    For PE contacts, u can try google for more information. Got a list of them and they are certified by the authorities.

    Mine was quoted $300 to hack off a L shaped wall. Now hoping my contractor willing to work with him.

    I am new here.Luckily for me I have a good contractor who is reliable,i did my house for abt 10k with hacking and kitchen cabinets etc. most impt the workmanship is very good. Cos, in fact e co. is a furniture manufacturer for more than 20yrs history whom the popular renovation firms sub-contractor their jobs to them.So i am proud tat i done mine directly thru them.you can pm me for the contact.     When we renovated our 3-room resale, it was done a serious hurry because (a) we didn't expect the extent of work that needed to be done (note: never do a viewing at night) and therefore (b) I cancelled the lease to my rented apartment 2 weeks after I was to take over the key. After a very bad experience with an "ID", my colleague recommended his carpenter, Eric Wee. He met us promptly (past 12 midnight!) because I had to urgently sort out the reno before going outstation. Most of the stuff (electrical relocation, built-in wardrobe, painting, false ceiling.. he can get the non-carpentry work coordinated for you too through his contacts) were done within the week and half that we had left before moving in, while the kitchen cabinets and solid kitchen top was completed after we moved in. We had certain constraints such as having to work with the existing tiles, and Eric did a great job in recommending laminates that breathed new life into a tired looking and dark kitchen, making it look updated. His timing can be a bit erratic too, but that's also partly due to our VERY tight timeline. Apart from that, we're definitely happy with his work. In fact, we're extending our kitchen and we'll be engaging his services again.

    My mother previously got Mr Lau from Siong Yee to do our built-in wardrobes & kitchen cabinets in my current home.

    Been 9 yrs and everything still in good shape. My mother said must use solid plywood for wardrobes.

    I bought my own house recently and also looked for Mr Lau. He charges $190pfr for casement type & $230pfr for sliding door kind.

    Hi.. I am finding a good carpenter with reasonable price. I feel that the rate per ft run what u mention is really cheap. Appreciate if u can share more detail about the material used ( laminate finish, color PVC finish, solid plywood, soft closing, shelf, drawers, etc) and workmanship.
