  1. Hi all, I live in a private apartment with a rooftop terrace. I'm planning to install a retractable roof awning in order create a sheltered area on the roof terrace to hang and dry my laundry. Some questions that would like to seek anyone's advice on: 1) What kind of awning materials should I use, e.g. canvas vs PVC? Which last longer in the sun and stains less in the rain? 2) Is there anything I should look out for the frame, brackets and arms itself, e.g. must be anodized aluminum or powdercoated to a certain thickness? Can take certain windspeeds? 3) Any good contractors to recommend based on your experience? What's the typical cost for a 4m wide and 2m deep area? Many thanx!!
  2. Could I also ask what I should look out for when buying, and after buying a water feature? Is it true that I need 2 electrical sockets near the water feature - one for the lights, one for the pump?

  6. Hi all, I'm planning to have a wide (2m) and tall (>1.5m) stone water feature on my penthouse rooftop terrace. Potentially to use it as a fish pond. Any recommendations on where I can go to look for shops selling/building them? Anywhere else besides the ones along Thomson road? Are there any in Lim Chu Kang? Thanx!
