  1. if i am not wrong, faucet from usa are ok except hansgrohe. i know cause i had problems finding the connectors too. i am using a kraus sink too. kraus will not be found in insani as its an american company but their products are made in china though their quality is not bad.
  2. http://www.amazon.de/Fissler-Topfset-Original-Collection%C2%AE-5-tlg/dp/B000JJIOKA/ref=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&qid=1368281274&sr=8-26&keywords=fissler its from germany amazon.
  3. then i made a trip down to isetan to see what other cookware sets is in the market and saw Fissler. love the quality of the stainless steel but the price in SG is very very expensive. retail price of the classic series is close to 4 figures for a medium size pot but they are having a 20% disc.so i quickly went back and search online and settled for a set that cost the price of a pot in SG and shipped to my doorstep. this is the set i got.
  4. I was looking for cookware set recently, almost got one set from cuisinart to ship to sg from amazon.com, and this set can be used on induction hob which is what i needed. shipping is pretty reasonable too. but eventually decided against it as i realised its made in china. http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-MCP-7N-MultiClad-Stainless-Steel-Cookware/dp/B009P486BW/ref=sr_1_17?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1368252358&sr=1-17
  5. Ya, direct shipping is best as the VAT in UK is 20% and if u ship out of EU u save 20% straight away, but the problem is shipping from uk tends to be more expensive than other countries. so i find its only worthwhile to buy things from uk that is very expensive and light/small so that what you save on VAT can be used to cover for shipping and sometimes it might even be cheaper than to ship it within uk. eg would be watches
  6. Hi Kelstorm, I am using a numatic hetty at the moment, its specs are same as henry except its painted pink instead of red. it is a fantastic vacuum cleaner, suck really well and suppose to last forever. most commercial cleaners uses it and it is very common to see a very old cleaner still being use in uk all the time and it is actually make in uk. i hand carry it back from uk and i paid less than SGD200 for it. for that price i think it is worth buying but to pay for shipping at $180 and $200 for the cleaner i am not sure if its worth it anymore. for less than $380 u can get a miele basic model in sg and it comes with sg warranty and more function than a henry.
  7. the 16cm lodge skillet is already $89 in tangs and it costs usd$10 in amazon.
  8. the prices in singapore is ridiculously high. it is at least 5-6 times more expensive. i just went to Tangs and saw the same skillet i am eyeing USD$19(amazon) vs SGD159 (Tangs having sale now 20% off and 10% tangs card rebate) so it will still cost more than $110 in sg.
  9. Hi, anyone keen to buy cookware from amazon? eyeing this skillet, amazing reviews. looking to group buy and save on shipping. lodge skillet

  17. Which Miele model you using? roughly what are the prices like in SG, from entry to high end? in germany the basic ones got for 100+ euros, the better ones about 200+. I usually will go to this electronics chain http://www.saturn.de in germany. as for the airport, you can get wines, branded stuff or chocolates.
  18. maybe because pigeon stuff not so popular in USA. anyway first time i see this nose cleaner, haha.
  19. anyone using Miele's vacuum cleaner? thinking of getting one from germany, it seems a lot cheaper than in SG. so wondering if its worth it, if not i will stick to my tried and tested Henry or Hetty.
  20. Totally agree that things in SG is getting so much more expensive compared to even places like London partly due to our strong currency. Ever since i started traveling to europe and usa frequently, the only shop i go to most in sg to buy things will be ntuc and its mostly to buy food stuff. even necessities like shampoo, toothbrush etc i try to buy from europe or usa, firstly prices wise they are generally cheaper and when on sale, they are very much cheaper. it is quite common to see things in supermarket going for half price. secondly a lot of these products are produced locally or in neighbouring countries whereas those sold sg are produced in asean, which might not be lousier. i just feel the QC in EU or USA might be slightly stricter although nowadays EU also got horse meat posing as beef. anyway lets continue to share our overseas buying sprees and get the best deals whenever we can. i am expecting a baby in aug so nowadays most of my shoppings are for baby products. anyone got any lobangs to share? here's what i got from london. Philips AVENT SCF870/21 Combined Baby Food Steamer and Blender £51.99 Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Complete Starter Kit £64.99 Tommee Tippee Sangenic Nappy Disposal Starter Pack £24.99

  23. hi, let me know what you want from amazon, i will see how much i can save from group shipping vs me picking it up from usa. as for the vacuum, i think it might be too exp to ship it here as its about 10kg. anyway anyone used Irobot? is it worth getting for the price, i looking at the 780 which is the highest end model.
