    Hi vacanthost, long time no speak... Dammit, we are regretting not opting for Dorothy. Anyways now that we are stuck in our renovation, have to just bite and bear it all the way

    I don't think you made a bad choice. Perhaps just bad timing. Lessons learn is that, ask the ID how many projects do they have and when are they completing.

    One persons attention is only so much. This is something i have learned.

    Hi redder, if you can afford time to manage the renovation yourself and keep an eye (daily eye for us. Mr E is now there everyday during their work hours) on the works, then you can consider Alan: 9889 2008.

    There is another ID that we now regret not choosing her-Dorothy. Have a feeling that she may be better in monitoring and her cost equally competitive as compared to Alan's. her email is inlookz@yahoo.com good luck!

    Dorothy tiler named 小黑。is very nice. He look very fierce but gentle inside. You can ask him to redo without any problem.

    She is really not calculative, i did all my switches double gang power socket and i asked her how much to top up. She say no need lah. 随便啦。

    But you must have your own ideas else she will give you standard HDB designs based on what she did.

    Dorothy is very nice lady, She even gave me ang pow for my wedding and ask me to treat my wife well!

    The finishing uncle spokes well of her and he is very meticulous.

    I am very envious of your Brandt Induction Hob. I saw the same thing at Harvey Norman and really wanted it. But I think the cheapest we could find for it was 1200 plus. Felt it was really too exp, because we know we won't cook often, so we went for the cheaper Taiyo. Still feel my heart abit pain when I think about it, because I really love the Brandt one.

    Really you should enjoy your Taiyo. Brandt is just a brand and i am very sure its an OEM product. so make sure you get your Brandt in your next house. We spend 40k on our mickey mouse. So you must be proud of yourself having that discipline to make do with what you need.

    I think all of us are proud of you to remind us to be prudent at times. :)

    I am looking at same Blanco silgranit sink for my place too.

    Where did you buy it from and how much did u pay for it? Do you mind sharing it?

    Your taste and my taste for kitchen seems to similar. I am also doing black and white kitchen.

    I like your kitchen tiles. It is beautiful.

    I forgot the Blanco price but i got it from Hoe Kee. Price should be the same if you ask them now. Now my only worry is if we are affected by en bloc.

    I think if i have a choice i would do a white on white kitchen. It would look radical.

    Life is pretty good. Enjoying the decor but one complaint wardrobe spaces is not enough for my wife. You met her, that day, you can't imagine the amount of shoes and clothings. *Faintz*

    I really feel very relax at home from the retro ambience which is a different world coming back from work.

    And i am very sure you will feel the same too. I know you have some problems with your contractors, but look at the brighter side. It will never be 100% what you expect.

    I am controlling her buying habits. Buy 1 and discard 1 is a must now.

    Yes. they are water resistant. I have no problem with them at all. However they are still wood, and u can't compare to vinyl which i don't recommend because it constantly release formaldehyde.

    Have you gotten your krono? It really depends on the quality, loading, delivery, model numbers, accessories. But i have to tell you supernatural and vintage narrow are high end liaoz.

    I got mine from An Huat, sealant done by my contractor. When you are at An Huat, you probably won't feel the slipperiness of the tiles. I felt it only after sealant was applied. A friend commented the same too when she popped by to visit and helped me mopped the floor.

    Vacanthost did the ceramic tiles for their kitchen, perhaps you can check if theirs were slippery before you use it for toilet floor.

    My contractor had originally asked me to choose another design and use it as toilet wall feature instead of as floor, which i didn't listen. A bit too late for me to regret now.. Haaa

    i bought mine from unlimited. they have a three type of sealer gloss semigloss n matt. i took matt not slippery at all.

    We are heading to An Huat this Sat to take a look at their tiles. Read from one of the tblogs that they supply such floral tiles to the other shops. This is our first tile visit so what should we expect and what should we ask?

    Go to unlimited and view the selection, then ask your designer to buy. They have discounts.for sealer dont ask unlimited to seal, ask your designer to seal for you as its cheaper.
