    Cos my study table is against the wall facing the windows mah and i need the table for two person, me and my wife so custom made lor :D oh I custom made my book shelves also since it's at the other wall :D

    mine also against wall.. somemore the wall not flat de.. got odd corners de.

    U custom made the table and shelves exp boh?

    What about bedside table, you buy liao?

    Wahahaha... there is this story behind the "Evil"message

    last time in my hubby's work place.. all the trainers are so packed with appointments.

    They dun have a fixed lunch/dinner time.

    Than this nice lady trainer is nice to everyone, so dunno who abuse her kindness

    she usually will pre taobao her lunch or dinner in advance if she know she had a busy schedule..

    so when she is free inbetween.. she'll go to the pantry for her meals and all she had maybe is max 10-15mins

    it always happen when she open up her lunch box/bag... the content is all gone.. some ******** finished her food and left the rubbish for her to throw

    and she didnt have time to go get another food.

    Make her super pissed at it happen too frequent... until she stick a note on her lunch box and it solve all her problem.

    Note: "Whichever Bastard dare to eat my lunch, will get 0 for the whole month"

    0 means no commission for the whole month.

    Char: u really tok gong can tahan keep the vouchers for so long.

    frens gave a $80 best denki vouchers i also dunno wat to buy!

    wanted to get an Ipod for my speakers end up must pay $300 cash so no buy. :~

    sometimes its like forcing myself to buy something like that!

    Hehe, i used to just spend whenever i have my hands on them..

    but nw i tahan abit lah.. few mths liao.. cuz I have both Taka and Tangs, waiting for the nespresso or some other stuffs

    so i force myself to KIV.

    Aiyo.. dun force urself to buy. if really dun have..

    1)can sell it away at a small discount

    2) give the voucher away for other ppl's hsewarming gift.. i think for voucher, nobody will reject

    3) Use the voucher to buy affordable stuffs, top up a bit more and also give away as hse warming gifts.

    U can call the bank to check first before u proceed to seek out a contractor. also ask them what is their criteria for contractor .. eg hdb approved.

    at the same time, u can ask the bank if they have some special rate for specified ID firms, because they do have some tie-up promo

    For my case, RHB have some tie-up with my ID firm, so there is some special rate. :)

    lilithfiend, sorry if I'm hijacking this thread a little. I'm planning our renovation and would get a loan as well.

    It seems that most of the quotes that I see in this forum usually doesn't include electrical works (re-wiring, electrical points, switches etc), which on average seem to come up to between $2-2.5K.

    For those who are familiar with how reno loan works, would I be able to include this portion in the quote before submitting to the bank for loan application?

    1)do take note, when submitting for a loan, quotation is required as part of the documents.

    If you are getting various contractor, im not sure if the bank will take in that.

    2) for electrical works, id it done by your ID? For mine, its done by the same ID so we can take in under the same loan. We set a buffer of $2.5k for electrical work

    hence its was indicated as a lump sum for loan purpose until the same reno quote/agreement.

    Only when we finalise the electrical details, any surplus to be paid or refund separately at final reno stage

    So patch up can see the patched work? I thought maybe can plaster smooth it or what after patch up. Hmm...

    During the initial discussion, it was agreed to have 1 switch for all the downlights for the dining table. But didn't realise the biggest round downlight is so bright. And we have a few.. Plus the smaller ones...Will talk to ID abt this.

    My beam also boxed up.. after they patchd back the wrong hole and paint over.. cant be seen at all
