Sorry, not much updates as we moved in right after my contractor finished up all the work he can complete and it was rather messy as unpacking is on-going... Only outstanding work left is Kompacplus for my kitchen top, breakfast counter and common bathroom vanity as we chose the "New York Teak" colour and it was out of stock... ETA end June.... I was holding back updates until the house completes with our decorative stuffs and kompacplus so we can have a neat final photo shoot for the whole house... but anyway, here's some photos taken by BPS the day before we moved in... All the decorative items in the photos are gifts from BPS. So nice of them... MBR toilet is using "American Walnut" colour Kompacplus, the top was mounted just in the morning before these photos were taken. My contractor came to install the basin and tap afew hrs later just in time for my move the next day. Pending the mirror and glass backing at my study table. It was installed a week later.

Hansgrohe thermostatic rainshower from taobao. Good water pressure. Should be a replica but built quality is solid, yet to test the thermostat sensitivity as my heater is not yet up. Toilet accessories all installed by my contractor personally. All bought from taobao.

Racks bought from Sim Win Liang. Recommended by a friend. They are very light weight, and easily height adjustable, price is very reasonable for the quality. Bought the biggest size that can fit in L-shape configuration. Ordered online and an appointment was made for installation. It was installed in less than 10mins by one guy.

Finally the storage heater is mounted only today... One of the first items I bought, but my contractor waited till the end then mount... This is 35litres.. its huge, it must be mounted on the original HDB ceiling to just barely clear the height of the door.. Tmr then connect the pipes...

Oh..i'll be using Joven storage heater...not yet installed, it will be partially recessed in the false ceiling and exposed...won't be covered up for replacement sake should it fail in the near future...

Forgot to upload a pano shot of the living room I took yesterday...from the corridor...

Checked with the carpenter at the end of the day if they can finish everything tomorrow. He shook his head and replied, "Either Monday or Tuesday then can complete". Schedule is really tight now and I'm not sure if Kompacplus can meet the schedule as they have yet to fix an appointment to do the measurements. After which, they require about 1 week lead time. Problem is, I'm moving in next Sunday! without the Kompacplus, the toilet sinks/taps and kitchen sinks/taps can't be installed. I would have to use water from shower only -_-

Yes, all lights are LED except the Tom Dixon Lamps and some T5 tubes later on. If I remember correctly, its 3w each.
-
yup, no cement base for kitchen as we will never wash the floors. It will just be supported by legs like those Ikea kitchen cabinets
-
We will be engaging MGL Curtain tomorrow for our blinds...MBR will use roller blinds and the rest of the house timber blinds...
-
Day 2 of carpentry work after citygas came to run the gas pipe in the morning.. Slight cockup as the gas outlet ended a little short of mark. Will be rectified tomorrow..causing a delay as one side of the kitchen carpentry cannot be installed today for kompacplus to be measured.. The other side of the kitchen cabinets are up... Wardrobe and study table up yesterday... wifey keep complaining that my study table's depth is overkill... 750mm to be exact including the cable management slot... i love big working desk =X Bedhead and side tables completed today...

This is the kitchen cabinet at the breakfast/bar counter side. We're using excel drawers for the whole house and blum hinges and blum aventos for the dish rack. close up of the drawer track. my study table coming to shape! common toilet storage mirror and vanity bedside tables used as their planning desk temporarily

We arrived at the block about 9.30am to see our carpentry delivered and stored at a corner of the void deck! It was packed very compactly and neatly. Heard from my neighbour who has shifted in that he saw it being unloaded at about 7.10am in the morning! The workers arrived at about 10.30am and soon got to work. 4 of them. With about 1/4 of the carpentry inside the flat There were still so many outside in the corridor!

ya, need the contractor to cut the groove for the sink to sit in if undermount... we decided to go for overmount because of the beauty of the granite sink... undermount might cause germs/bacteria to be trapped near the edge of the counter top...
-
the blanco granite sinks can be both undermount and overmount
-
yup, will be doing overmount for kitchen sink.
-
The parquet/timber strip flooring has been sanded down and varnished.. Current look of the corridor... Carpentry will start tomorrow!
-
The replacement MBR door and sliding door is up! Both will be painted in white later...

hi neighbour, are u in the compassvale ancilla fb group as well? when i engaged BPS, i asked to take a look at the quotation of their recently completed reno at yishun for a gauge on their contractor's price as what I wanted to do was pretty much similar. The contractor's quote was pretty attractive so their design fees are sort of offset by it. Overall, its very competitive with other IDs. I am also on a tight budget and therefore carefully tried to reduce unnecessary work here and there. I used their contractor as I did not have any lobang anyway...I figured better if they work with someone whom they have been liaising with frequently and better still if its the same contractor who did the yishun home... there is risk of running over budget lah... quote is one thing but during the course of renovation, sure have VO one...

erm...i'm not sure...I wasn't there when they painted the doors...
