shelves or something

  10. u nt doing feature wall ar?

haha my contractor not gg paint my wall cause he says waste paint haha cause gg to put the feature wall up so wont see .. -___-"

we opted for not having a feature wall. because whatever design end up also spoil by the aircon that will be there....so leave it blank so that either do display shelf or some laminate or wall decal in future if find it empty haha.

i had this idea of a infinity mirror hahah dunno if will work

    anyway

    common toilet 3D

    commonv.jpg

the stupid space so small...want to do anything also difficult...so just leave it simple....the drawing look not bad cause they never factor in the aircon trunking  think add trunking liao will be ugly again :bangwall:

  11. Black mirror should go well with walnut wood for your dinning table and chairs I guess. And since your dinning area looks dark, wana go for dark colors at your TV area as well to match? Cos it looks like your sofa, flooring and TV console is light in colors.

Not intending to do a TV feature wall? like a wallpaper? Decal? or other decorations? It could bring out a talking point in your living room.

    :sport-smiley-018:

And you have to be extra careful when they say they give you full-height mirrors. Because its usually quite difficult to get it into a lift, not to mention its a fragile item. :)

the ID recommended dark grey for the wall behind the TV lo.....but i dunno if its a gd idea.

my tv console definitely light colour. we tested with wood grain not nice. sofa thinking to be dark or light colour. curtains already dark colour. I initially thought of having dark colour for the lightboxes but ID scare it will look very heavy ...

noted on the full height mirrors...will check with them

  12. Hi... will you be getting tinted mirror for your dining area? IMHO it's look nicer and classy with a tinted mirror. Depending on your theme, but personally I like dark color for the feature wall to provide a good contrast from the light colored floor tiles....

Hi hi....yes will be a black mirror :)

at the last meeting....we changed the colour to a dark grey..... i think similar to THIS COLOUR

but not sure if it clashes with the furnishings....especially the dining table.
