  3. Some pictures taken on our day of key collection~ Wayyy overdue~ Open terrace... Afternoon sun shining into the living area View from MBR window View from staircase leading to MBR Afternoon sun on the open terrace
  4. We did thought of that but later found out that it's illegal to cover the space. So now we'll learn to enjoy the sound of raindrops splattering on the open terrace~
  5. Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of updates! Finally got my keys from hdb!! Hehe...taken a few pictures of the unfurnished interior and will update them soon!! Hi NeoBy, i bought it from Courts, $99 after using $50 voucher from Megatex (original price: $149).
  6. Sorry for the lack of updates and replies! Anyway, finally bought a few things for our place! Not alot though (bf is a very fussy shopper , so our progress has been really slow)... panasonic washing machine NA-148VG3 front loading Cornell Rice Cooker RCG28 ($10 PWP at Megatex!) Coffee Table Sharp AQUOS 40" 3D LED TV Long footstool Now having a headache with the fridge selection. Sofa and lightings are next up on my list (though you can see the things we bought aint really priority-driven. Pretty much controlled by fate. Haha..)
  7. E blackout ones are the ones we were planning to get. Mind sharing ur t-blog w me?
  8. Hi Piknik aka Sale of balance flat 2011-er. Haha..just like you, I too have a terrible budget constraints but still wanna renovate my place. I believe w low budget out place can tun out good also well, just gotta do lots of research n budgeting! Good luck!
  9. Dont think we'll be getting automated blinds anyway, too much of a splurge. Hahaha..by the way, how much does ur blinds cost u?
  10. Thanks for all the great idea! I so want a kitchen w an island too. I had so much idea for an open concept but had a great disappointment when i saw e switchbox layout! Apparently the wall between kitchen n dining area cant be hacked as we suspect the circuit box and switches are there. Not undo-able but it wld mea alot of rewiring to be done. Sigh. Now im down to a boring kitchen. Bedroom 2 will be used as my study room (but minimal work will be done for now, save cost) and study room 3 is for my mum who is staying w us temporary, as that room has more privacy.
  11. Bedroom 2 can access open terrace directly. MBR can look down from the windows to open terrace too. Windows and stairs will only know when i go in. As far as I know, there are a few members on RT living in treelodge but none are holding the loft unit. If you know pls tell me as i have tonnes of qns to ask them too! Thanks!
  12. The way I see it, I dont think so. Anyway it's so high up, abit difficult open also. And the high glass panel maximise light entry, so the entire place appears much larger than it really is. =)
  13. hihi, which block are you staying at?

  14. Merry X'mas to all! 10 more days to key collection!
  15. wah are u an engineer? lols. the double ht void seemed to be more like a "lifestyle living" kind of concept rather than maximising space utilisation. haha..any suggestions?
  16. Oh~ in the end which one did you choose? Haha..thanks. I hope so too! =)))
  17. The dining area almost non-existent and so the idea of Alfresco dining also occurred to me. hehehe, any good outdoor furniture to recommend? And yup likely we're going for blinds too. Any idea is it much more exp? =)
  18. Ya...! We're hoping to get blinds though. Haha...He wanted automated one lor...sure burst budget. >.<
  19. Yes! And i have no idea how to clean the windows! So high up! Haha..i shall let the person who insisted on this unit to clean the high window
  20. Lols, unfortunately i havent got a chance to go in yet!! Will post the pictures once i collected the keys! Wah, i was quite against the idea of getting this unit initially cos i just started working only nt too long ago, dont wanna bite more than i can swallow! But my bf really love this unit, said he'll regret for the rest of his life if he doesnt choose it if he can. >.< emotional blackmail! Anyway, i visited ur t-blog too! Beautiful place! Very big!! ^^
  21. Hahaha...our Q number is 5 and all along I thought Q number 1-4 would have taken it. For some strange reason they didnt~! And yup, I really hope I can do justice to the place with my limited budget ! *stressed*
  22. Haha..not yet!! We're only collecting the keys on 5th Jan, will take a look around the house first then decide!
  23. Hi People, like many others, I have been a lurker in RT for quite some time. Read through most of the T-blog (actually most of the time just looking at the pictures), and drooled over most of them. I will be joining in the adventure and hoping to learn more tips in the process! My bf and I tried for the sale of balance flats 2011 and in the end managed to grab the only loft unit left in Treelodge@Punggol. I saw a few RT forumers who are also from Treelodge and I have to say they made up their homes really well! As the house itself is really costly and I have only been working for a short time (suicidal, yeah), the theme we are going for is minimalist. I believe a minimalist home can also be nice! hehe, so stay tune! Let's start off with my floorplan We managed to sneak a peek through the doors when the HDB contractors did not lock it after they were done... Loving the high windows! Will post more pictures when I have the time!
