  1. any pictures to post ? how about the price quoted ?

    Renovation is still in progress...

Suggest u use renotalk quote request...indicate your requirements with floor plan, many id firms/contractors will contact u for quote... Then u can compare the prices...

For me i shortlisted 5, then make appointment with those 5 to understand their past projects, material they used, workmanship, and etc... And finally choose Defong. Their price over workmanship is reasonable. Watch out for those quote u very cheap, they could be some hidden costs. Is your responsibility to clarify this when meeting them. My advice is contractor selection, don't purely based on price. :-)

  2. Hi everyone,

Want to check with you guys on the bomb shelter door. My one is black color which is very ugly and completely in line with the color theme of the kitchen (which is white). So I'm thinking of getting my ID to paint it to white. But I was advised by my ID that as the paint they use (Nippon) is non fire proof, so under the HDB regulation, they're not allowed to paint. Just want to get an opinion from you guys if what my ID tells me is true?

    Thanks in advance!

It make no sense... At least to me...

    Just paint la

  3. WTH?! u started this thread asking for contractors contact etc..now u reply yourself telling us u recommend Defong interior? ?!?!?!?!??

Through this thread, finally I selected defong interior. Now they are renovating my house. Just for sharing... As I also benefit from renotalk, make my renovation process easier.

  4. Hi all bros & sis here,

Will start DIY paint my 5 room HDB soon...:-)

Need your help to advise where can get the cheapest Nippon paint?

    Is the price below reasonable?

    5L Vinilex 5170 oil based sealer - $40, 20L - $110

    1L Bodelac 9000 - $18

For new door - do i need Boldelac 9000 undercoat? Or straight away apply Bodelac 9000 finish coat?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Matex is the cheaper color($48 20L)

you have have nippon 5000 series ($70 20L)slightly better,

    nippon or ici ($60 5 L)

for owner who didnt know the different, contractor will give you matex(nippon brand also) but you will regret immediate after 6 months. have you ever touch a white wall at any carpark and the white power drop? matex will get dirty very easy.

If you paint your home, you better get a good paint that last you min 5 year. Under standard painting specification, the min standard for indoor wall is using SS300.

All range of brand have white color unless you insist a offwhite colour.

Since you pay $$, insist to have a min 3-in-1 indoor color.

Where can get Nippon 5000 series 20L for $70?

  6. Tats oso the reason why I dun wish to go through agent to buy.

I deal directly with the seller's agent, lesser cov manipulation.

no need to engage buyer agent..save the money for your furniture.

set your budget for COV, offer within your budget, don't follow the sentiment...

even u like the house, don't show it on your face...this is my experience. :-)
