  1. the irony part is i chose them because james and me were acquaintance and he had joined the company then, in fact i was his 1st customer! then somehow along the way, my project was taken over by alvin, then towards the end of the project when alvin left the company (and after many boos boos) james came back into the picture so, if you think engaging someone you know to handle your reno project is an advantage, think again chances are, you will never want to see this person again
  2. towards the end of the project, we were like just want to get these people out of our life. in fact, the payment was collected by alvin and that was the last i saw or heard from him. guess he was just as happy to see the last of me! ya, we should have hold the payment, haizzzz...... painful experience
  3. oh ya.... forgot to add, when all these were conveyed to my then designer, alvin. he only replied a sms to me: let it go lah probably got 'bigger fish' on hand, no time for 'ex-customers' liao
  4. been a long time. updates: stayed in for about 2 months. within these 2 months, contractors still coming in to touch up and rectify defects (if not made worse). the painters were literally being thrown out of my house by me! took 2 hours just to lay newspaper around the house, and mind you, it's only touch up, the painting has been done. the saga happened when the painter upset the whole pot of paint on my laminated staircase! and then dripping it all the way to the bathroom the electrician also made a big boo boo, ceiling fans not working well, got sound. called in crestar agent to service, it was only then that we got to know, the screws and light holder were not screwed in at all, just fixed in place, hence when fan started whirling, sound can be heard. in fact the crestar agent says its only a matter of time that the light bulbs will come off! can u believe it??? anyway, some of the spaces in between the tiles were not filled with cement, so tiling boss came and did it a couple of weekends ago, and yesterday the same spot that was rectified, the tiles 'popped'! how bad can it be??? my earlier designer- alvin, have not heard of him for the longest time even before handover. now taken over by another designer, james. which is worst? to have a contractor who do not rectify your defects or to have someone who keep rectifying and u keep cleaning up? lost, worst when u have young children at home. my verdict: LUCK PLAYS A BIG PART IN SEARCH FOR ID. good luck to all whole are still searching
  5. almost. the only things left are carpentry, some touch up painting and plaster lo. not going to try very hard to clean up though, since touch up still going on
  6. Today doing installation of lights, fix all doors, open net and chemical washing
  7. at least the laminates and stairs are done, so.....i really dunno. let's see whether i will be in for a surprise by end of today marble, so lucky ive never seen so many workers in my unit before
  8. I really dunno whether my ID has any issues with his contractors but seems like things are not within his control/scrutiny. The committed duration was 1 month flat with no promises on carpentry, carpentry will be delayed by 1 week or so. But looks like the rest of the stuff apart from carpentry oso half past six more pics coming up....
