Love your stove. wanted to get those but wife disagrees.. so have you used the grill? easy to maintain?

yes it's easy to clean. but lava rocks are needed to be changed quarterly. using it weekly btw. just avoid grilling pork because of the strong smell and grease. chicken, fish and less greasy stuff is fine.

  3. I see, I thought your light bulbs above your island and further in the kitchen are naked ones. Edison bulb is **** cool, but I think it consumes more electricity.

yeah it is energy consuming! i have 3 40w globe bulbs in the dining area so total of 120w! like running a pc already

  4. Yep, the 4 watts ones, the black bulbs really more for decorative, although over them they do provide a nicer ambience for dining. The white bulbs actually look brighter! Even though same wattage.

hahah nice we have the same fridge! the best stylish fridge ever for small space

  5. most exciting was when my lights went up...been very scared of how everything will look, just cannot visualise how lights will make the place feel....glad to report it feels extremely homey! :)

I can see the nice NUD Hanging lights. are those the 4w one?

  6. Hi, thanks for your reply. I don't quite get the part of a better lava rock, you mean the rock will affect the cooking taste?? I just thought they are there to provide the heat.

yep definitely. just like charcoal does though a bit more subtle (like japanese yakitori).

  7. My reno has come to an end, in a not very satisfying mood from S (my hubby) & me. We are unhappy that our contractor gave up & do not want to come back for rectification work. We sensed his reluctances to meet us almost near towards the end of the project nonetheless i didn't expect him to leave just like that. A few tasks are pretty simple to do when we laid our hands on after he left, just don't understand what's so difficult at his end!

1 example: Grouting(see the pic below). Isn't that ugly?? During the laying of tiles, we reminded him several times to lay protection cover when we noticed they did not. We paid for the protection btw, they dragged for many days & only do it when the tiles are **** dirty. Fine! Anyway we did highlight earlier, that anything which is not up to our favour, they ought to replace / re-do it.

The end result turned out to be like that, i am furious & requested them to do whatever they can, to make the grouting clean & match the tiles. Ultimately, they failed to deliver & came up with many excuses.

What my hubby & me did after they withdrawn out. We are not professional in this area but yet we try to find ways to do it.

Yah me too at first i was gonna recommend THEM to my friends that are revamping their home. Though my experience is not satisfying also! So they are on my ban list, they just come for the money and bailout/act blur/or whatever nonsense. All the procrastination, disgruntled scheduling/delays, unfinished works (the holes outside my place haven't sealed and touch up haven't done properly).

  8. This morning went up to see the paint work again. I really can't accept the workmanship, call my contractor on the way to work as he will be going to my house first before meeting me later. I told him to check if the painter has finished painting or not because to me the ceiling n wall like not 'blend', just like shirt not tuck into the pants. I don't know if I'm too picky or anyone can accept such paint job. Somemore, today they are going to fix the W/C, lightings and my Kronotex coming to lay the floor also. I wonder if they can still repaint the walls.

MBR - Can see right, the wall paint splashed onto the ceiling

    Picture004a-3.jpg

This one worse, one patch there.

    Picture003a-4.jpg

Door frame - Nice but we wanted a right angle profile, not complete yet

    Picture002a-4.jpg

    MBR piping

    Picture001a-4.jpg

Look at the corner, I can't accept loh. :furious:

    Picture005a-3.jpg

Yah the paint job is not done properly like they are rushing or something. Anyway still in good progress!

  9. Hi cjred,

Your flat looks clean yet stylish! :thumbs up:

Wonder where you got the red and black cylinder storage and the price?

I've been looking for them! :dribble:

    Thanks,

    Blackjack

Lifestorey at Great World City around $130 each for the 2elements... the taller 3 elements cost aroun $200 i think.

  10. Hi cjred, nice home you had. Can you help to comment on the Ariston electric griller you had and how much you paid for it. Is it useful? Thanks

Hi smartgold. the electric griller is quite fine just fined a better lava rock to make your grilled stuff tastier. Around 400+ at Mayer Plaza sing. Definitely useful for quick and small grilling. Just remember its only for small grilling, i tried a massive one and its very messy for the whole house! lol
