    As they say in mandarin, yi(2) ri(4) fu(1) qi(1) bai(3) ri(4) en(1)

You've really got to give your marriage a good shot....

However, like applefreak said, if after giving it your best shot you still think that happiness is not possible with your husband, then maybe you should consider getting a divorce.

But a divorce should only be a final measure - not the easy way out.

  4. Do u guys think there is no 'continuity' if i only add handles on the pull-out drawers only? which is those on the right of the kitchen cabinets... some designers said its either all handle-less or all install handles. what u think?

    810738_2dd090c21178097024_m.jpg

    actually your kitchen looks nice.

my personal suggestion would be for you to go totally handleless...

at least there's a uniformity there..

    my 2 cents worth! :jawdrop:

  5. Back in the reno swing of things!

I just signed up for the Cisco SafeHome programme and the security alarm.

At only $36 per month, it's slightly above $1 per day. It's a cheap price to pay for peace of mind.....

  6. is your statement in red 100% true? :dancingqueen: if the child is married liao then the parents won't get anything from the child? :jawdrop:

    Yeah, this is puzzling.

I thought that under Singaporean law, unless a will is drawn up before death, most goes to the government?

for assets - In order to be recognised legally as the executor/s or administrator/s of the Estate of the Deceased, you would have to apply for Probate or Letters of Administration respectively. This is subject to approval from the Public Trustee.

for CPF monies - Where the Deceased did not make a nomination, the CPF Board will transfer his CPF savings and and other monies due to or assets owned by him to the Public Trustee for distribution in accordance with the written law.

will take this opp to get the nice nice deco stuff to do the house up

after all, it's the little touches that complete the look right?

  8. Singapore Airlines (SIA) is offering $60 return fares to each of these six destinations: Amritsar, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Jakarta, Penang and Perth.

The national carrier announced this as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations.

The ticket prices are per person for a minimum of two-to-travel for the entire itinerary, not inclusive of airport taxes, fuel and insurance surcharges.

Seats are limited and on certain flights only.

Conditions, including no refunds and no changes permitted, apply, and customers are advised to check the booking conditions carefully before paying.

The tickets can only be bought online at the airline's website - singaporeair.com.sg - from May 2 to 5, 2007 or when seats are sold out (whichever is earlier).

Travel dates out of Singapore must also be between May 7 and 24, 2007.

  9. after a lengthy absence, i'm back with more pics and the journey from flat to home continues

    Hi there j3rom3,

I went through your blog and was amazed at how similar your flat's layout, surroundings AND neighbourhood looked -

Do you stay at Jurong West Ave 3???:notti:

  10. you need to decide WHERE to mount your surround speakers first.

    wall mount or floor placement.

then, if possible ask your electrician how long you need to buy.

then go simlim tower, not simlim sq, 2ndfloor and get your speaker cables cut to length.

    ah wonderful

    thanks for the advice.

am planning to go to simlim sq on sunday anyways

    cheers!!

  11. nevermind the specs, just tell electrician to run 2 pair of speaker cable from tv console location to sofa sitting location.

for surround speakers, cheap cables can liao. no need simi kimberkable.

just like that he will know is it? GREAT!

but ok, some logistical nightmare issues - i'll have to pass him the cables BEFORE he puts up the false ceiling right?

  12. Rem to get ur electrician to lay the surrond cables for you before the TV console is up hor. :yamseng:

    oh.

    yah hor.

    heh

luckily got you looking out for me - if not, sure die sia.

    will remind them.

one last thing - what's surround cables? :D

  13. Oh no! My ID told me that he just done a false ceiling for me...**** room...he say he will absorb the cost...but asking if i am ok with it?? What do u guys think..? I will be visiting my place tonite..to see if it is ok? he say false ceiling will do nice ....dunno true or not?

isn't it nice if he absorbs the cost?

I guess you'll see it tonight - PICS PLEASE. heh

  14. Ehh me not bro lah.... :P

Checked out the specs liao...not bad....it's matt silver so not stainless steel....if stainless steel then i would be :good: haha......but it looks sleek.....will shortlist this for my fridge selection...

By the way, the 3 little icons or buttons at the top freezer is what??

    erm

    sorry sis

    my bad

ok, let me try to think.....

i know the bottom button is the door alarm. If you don't close the fridge door properly, within 2 mins or something, the door alarm will ring. Helps you to save money i think.

then there's quick freeze, the second button. quite understooded.

the top button is for temp control i think...

Yo Bro, jus came back from battle field (exam) har!

Can see u guy had enjoyed the shopping leh. :bangwall: Good Pionner Sys u got. :)

    heh

    no

    that battle starts next friday.

but i just came back from a different battlefield - the flat at JW.

They're doing the aircon trunking and the toilet overlaying of tiles today so I had to be there.

Sand, concrete and tiles all over the place. *headache*

    Is the system really good?

We tested it out and it sounded good to us, but I didn't know if it was because the system was good or because the salesman kept upping the bass.... but I can't wait to pop in the jacky cheung concert DVD and blast.... *melt*

    oooo :)

there is quite cheap.. quite a good deal u got.. cant wait to see ur final house effect :)

    thank yew thank yew

    :)

will certainly be inviting you for the housewarming

  15. My contractor and I had come to a conclusion yesterday night after a heated discussion. I have decided to continue the renovation with the current company to avoid the complication of signing of termination and handling over letters. So there is a twist to my renovation, my cement floor will be gone and will be replaced by tiles. Very worried that my completed walls and fixtures will be damaged but he have verbally ensured me that he will do all the necessary precaution before the hacking and tiling work start. Now I have to reshuffle my fundings between home renovation and wedding to pay off for the tiled floor.

As mentioned in one of my blog entries about my sixth sense giving me some pre-warning of my wrongly fixed bathroom, my sixth sense seem to have worked again recently. On Tuesday night, I had a feeling that my floor is rejecting the cement floor and should I abandon the plan of cement floor and go for the conventional tiled flooring. Then on wednesday morning when I met my contractor, I was told that he has completed an acid wash to the flooring and caused the whole floor to crack even deeper and almost beyond repair. I am really upset to know that and after a discussion with my wife, we decided to abandon the cement floor and go for floor tiles. Thanks god that my contractor has admitted his fault and never ask me to pay a single cent for the flooring. Do not know if the things that are happening are just coincidences or what...kind of spooky. My home is like alive and able to communicate with me.

    woah.

thankfully he's absorbing the cost as it's his fault....

hopefully everything will turn out fine!

PS Your 6th sense got any 4D numbers? ;p
