  1. had very bad experience at heritage geylang. bought this magnum 900mm black basin cabinet for $680 and this magnum 600mm brown basin cabinet for $450. First claiming $30 extra for black colour. When it was delivered, it was delivered with sharp metal handles when we had specifically asked for no handles. They then claimed all black cabinets come with the handles. So I had no choice but to change to brown colour, then they claimed magnum said there will be a $80 delivery charge for the replacement. What the heck! Eventually they relented & absorbed the $80 delivery charge I am already not very happy. The magnum delivery guy came at 5.30pm when the scheduled time was between 1-3pm. My mum had been waiting since 12.30pm. They then owed me $30 credit (because brown is cheaper than black) & they insist that I had to buy things from them to deduct the $30 credit. The above happened about 2 weeks ago. I didn't bother to post it up then because what happened I just let it pass. Then, I thought it was the supplier's fault magnum more than heritage. Now just installed the shower set brand tuscani which they claim was from italy and highly recommended (bought at $178) and was leaking all the way from the showerhead & hose. This was for the common bathroom & I haven even check the master bathroom. When I called them, that yuki just said to bring them to the store for exchange without even an apology. I had paid for installation, now had to pay for de-installing & then again to install them again. What if the second piece leaks again?? Super bad customer service & product quality. Why are there any recommendations on renotalk for this shop??? Super sheeshed now.
  2. ya that's what he says too. but hazardly mix & match colours like that hardly make it a retro theme. it's more like a big playground. isn't it too early for babies?
  3. he insisted on the purple sofa (dansbo lilac) leh. Think I'm going to get a headache. Red console, purple sofa & black coffee table. black dining table with orange & red chairs

  6. Which artshop sells these black sticker?? Thanks
  7. I had this problem with my windows/balcony. Thinking of changing all the windows since they are more than 10+ years old but the MCST told me that if i have to change, I need to change back to the same ugly dirty blue colour, as this will affect the facade of the building. So I am hesitant to spend $2-3k to change to these ugly windows again. Can anyone advise if we can DIY the colour to black from the interior? spray paint, paint, wallpaper, or sticker film these window panes/frames? 10. me too at 32 weeks. do you start having these backaches? it was so bad i can't sleep at night. i didn't even have time to prepare for baby stuff. Luckily got many good friends who gave me all their baby stuff & prepared a list of things I should prepare.
  11. Thanks, but I really doing everything leh. Not a single thing by hubby. It's so exhausting.
  12. I really don't know about renovations or anything remotely about it. I don't have very high expectations though, just expecting simple clean design & durable materials. So when I compare this kitchen to my current place & my parents' old hdb flat at sengkang, I was concerned that the wood seems so much lighter, hollow & cheap & worried it will rot within a year. I reckon they should be using PVC & not polyester. The kitchen cabinets cost about $3200 in total (l-shape abt 17" or less top, 15" or 16" bottom minus one fridge size)& $1220 kitchen top (should be polyester - at $80pf). There is no backsplash. Should I request one? Can we just use big piece of aluminium foil? They have already installed all the kitchen cabinets, sink, hood, only left the stove, sink tap, & kitchen top.
  13. it's not chipboard, they say it's 3 plywood. is that as bad?
  14. both of us are working full time,& by the time we come back home it's almost 8pm. My mum is monitoring them but she's always ok with everything kind. My hubby is the bochup type & I am heavily pregnant too tired to check on every single thing. He's the kind that everything also ok kind, so we are like quarrelling almost everyday. So sian! It's so unfair that I had to do so many things.
  15. I'm actually not very satisfied with my reno, not very happy with the common bathroom, the feature wall tiles look so weird against the other tiles in the common bathroom but my family ask me to just tahan loh. The matching skills of the sales lady at hafary not so good leh, doesn't match at all. The expensive magnum cabinets are a rip off, we bought $650 for 900mm & $450 for 600mm cabinets but the wood is so-so & looks inexpensive type, only the sink looks not bad, not worth the money spent! My hubby spent so much on the toilets, over $1400 on the bathroom accessories! The kitchen cabinets look quite cheap loh, not even comparable to ikea. Perhapps the kitchen top not up yet so it doesn't look very nice. Hopefully the wardrobe will look nicer. Of nicer things, I'm very satisfied with my master bathroom tiles, they look very nice, except the magnum 900mm cabinet spoil its looks abit. I love most of my lights though. They were beautiful. The ceiling fan that I ordered from jerome came with the wrong light fittings & did not come with bulbs but I never checked and were installed when I were not around. Just had to live with it.
  16. just checked last night that kitchen cabinets up, not very good quality leh, the wood like very hollow like that, abit disappointed. Is this common? The hood is up, left the stove & sink tap & the kitchen top.
  17. Thanks will the chemical spoil the laminate or certain tiles??
  18. May I check if chemical wash shd be done after everything is done or shd be done after tiling but before carpentry works.
