  1. hey schizoid, congrats! your reno turned out very nicely. your daily supervision at the house during the reno stage paid off! i like your dry kitchen, the lamp is really nice! Love your study too, nice cosy corner for chilling out! Ha you are such an optimist - "happy thoughts, happy thoughts!" Enjoy your new house and have a great start to 2012!
  2. Hope your rectification works can be done really quickly! Otherwise, really have to push your ID. It's been sometime since you moved in? Jiayou! And yes, would love to see your photos!
  3. Haha!!! Okies, everyone be safe around these gypsum boards...
  4. Hey schizoid, I'm going to ask a totally dumb question - are the boards tough enough to withstand the force if a person literally ?
  5. Hey, I hafta agree with edenstrauss. Exposed pipes, though less pretty, are easier to maintain cos you can see all the actual trouble areas and you don't have to hack to replace suspected trouble spots. Hope you are starting to pack!
  6. Hope your not-so-nice neighbours didn't affect your reno schedule. Good that you are focused on completion. Hang in there, the end is near!
  7. Last two weeks to finish line! Under your watch, I'm sure everything will be right on track, with minimal (zero) hiccups! Once electrician and plumber finish their work, the rest of it will be just deliver, assemble, deliver, assemble. Hang in there pallie!
  8. The plastered effect is nice! Must introduce your plastering team to me when I get a chance to do my house next time! Everything seems back on track despite the delays. *phew* keeping my fingers crossed for you. Jiayou!
  9. Hey hey, I see the sore thumb is gone! Abit late but better than never Three weeks to move in! I feel excited for ya hope everything goes faster than zoom zoom in the weeks to come. Guess with the tiling and wet works all done, you can have many groups of people working on your place!
  10. hey schizoid, you might want to consider to treat your ceiling/roof if you can't get to your neighbours. i don't think HDB will get your neighbours to re-do their floor. nonetheless worth a try to give HDB a ring to ask TO to take a look at the ceiling. hope all goes well! jiayou! btw your floor tiles for the bedroom are looking good, almost parquet like!
  11. Your tilers work fast! Must say that your dry kitchen looks a lot bigger now that the tiling is completed!
  12. Bet you must have been cheering when the HDB TO said the magic word Another thing check on your gargantuan to-do list
  13. everything is looking good! ahh good to know that the contractor from upstairs is coming to take a look. don't let him bully you ya? must show him "the look" heehee! hopefully all goes well before the long weekend!
  14. I must put a very huge disclaimer that I am no expert in this area it's all from observations. Guess you hafta check the "quality" of the peeling paint. The peeling paint for the area that's leaking is usually uneven and has this "bubbly" looking surface, not a flat piece. Hope this helps
