  1. Hi Potatoes, the workmanship is not jaw-dropping amazing but at that price point, i find that it is good enough. Where the edges and lines are meant to be straight, it is straight. The doors, drawers are level and can close properly. So I am very satisfied with the workmanship I remembered I was around when the carpenters came. A father and son team, very friendly and nice. I told them to take their time becos I wanted them to do a good job. Hehe. I even bought them lunch and drinks. I prayed really hard that everything will turn out good. Thank God it turned out well! I would like to show you the latest pictures of my kitchen but as I am staying in now, the whole house looks as though a bomb went off inside. Hahaha. Very messy, pai seh to show.
  2. PM-ed you our kitchen is pretty small as compared to yours.. probably that why the lower cost
  3. PM-ed you yea, we went thru a few before finding the right one that does country kitchen
  4. in total we spent about 10K. that's because about 30% of the cost goes to quartz tabletop. If you select other tabletop (solid surface, granite, etc) the cost may be lower. the cabinet cost really varies depending on the length of your top/bottom cabinet as well as how big you wan your tall unit to be. It will be good to have a good idea on what cabinet (height and length) u want when getting quotes from contractor so that you can have an accurate comparison.
  5. Let me know when you start your blog! I wanna see too All the best!
  6. Hi Gremmy, you have a sharp eye! The antique tap I brought back from China. I dunno where is it sold in sg. I heard some people bring in from taobao as well. But our plumber did a good job installing it. No issues at all
  7. Hi Kelhy, thanks for your comments. Will try to post some pics on living room. Actually living room no reno done at all, just wood furniture. Hehe.

  9. i've been using the stove for a month. i don't feel it's hard to maintain. my experience is that although it has 5 stoves, i'm using 3 only (used depending on my pot size) the most i on is 2 stoves a one time, but you have to make sure the pots/wok doesn't "crash/hit" each other.. the oven will take a slightly longer time to pre-heat becos of the large capacity. but the baking/roasting temp is very even thru-out the oven. downside is that it uses more energy cos of the size. but you can put ribs, potato, corn, chicken all in the oven at the same time without worries.
  10. ahemmm..... i test it out.. when i knock it (not smash.. hahha) it vibrate about 4 movements before coming to a stop. for me i wouldn't categorise it as badly/violent shaking. hope this helps
  11. the free standing stove/oven is from la germania. other brands like ariston, technogas, de dietrich & smeg also carry type. however, the price difference between brands can vary alot and becos it is not so popular in singapore, normally, each brand only carry a limited selection.
  12. yup, kitchen doors are all solid doors. they are either ash/oat.. can't remember. when choosing, we are more focus on the natural color of the wood as well as the natural grain of the wood. you can take the following youtube instructions as a rough guide on how to faux painting -> i got my glaze from Artfriend. They have branch at bras basah. all the best to your diy project.. it's fun and rewarding.. however, be warned of the tiring process
  13. Hi, yes, solid wood for all the kitchen cabinet.
