  1. I am starting reconstruction on my semi d soon. Recently my contractor found Singtel cables running underground at the side which we intend to build a side lap pool. We contacted Singtel to remove it . They send someone to have a look and now asked that we have to pay a fee for the removal. This surprises me because Singtel in a private co and they have cables running in a private property. Apparently these cables break into a few ie running to my neighbour's house behind and next door. My point is that given that these are not public lines ie sewage pipes , why should I even incur a cost. I have written to Singtel that if they don't remove it, we will remove it ourself and will bring be responsible for any losses arising from this. Does anyone here has any advice on what can I do? I contacted URA but they said it is not under their jurisdiction and advised me to discuss with Singtel. Thanks for the patience in reading this.
