  1. HAMPEN rug from IKEA... Will 133 x 195 cm be too big for my living room? :dunno:

    hampen-rug-high-pile__0118945_PE275048_S4.JPG

On a sidenote... looking for wallpaper and curtains contacts now! :dancingqueen:

Will drop by the newly open Om at Toh Guan this weekend to see what's available. :sport-smiley-004:

    nah! photo. hahaha!!

WAH v the 壮观 lor!!! I'm looking forward to my TB loots... I'm already very late, my house almost ready liao I haven't finish buying my furniture yet LOL

  3. Tsk. Why u like that. So blunt.

Hahah.. im hoping it will take linger to turn yellow.

Maybe I will try 12mm in kitchen and 8mm in room.

    Just being honest! :notti:

Sounds like a good idea... maybe can protect better against termites and moisture (may cause wood rot) too, due to the thickness. :deal:

  4. Orh.. i thot give u free. lol.

not bad la..i saw some 55" tv costing 2.8k or more liao.

i was thinking if 12mm laminates harder to turn yellow =X

    hahah..

Yeah... the price for both TVs very wu hua.

I think regardless of thickness... white surface will be prone to turning yellow one lah. :P

  5. not bad leh. got free soundbar. =)

    mine nothing free except talk.

    haha!

    Do you mount the soundbar?

the audiohouse salesman say usually pple dun mount. coz wire can be seen. any other reason?

Not free one la, just included inside my $2800 payment! lol

Since the soundbar will be linked to TV... mount or not, the wire should still be visible right? Unless you have a feature TV wall which can hide...

  6. Lol today morning became panda anot @-@

Think i ask abt samsung or any tv can deliver end april and the guy say cannot leh...think i will turn to LG for 42 inch

Mine can keep until April leh! I bought from Harvey Norman at Funan...

If not too mindful of the brand... mine is Sharp Aquos (still got brand la, just not Samsung!), bought 2 TVs one 52" for living and 39" for MBR. Total cost $2,800 nia, including an additional Sharp soundbar. My 52" is LED Smart with 3D.

    :dancingqueen:

  7. Morning!

    Shipped via amcon.

Coz im so lazy to even order on my own.

    Lol.

Anyway is there difference between 8mm &12mm laminates? Will the 12mm last longer? Will the lines in between be more obvious?

Thicker means better sound absorption! My living room laminates are 12mm, other rooms 8mm... cuz 12mm more ex lol

Lasting-wise, should be about the same baaaaaaa...

  8. Considering the following key items from TB!

Dining table only, not sure what to do about dining chairs yet...

Set of TV console and coffee table with tempered glass top. A little apprehensive about whether the beigey-ness will match...

The customer service is very good, replied to my queries immediately, heh. :yamseng:

Upclose look at tempered glass top. My ah lao's requirement is NO SHARP EDGES for anything... and it's ridiculously hard to look for round and oval furniture, so rounded edges = perfecto!

  10. Random post... Excited about collecting our Starcraft II : Heart of the Swarm tonight. :notti:

The road of renovation is really not easy... loads of coordination, scheduling, etc... on top of our very hectic work schedules and in the middle of our getaways (I haven't went overseas for a year already, before this!). Not to mention that the husband travels for work as well, and alot of other personal issues in between. It's really tough, and sometimes people don't understand. I can't take leave as and when I please to oversee the renovation, and it's really taxing. Can't wait for all of these to be over.

I'm really grateful to my in-laws for helping out when both of us can't take leave. They even cleaned up the whole house before our laminates installation! :jawdrop: Feel so paiseh... But I'm really blessed with fantastic ILs who don't ever complain and yet do so much for us.

  11. Most of our laminates are up!

Finishing up the rest plus the skirting by today. :yamseng:

Bought our lights and other stuff from Lite Fusion, Upper Serangoon Road. My taste is pretty boring... I got all the idiot-proof lights, haha!

  12. My husband really likes the mod/chic look so my house is becoming a "fusion".... My theme is dying!! Lol.

Anyway, we're done with the pipes and electrical stuff (except for fixing lights and changing switches). Painting's gonna happen tmr (colours already chosen). We're buying lights at Balestier tomorrow (finally).

Pretty satisfied with the laminates we chose... Will reveal design after carpentry's up.

  13. Oh dear my HTB also suggested this the other day and my eyes almost popped! Totally agree with you - a fireplace in Singapore is just so ... Lol

I reaaaaaaaally like it though! *suaku singaporean* But it doesn't fit into my decor, so... :P
