    Hi Renoanil,

    apologies for delayed response. I had a total nightmare experience with my ID. Very poor quality of work and attitude. Though he said that he would finish by 5 weeks,he delayed the work by nearly a month. I got the place back at the end of nine weeks, with still work unfinished!I would advice please go for someone who is well recommended and go and meet the person.

    I have been reading the various entries in Renotalk. Have picked up a few tips and advice from here. Would like to share my experience on his forum, so that others can also benefit from my experience. Started the ID seach process in Sept. Aim was to start by third week of November and finish before school starts in 2013. Since I am renovating the place I am living in, I had to find a storage place and mover who would handle my earthly belongings safely. After some search found a mover. They were pricey, but did a very decent job of packing and moving the stuff. I hope they do it equally well when they deliver back my all my furniture. Hacking started on time. I will reserve my comments on my ID now. It has been a week since work has started. Hacking has finished, but the ID hasn't come up with the perspective drawing yet!!. I am not sure of the sequence of events. I have a tight timeline. Hope the project is finishes in time. My ID, was patient and changed the quote 4/5 times as we asked for changes, BUT!! he gave some package prices. As we asked him to remove some of the stuff from the package, he kept removing the items but his price remained more or less the same!! Wish there were some standard reference in Singapore. So that I knew how much I am paying for what. I thought his quote for shoe cabinet was very high. Anyone can share what is the quote for a simple 5 foot(length) half height custom made shoe cabinet? Thanks

    looking for lightngs for my home. went to see Focus De Lights, lighting.com.sg, and Strass.

    Focus De lighting was very pricey, lighting.coms.sg had very ;imited choice. Strass had the best collection!! Picewise also they were the best. The salesmen in all three shops were good.

    I have read such a lot of bad reviews about Strass that I am afraid to buy anything from them. Pls...

    Hi, I am new here. I am thinking of renovating my place. We have lived here for a while. Definitley need to do up the kitchen and bathroom. I also want to do up the tiling. But depends on how much the total cost comes up to. Can you give me contact of your ID? I liked the pictures you posted of your place. Have you finished doing it up recently? what all did you do? how much diit cost? Thanks
