  1. Acid wash was done and everything was restored to move in condition. Check thoroughly and realise there is still some minor rectification needed like paint touch up on certain areas, some electrical cable consealing etc.. Will be arranging to finish by next Tuesday.

Meanwhile , more loots from taobao arrived to keep us busy assembling in the empty house :notti:

the completed tv feature wall with dauphine grey background. Haha the wires are all over, just managed to organise them neatly just now.

That's all for now, will be busy with the moving in progress, so will update again once everything is settle down.

Wow! The TV feature wall is really awesome! It really look fantastic, especially with all the wires hidden! Now I gotta slap myself for removing the "TV Feature Wall & Console" items from the renovation list. Hahaha!

Have you moved into your new house? :P

  2. Beng, ryan got do curtains also ooo...?

yes and solar film too but only for his customers, he will bring the entire stack of samples with him, strong man he is

can see his work here https://www.facebook.com/radianze?fref=ts

Yeah, like what edd has mentioned, he does curtains and also solar film. I have nearly opted for solar films in my service yard but eventually stick back to my original plan of installing the wooden blinds.

  3. beng beng, can u give me ryan's contact too (lazy go dig ur earlier posts)? i may wan do one more set of curtains for my mom's rm.. but scared one set only he bo hew..

Hahaha, I don't think he will reject business.

    Check your inbox bro! :notti:

  4. haha. I think you should LOL , I think he will also appreciate it la you recommend customers for him.

that's great ! thanks beng, will give him a call to discuss about the curtain and blinds :D

Haha! I'm just kidding! I'm just doing a good deed to introduce good services to others so that everyone can benefit from his services. Sharing is caring. Hahahaha!

Cool! Faster call him and get your curtains/blinds fixed! I wanna see pictures! LOL! :D

  5. Ok bros, i jus share here ba.

Mine is from www.sgshelving.com. You can look for Vincent at Tel: 62441512 or Hp: 98262379. Very nice and efficient guy. Called him from my office in the late morning & he was already at my hse in the afternoon to do site measurement before emailing me the proposal & quote on the very same day. On the day of installation, he came personally with a worker & got the job done in 30 mins. Even passed me a tub of desiccant/silica gel said good for the storeroom (not expensive stuff but very nice gesture right?) :good:

I went for LS (HDF panels) series, and the quote is below. Some of u all may find it on the high side though..

    Main unit: 1050L x 450D x 1830H x 4 panels x 1 unit ($150)

    Extension: 1200L x 300D x 1830H x 4 panels x 1 unit ($130)

    Delivery/installation ($20)

    Add height to 2030H for both units @ $10 per unit ($10 x 2 = $20)

    Total: $320

I didn't take any pic of the racks in my storeroom, but it looks very much like this:

    LS-HDFPanels_zpsa1c5d399.jpg

Wow! It looks good but SGD 320.00 is a little costly to me. I've burnt too many holes in my pants, got to try to reduce cost now, otherwise I will eat grass for my overseas trip in October. Hahaha..

I will K.I.V. this first and compare it with the rack supplier my friend is going to introduce to me. If both are outta my budget, guess I will D.I.Y. the rack myself. Hahaha! :D

Anyway sincere appreciation for the details! It's really very very helpful. Thanks! :good:

  6. ur mom so cute lar~~same with my mom...lolx...once she plant papaya in our Penang house..i hv been eating papay for almost 6 months....

Hahaha.. There was a couple of times I complimented my mom on certain dishes and find myself eating the same dish every couple of days. She will say "Aiyo, you say nice what, so I cook often for you to eat loh".

That's the reason why I don't like to praise her cooking nowadays, even though some of the dishes are fantastic. HAHAHAHA!

  7. haha, reading your thread always so interesting.. nice blind there look great! :good:

I also intend to get blind from Ryan , does he do day and night curtain too? or just purely blinds?

Because maybe will be intending to do curtains for the living room but blinds for other 3 rooms

Yeah! He also do installation for curtains and the prices are equally reasonable. I have a newly-wed friend who's staying near me. She had gotten Ryan to install day/night curtains for her living room & master bedroom and she mentions that the materials for the curtains are excellent. Guess you should give Ryan a call. Don't worry, he's a really really nice chap. If you don't believe me, you can ask Edd who also engaged him for blinds. :)

Think I should start charging Ryan for advertising fee le. Say too many good words about him. WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  8. Haha I gave u my virgin post...lol

I am at damai, where are you huh? I didn't really read every single post here.

Anyway most of the ladies in punggol are newly wed, no need to fight la hahaha

I'm so honoured that you presented your virgin post to my T-blog! Wahaha!

I'm at Punggol Walk, very very near to Punggol Central, so no LRT station for me. :P

Yaaaaaaa, guess you have a point there. :~

  9. aiya not fried food lar...i use air fryer to bake cup cakes, bake salmon, bake sting ray, bake prawns....i hvnt try to make "huat kueh"...so i can bake one when move into new house...to symbolised "huat"...lolx...must try at current place first...if not fail then paiseh...lolx...

WAH! That's too much details. My sister is a stalker of this T-blog, once she share this info with my mom, I will be eating baked salmon, stingray, prawns etc for the next few weeks. Hahaha!

  10. beng.... you just need to connect the bolts la.... lol but true... if you willing to pay a bit and save some nagging...

    well spent!

Haha! I will go check out the price of an unfixed rack and compare it with the average price quoted by rack specialists. If it's wayyyyyyy cheaper, I will buy those spare parts and gather my whole family to fix it together. In that way, if it's poorly installed, we can point fingers at one another. WAHAHAHAHAHA!

  11. beng beng, which company u buying ur storage rack frm, size, & damage?

    actually guys.. you could DIY....

    i intend to DIy too...

can lah.. but i lazy lor.. :P

I already had a hard time dismantling my old one (which my late father did up many many years ago) so i bou mine.. :)

@jus4fun - I have no idea who should I engage for rack, still sourcing right now. Hopefully it won't be too expensive, otherwise my wallet will start crying its guts out. Hahaha! :D

@drunkenchivas - Actually I don't mind doing D.I.Y. for store-racks but if I did a bad job, my parents are going to start nagging at me for the poor workmanship. You see, if it's done well, they won't give compliments. But it it's badly done, complaints will be unavoidable, so I would rather pay a small sum of money to engage professionals to perform the task. LOL!

  12. im using phillip air fryer too.....can be quite tempted to eat "fried" food...feeling less guilty

    i can share recipe...i bake oso..lolx...

Wow! Another Philip Air Fryer fan! :thumbs up:

Hmmm.. Please don't share any recipe now  , I need to shed another few kilograms before I can start chewing on fried food. Cannot let my mom know that there's someone on RT willing to share the recipe with her, otherwise I will break Guinness World Record for the longest number of consecutive days for eating air-fried food. Hahahaha!

  13. Hi Beng,

Reading your post brighten a rainy day

So happy for you that your "Diamond" is back in action...

 Your post about the kitchen & service yard really send chill down my spine ah...

Please pm me the contact for the store rack & Ryan's one too...

I think I need another set of blinds for my kitchen to shield off sun for washer and for privacy... keke

    Thanks in advance

Hooooray! Glad that my posts brighten your rainy day up! :jammin:

Yeah, I'm extremely happy that my 'diamond' is back in the passageway and I really love switching it on every now and then just to admire it. Hahahaha..

Hmmm.. I don't have any contact for store rack yet, got to get it from my friend who have recently had her store rack done up. Once I have the contact, I will pm you. :)

As for Ryan's contact, check your inbox! :notti:

  14. hehehe, fragile beng nao becomes fatty beng due to air fryer???

wah, so that is the blinds he recommended me at the first place, looks good, can pm me the price?

i tink from now on, if i need blinds just call ryan can liao la, he is indeed friendly

Yeah! No more fragile beng after the replacement chandelier has returned to its rightful position, so it's Fatty Beng now. Hahaha!

Hmmm.. As for the price, I think it's a little inconvenient to share because he did offer me a good discount. But seriously don't worry about it, his prices are always reasonable and I'm really grateful to be dealing with such a friendly chap for my blinds. :P

  15. Hi Bengogologist,

I'm a bachelor who bought a flat in punggol with my mum too! haha

Congrats to getting your home and making it beautiful :)

    Hello cloudsabove!

Thanks for dedicating your first post on Renotalk to my T-blog! :good:

    Hi-five fellow bachelor! :drunk:

Which part of Punggol are you staying? Hope it's not near me, otherwise there will be two bachelors fighting over Punggol girls in the same vicinity. Wahahaha! I'm just kidding! Don't take it for real! Hahaha!:lol::lol:

  16. Wat!! No ghost story!? Oh wat a letdown! - -'''

Kidding lah! Am so glad & relieved tt it wasn't anything super-natural

Think u can be a very gd blogger or story writer, sure very high readership de! :good:

Nice wooden blinds u hv there! Hope ur mom won't hv a hard time cleaning the grim on the slats (especially if she's a heavy cook).. oh ya, u got air-fryer liao.. no more 油烟... kekekeke! :)

Hahaha! Thanks a lot! I'm just a normal renotalker, not as good as what you say. Don't continue to praise me, I will shy.

    WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Yeah, my mom love the timber blinds and doubt she will have a hard time cleaning the slats since the cooking area is still a couple of meters away from the service yard windows. Oh ya! Bingo! She has been using the air-fryer too, so no more 油烟 to worry about for the blind slats. The only worrying issue is that I might expand horizontally faster than I imagine. Wahahahaha!:lol::lol:

  17. no regrets lar Beng~~my house oso dun hv customade study table & TV console..heehee

Haha! But don't you agree Easter's TV feature wall and console are very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, not to mention the half height shoe cabinet (with settee somemore :jawdrop: ) and custom-made study table? I would love to have these in my house if I'm not a little budget constraint by the renovation cost. :~

Can't wait to see more updates from Easter!

  18. poisonous lei your blinds........

cant wait to see the outcome...

i seriously thought it was Ghost busters lo....

Relax relax. No horror stories are allowed on the "Let's Go Punggol" thread, so it's safe here. Hahahaha!
