  1. A little bit of poison for people who want to get rid of the cumbersome knife block and save some counter space. And the Simple Human + Progressive International stuff I bought in action. Pardon the slight mess in my photos.
  2. Here it is! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032IO2VK/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here it is! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007VERRLS/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i04?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. Is there a smaller version of this? The only thing about this model is the height. Super tall so I had to make sure my cabinetry above it was adjusted to accomodate it. You might want to be careful of that. Heh, I copied your idea of buying the sink. Just bought a larger one although I super wish my kitchen could have taken the 36 inch version. As for the faucet, I originally wanted Grohe but they don't have a version that has a dual function, ie use the pre rinse spray and pot filler at the same time. So in a way, no choice and went back to Kraus even though I was warned on Renotalk that it might not fit. I think someone else bought a simpler version but what the heck, you only live once so I just bought it and crossed fingers and toes that it could fit. It did so now every time I see my the entire ensemble, I give myself a pat on the back. Haha. Btw, have a go with the grid. I also did not see the point behind it, thinking it will be gross with all the residue under. But my helper left it in so we have been using it. It is very cool cos everything gets drained off beneath it without touching stuff you have already soaped etc. Clever! The spice drawer rocks and I bought another bakeware organiser as well. Will post when I have sorted out the kitchen properly. Now waiting for some golf balls to arrive from Amazon!
  4. For people who suffer from OCD like me or who are sick of digging around for spices, I got this off Amazon a few months back. Super useful.
  5. Thanks but it was Kim's idea I copied actually. Actually I think the regular shipping took me only 5 days to receive the goods. If you can get the plumber to hold off, you may be able to get the faucet in time. I went to nose around SSC, HK and some other smaller shops. Maybe I did not dig hard and deep enough but IMO, the quality and look of the Kraus sink (plus all the extras it comes with) and faucet just can't be replicated at a similar price point in Singapore. Before I started using the sink, I did not see the point of the grid they provide but it really rocks now that we have started using it. Everything sits nicely on top of the grid so all the soap residue just goes under the grid and gets washed away.
  6. Hi there So far so good but it has only been one week so yes, it is probably too early to tell. My contractor and the plumber who came said the quality of the faucet was really good though. I would take their word for it seeing as they would have more experience. I cannot say how much I love love love the Kraus sink and faucet. And it has been nothing but compliments all round even from people who were shocked I ordered a sink off Amazon when I first did it.
  7. Just wanted to update that my contractor managed to fit the kitchen faucet without any fuss. My kitchen make over is almost done. Thank God. Here is a pic. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  8. I don't remember what is the name of the event but it was a kitchen event, with multi brands taking part. Think it was sometime in Oct or Nov last year and it was advertised in the ST. I actually didn't take any notice of it until a friend told me about it. They had all the other colours too but at $599 and the heavier duty one at $699 (think that retails for $999 or $1099 at Tangs). It only came with a 6 month warranty even though it was a brand new set. I decided to jump at the $499 since I wasn't using it as a display on my kitchen counter and didn't need to match anything at all. I went to the recent Meyer warehouse sale and the prices weren't as good as that Expo event.
  9. The KSM 150 but I don't know the which blue it is. Now buying the attachments off Amazon. Much cheaper than Meyer. As usual...
  10. hey. for people who have the vornado fans, do u guys buy the transformers from sls? do u happen to know if it works for electronic items from Japan? tia!
  11. I actually got mine for sgd499 during an expo sale. It is in a blue that I thought was going to be discontinued but I still see it at Tangs. Look out for the expo sale that Meyer marketing takes part in. I thought my set was a really good deal.
  12. Yes, that's what I was thinking as well. But it's a lot more convenient to have the top open at times during food prep. With the foot lever version, it's gotta be jammed open I think. Heh, got some time to shop more before I decide.
  13. Hello! Haven't started using it yet but feels sturdy, not flimsy as per what one of the reviews said. It is not very large, will do for the sink I hope! If SG used 110V or if Amazon started selling stuff in our voltage, there will be so many things to buy! Cheaper Kitchenaids for one! Then maybe slowly we can start shipping in Wolf ranges and Subzero fridges for a fraction of the price Kitchen Culture sells them at. Dreams are free.... Now looking at buying a big trash can for my kitchen. A cheaper one for my helper to abuse: http://www.amazon.com/simplehuman-40-Liter-Slim-Plastic-White/dp/B004L9L3IO/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER or a much more expensive one that doesn't have a foot pedal and which can be left open. http://www.amazon.com/simplehuman-Fingerprint-Proof-Brushed-Stainless-Gallons/dp/B0081HFGEY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3AMC54G874XC5&coliid=I1T3R7V0GREBA5 Decisions decisions... I love Amazon. Told the DHL uncle today that nothing sets my heart racing like a DHL man in his truck heading for my house.
  14. Not sure how to load images but I hope this works. Amazon delivered via DHL today. Ordered on June 6 and delivered June 11. Impressive for free shipping! Our local retailers should be very afraid... Think there was some discussion on ice cream scoops. I got the OXO one that can 'push' the ice cream out. Already have a Ben and Jerry's one without the 'push out' function and find it so tough to use. Gotta 'dig' out the ice cream if I want a perfectly round scoop.... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000CCY1C/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i04?ie=UTF8&psc=1Also bought a Kraus kitchen faucet to accompany my sink a few weeks back. Contractor seems confident there won't be a problem with installation. Fingers crossed! Work on my kitchen remodel starts next week finally....
  15. Yes, I wrote to Kraus USA asking if they had faucets with different specs and got a very short and sweet reply saying "We don't ship to Singapore'. Technically that was not my question but I guess they can't really be bothered with a more detailed answer for customers from a market they don't yet cover. Surprising IMO since one would think any business will be quite enthusiastic about building their potential market share. Was initially worried about the Kraus faucet being made in China but aiya, everything is made there these days. Probably will take the risk and buy it in the hope it can be installed, esp since there have been a handful on Renotalk that have done it. My contractor is someone I have been working with regularly for ten years so if I nag him, he will probably get moving. The other alternative will be to hound my regular plumber. But I do need to have the faucet for a physical exam before they know what to look for. "When there's a will, there's a way" Heh. Blind optimism. Will update if I am successful. Cheers!
  16. Hi Tks for replies. Yes, I did look at insani24 but they don't carry the Kraus, only the Grohe K7. Went to Interior Affairs to look at the Grohe K7 but it only has the spray and doesn't come with a pot filler like the Kraus does. Basically with the Kraus, we can use the faucet 2 ways. Also looked at TB and Lightinthebox but unsure of the quality so am half hearted about buying from there. Prices are great though! Will check out in greater detail before I purchase the USA Kraus faucet. Think there are some others who have purchased and installed but I have lost the thread. My Kraus apron front sink arrived today. Took all over 4 days from USA! Looks great and the packinging is fantastic! Great idea Kim76! Thanks again.
  17. Hi there Been following this topic but only halfway through reading. Was inspired to buy a Kraus apron front kitchen sink via this forum. Ordered it on Monday and looks like it is already in SG today. Looking forward to receiving it although I have not confirmed the start date of my kitchen remodel. I need a faucet for the sink and will like to have a professional kitchen one with pull down spray. Am very tempted to purchase a Kraus or if DH gets over the price, a Grohe K7. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032IO2VK/ref=s9_wishf_gw_d3_g60_t?ie=UTF8&colid=3AMC54G874XC5&coliid=I155FIASH3RIBF&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=right-3&pf_rd_r=0TAVDZY4BXC2BP91B6GM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1367759382&pf_rd_i=507846 http://www.amazon.com/Grohe-32951DC0-Semi-Pro-Kitchen-SuperSteel/dp/B004LGMC2S/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1368073636&sr=1-1&keywords=grohe+k7 My contractor advised me against buying the faucet from overseas and to go to a local retailer. Have been to HK and SSC but their stuff looks quite crappy and the price is not attractive at all. Have not visited Grohe retailers but I understand the prices leave much to be desired so am looking to purchasing online. Has anyone purchased a Kraus faucet before? Any problems with fittings? Will appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
