  1. Sorry for the late reply, I've been out of town. My ceilings are exactly 8ft so 2.43m, not very different from yours.
  2. Mine were 1.75m I think. You can do 1m but you couldn't get much of a loopy effect and not much of a drop. How much drop also depends on your ceiling height & if you are doing any false ceilings. I think if I had to redo mine, I'd go for 1.5m.
  3. Oh, I see what you mean. Personally I think it might make the space look a little too busy unless you have a spacious passageway in your kitchen and can position the light a little further away from the cabinet.
  4. Unfortunately I have no idea, I first saw it on pinterest and it comes up pretty regularly with lots of repins. If you end up doing something like this, I think it will look very cool... hope you share it on your t-blog!
  5. I don't know if I would use it as a light for master bedroom though, I think it's a little too flimsy. Lorgans is pretty fun to browse in if you like vintage style. Lots of stuff and the guys are really friendly.
  6. The round drum light was from Ikea. I have no idea how well it will hold up because it seems to be mainly wire, plastic and paper but oh well... the only thing I'm wondering is how to clean it? Maybe just dust with feather duster? I originally bought it with Ikea light bulbs which are a little yellow, I switched them out and now that light is really bright... the Ikea bulbs made the room look so dim. The living room light from Lorgan is a vintage one, brand new would be over $1.5k... I ended up paying about 1/3 of the cost of a new one.
  7. sunny613 & jazzysoul, PM'ed Alan's contact to both of you.
  8. Thompson but I can't recall the model numbers sorry.
  9. I've seen many on etsy if you don't mind ordering from overseas... some really unusual designs as well.
  10. Thanks weezersg! I'm trying hard to go really minimalist with little storage so I'm not able to accumulate stuff. Let's see how well I cope. My place is in Commonwealth, I guess all these flats were built around the same time so the layout is very similar.
  11. It's good value but a little smaller internally that I expected.
  12. I ordered it from Dream Interiors. As for the price, let's just say it's one of those that I chose to save up for because I really love it.
  13. Does anyone have recommendations for shops to check out? I will be there for a week long work trip later this month. Thanks!
  14. Nice to see another person from RT in Commonwealth! Looking forward to seeing photos of your reno.
  15. Finally made up my mind and put a deposit down on my bed! Now just need to be patient and wait...
  16. The dining lights were built for me by an uncle from Sim Lim Tower as hoaili mentions. hoaili got a great deal in JB so maybe you might like to PM him for the name of the shop there?
  17. That's great! Price is really reasonable compared to what that shop in Jalan Besar was asking for, theirs was 5 bulbs and more expensive the more bulbs added. Look forward to seeing it on your t-blog once you start reno.
  18. I bought it from Amazon. I like the design but as you can see, there is definitely space to spare... I think this also fits American Jumbo sized toilet rolls. http://www.amazon.com/InterDesign-Classico-Over-Tank-Vertical-Tissue/dp/B000OMNP9W/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1345963548&sr=8-12&keywords=toilet+holder+tank Howards Storage World has something similar to this if you like this design as well http://www.amazon.com/Classico-Over-Tank-Tissue-Holder/dp/B004AHP7A2/ref=sr_1_67?ie=UTF8&qid=1345963731&sr=8-67&keywords=toilet+holder+tank
  19. The cream one? That was from The Home Gallery at 8 Pandan Crescent. Yes it's fabric but they did have other colours to chose from if you prefer something in a darker shade. I saw something similar (but slightly more expensive at The Next Phase in Kaki Bukit but I prefer the cushioning in the sofa from The Home Gallery
  20. My living room light got re-positioned and fixed this afternoon! Thumbs up to the electrician who was recommended by Lorgans, he was very patient to get the light sorted out & working beautifully! So pleased with it
  21. Lol! I don't think they will let me put down just $50... I wish they would though!
