Also my impression to some of the rply seem to be it a standard practise here and i shouldnt be surprised over it but to accept it. Come on, it my hard earn money ok. I am shocked to hear from my friend about the amount of commission designer are getting by bringing clients to lighting showroom, curtain shop and also sanitaryware showroom. She said that some lighting shop actually are giving more than 35% of purchase price to the designer, and curtain shop is giving 10-15% while sanitaryware shop is giving 20-30% of the purchase price to designer. This is what she said is the “under the table rule”. I am not sure whether is it true but better safe than sorry, I am not going to bring along any designer or use their recommend shops for my own stuff.”
