  1. I have two more buyers from Punggol Arcadia, plus myself total 3, maybe more of my neighbours will join in the next few days.

  2. Hi, I am interested in group buy, and I can bring more neighbours from Punggol Arcadia.

May I know what is your group buy prices for SHS 6020, SHS 5230 and Gateman F100?

I need an indicative price range to post in our Arcadia Facebook internal group.

    Thanks

    Brian

  3. I have just bought most of my lights from Malaysia, the prices are quite good, like downlights price is only RM23 including bulbs. Need add 7% GST when bring them back to Singapore. In Singapore, most shops are selling downlights at S$20-30, however, today I found a shop in Jalan Berseh selling downlights at only SGD14 (including bulbs), and some of their ceiling lights prices are even better than Malaysia shop, and design is very nice too. Their websites have all the prices, and some for sale item prices in the shop are lower than their website. www.glitzylights.com
  4. My new 5-room flat has total 40 Amps Main Switch. If we install two inverter airconditioner systems, one is sys 4 (running current 11.11A), the other is sys 1 (running current 3.3A), the total current is under 15 Amp, can we link both system to the HDB single 20Amp Isolator in the air-con ledge? Or we need an electrician to install an additonal isolator, each system get a dedicated isolator? Someone told me each system may need one, but I check HDB Guidelines for Air-Conditioners Installation Works, cannot find this rule: http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10324p.nsf/w/HomeRenoGuidelinesAirCon?OpenDocument
  5. post to wrong board, please removed this, thanks! Will repost to renovation work forum
  6. No, the electrician is an individual, the ID told me the electrician is appointed by ID's company, so it is alright. I am not sure whether this is a common practice in the market. In the EMA website, There is no search item for company, all for individual. http://elise.ema.gov.sg/elise/findworkerservlet?Operation=GetOffer&Item=EL
  7. My ID recommanded an electrician for my HDB new flat wiring work. I check the electrician's name in EMA website, http://elise.ema.gov.sg/elise/findworkerservlet?Operation=GetOffer&Item=EL I searched the recommanded worker's name and find no results. However my ID said it is OK to hire him because his company is registered. I guess this is not right, but not sure how much is the risk in the legal side. For technical side, my unit is premium contract, not much works. Anyone can give advice? Thanks!
  8. Thanks for good feedback, I am about to call Eric tomorrow and lucky I see your post, may I know at the end which one you buy, how is the quality? Thanks in advance!
  9. Has anyone used IKEA Kitchen cabiniet for more than 6 months and give some comments? IKEA products give many people an impression that it is not durable, I have used their bookshelf and computer tables, the quality is just so-so, can throw away after 5 years with no pain but happy. However the recent visit to their Tampines store and find those S$4000-6000 per set Kitchen cabinet is quite attractive, and the staff told me that the worktop can customized according to my kitchen size, just the cabinets are factory made. However they have cabinet size from 30cm width to 80cm, so we can just choose different size, in the end if there is a gap, should be less than 20cm, and they can use a same color board to cover this gap. One difference from contractor made cabinet is IKEA base cabinet does not need a cement base. I have not decided whether to try it, anyone try these IKEA cabinets before, could you please share your experiences, thank you! Their product page is here: http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/categories/departments/kitchen/10470/ Also I found this page in the IKEA website: http://www.ikeafans.com/kitchen-planning-guide/ikea-kitchen-quality.html
  10. Must ask ID to give quantity of each item and unit price. They have no way to create quotations without these detail, and the reason they do not give, is suspicious.
  11. living room can use non-inverter if you only use it once in a week, bedroom should get inverter because most people will turn on it all night if aircon is there, even the initial plan is to keep it off and save money.
  12. Of course, if you don't use, the 30% will never be recovered. http://els.nea.gov.sg/mels/aircon.asp non-inverter Brand Model Type Green Ticks Cooling Capacity (kW) COP* Annual Energy Consumption (kWh)1 Estimated Energy Cost ($)2 Mitsubishi Electric MUX-4BD26VB Multi-split (non-inverter) 2 7.44 2.93 7388 2250 Brand Model Type Green Ticks Cooling Capacity (kW) COP* Part Load COP# Annual Energy Consumption (kWh)1 Estimated Energy Cost ($)2 Full Load Part Load Full Load Part Load Mitsubishi Electric MXY-4A28VA, MXY-4A28VA-R7 Multi-split (inverter) 4 7.52 3.44 5.08 6395 2132 1947 649 When it is part load, one year's difference is SGD1500, if full load, then difference only S$303, need 3 years to recover. most aircon can use 8-10 years this is based on Sys 4, inverter 7.5KW cooling capacity, non-inverter 7.44KW, usage pattern is 8 hours per day
  13. 1: Generally speaking, inverter save 30% more in electricity bill, so if you using aircon more, definitely need inverter; if not so often use, then non-inverter is fine. For one off buying cost, inverter may be 30% higher. 2: The inverter motor starting way make it more durable, and Singapore labor cost is high, reduce potential repairing cost is important; 3: In old HDB, non-inverter sys 3 or 4, the running current easily exceed HDB limit which is only 8.5A; 4: Inverter is much quieter, this is hard to value it by money, depends. 5: most inverter is using R410a, and non-inverter r22, which will be banned after 2020
  14. Thanks for help! My question is, for a 10 sqm common room, is 9K BTU/hr a waste? It only need 5K to 6K is enough, am I right? By the way, I just found that Mitsubishi also has 5K to 6K small indoor units, like MSY-GE10VA
  15. If you usage pattern is on off on off, then better choose inverter. The non-inverter motor need a few times more current just to restart, that is major drawback for non-inverter.
