  1. Laminate floor boards have arrived! Closeup of the laminate
  2. LED track lights at kitchen. Will change the bulbs to warm white though...
  3. Lights and Haiku are up!! Pending flooring..
  4. Hi Mike, Our toilet is super tiny, hence not able to do any fancy design anyway. We decided to do spray paint coz it's about half the price of changing the wall tiles. We cheapo hehee The floor tiles were still hacked and retiled though. Didn't aware of the cleaning issue until seeing the previous post. But it was too late for us to change the decision as we already put down the deposit for spray paint and need to move in by end of the month. So just praying that this wall can last us for about 5 years and we would be more than happy. Worst come to worst, spray paint another layer?? Btw, they have finished the work yesterday. But the surface is not as smooth as the sample although we choose the one color type. Overall is still acceptable.
  5. 1st day of spray painting - base coat is done. All toilet fittings are covered. Ceiling is covered too.
  6. Yes you are right! Today I passed by a hardware shop in Sims Avenue and found out they are selling the same item for only $35 (China brand). This shop also has another better quality model (Australia brand) and the price is $80. Heritage carry only the China brand and they up the selling price by a whopping $30. I find that Heritage price for the bigger items (such as toilet bowl, wash basin, etc) are alright, but for the smaller items like taps and accessories, their prices are highly marked up. Previously, I didn't have time to source around hence just settled with that option. But now I feel I was ripped off
  7. Hi Terrain1976, Floor trap was bought at Heritage Bathroom Gallery on Geylang Rd. Price: $65 before GST.
  8. You are so lucky! We also want to purchase the same fridge. Is the price after or before GST?
  9. Plastering and electrical all done. Pending Gain City to install aircon before L-box and painting. Most of the remaining works cannot be done until the aircon is installed Toilet floor completed with my lovely floortrap. Glad I bought it Overall the progress is rather fast. Only after 5 days, most of the main work has been completed. What a surprise when we came and view the house on Sat morning. Didn't have a change to change my mind about the lighting arrangement. But overall I'm still happy with that
  10. Too bad we already put down the deposit for the spray paint May I know which company you used? Did you spray the plain color or the pattern one?
  11. Yup, will be spraying them as I really like the idea of getting rid of the grout lines Still thinking whether to spray all white or with a dash of color
  12. Our contractor is very fast. Hacking and waterproofing for both toilets done. All lights are removed to get ready for plastering! I popped by the house last night to see see but no light, hence no photos hehe
  13. Our super duper tiny toilet. Have not seen any toilets smaller than ours. Been cracking our heads to fit the sink yet still have space for showering. And our master toilet is smaller than common toilet Master toilet Common toilet
  14. From my research, the air flow of FS890R is 320-525m3/h. Reference: http://www.ff888.com/files/FUJIOH%20Catalogue%20Part%20One.jpg I read somewhere on the net that FS890R is not as strong as FX900. Can't find the link any more. Correct me if I'm wrong
  15. Hi yhliang, Mind sharing the address of this hardware shop? Thanks in advance!!
  16. Initially I ordered the Fujioh glass hob as it is cheaper to buy in a package with the hood. However, after some research it seems that the glass hob is prone to breaking if cooking for long hours or very hot flame. The sale auntie in Hoe Kee told us Fujioh glass has lifetime warranty though. I rather skip the hassle, especially after the wrong info given, and use the current stainless steel hob since we are not doing the bottom cabinet at this time. If we ever need one in the future, would probably get a Rinnai hob
  17. Things bought so far: Haiku fan in white. Bought from Universal Union at $740 before GST. Was told it the last piece then, hence I had to rush from work to get it. Cash and carry! I'm super kiasu Fujioh Slim Hood FX900. Bought from Hoe Kee IMM at $360 after GST. Initially got the FS890 model as the sale auntie told us it was stronger and Made in Japan. Only went home and found out the FS890 was actually not as strong as FX900. Have to go all the way their to exchange as they don't allow to change via phone. Not happy with the service and wrong info given.
  18. Hi yhliang, Nice to e-meet you. Are you in AMK too?
  19. Hi May_Dream1, Ours is blk 3xx. I'm a secret admirer of your house, especially the kitchen island . Wish I have all that space. I love cooking too
  20. Hi Rover, We have engaged a contractor instead of ID as we already have in mind what to be done So far I am super happy with his service. Hopefully everything will go smoothly all the way till the end Been playing around with Floorplanner and this is the layout. Nothing fancy though. Main theme is White and Wood. We love to have a brick wall after seeing many nice photos here. But the labour costs for brick wall is over budget. In the end, we decided to DIY the brick wall Our reno has started this Monday. I don't have much time to pop by our place as very busy with my new job. Will update the progress photos later tonight.
  21. Hi taichipanda, Is the solid oak top from IKEA? The last time I went there they mentioned no longer stock the longer oak top, only the shorter one. Which outlet did you order from?
  22. Living room: Kitchen: MBR:
  23. Hi, Your floorplan is very similar to mine. Except your bathrooms are much bigger. All the best for your reno process
