  1. Hi Ocean, Isit $80 per foot run (how kitchen charges are calculated) or per square foot?

Hi Perthy, so for worktop, the costs should be (worktop length x kompactop cost $pfr) + (cabinets length (incl bottom & top) x cabinet cost $pfr). If you're charged 3.6k for 10 ft top / bottom / island, it's hard to tell how much is the worktop pfr unless we know the cabinet pfr.

  5. Hi folks, hope this thread is active still.

Anyone knows how to DIY a "brick" wall for feature wall? I understand from some contractors it can be done by applying plaster & then drawing lines...of course, sounds easy but just wanna know if it's DIY-able. Otherwise, how about just plastering without making the wall even?

    Thanks lots!

  6. Hi, am a noob but been reading forum..

I went to Harfary showroom at Defu today & there's a promotion for sanitary wares. iLife brand of shower head, shower mixer & basin mixer + Bravat basin & toilet bowl = $818 to $1028. Abt 4-5 models from each brand to choose from. Discount of abt $200-$300 from RP.

I wonder if anyone has experience with these brands & is the promo cheap?

  7. Hi all,

Been reading the forum before I registered and some of the forumers seem experienced & give sound advice.

I just bought a terrace house that requires renovation. Would like to ask, for hacking of walls to extend the space, is PE approval and BCA required? I'l doing a toilet extension on ground floor and 2 room extension on 2nd floor.

1 contractor said no approvals required, he has done it for a similar house down the street. Another said PE needs to come and certify. If approval required then gotta submit to BCA. I checked BCA's guidelines on renovation approval requirements and extension of rooms doesnt appear in their waiver list.

Wondering if anyone can comment? Most appreciate it.
