    Yeah! He also do installation for curtains and the prices are equally reasonable. I have a newly-wed friend who's staying near me. She had gotten Ryan to install day/night curtains for her living room & master bedroom and she mentions that the materials for the curtains are excellent. Guess you should give Ryan a call. Don't worry, he's a really really nice chap. If you don't believe me, you can ask Edd who also engaged him for blinds. :)

    Think I should start charging Ryan for advertising fee le. Say too many good words about him. WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :lol:

    haha. I think you should LOL , I think he will also appreciate it la you recommend customers for him.

    Haha! But don't you agree Easter's TV feature wall and console are very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, not to mention the half height shoe cabinet (with settee somemore :jawdrop: ) and custom-made study table? I would love to have these in my house if I'm not a little budget constraint by the renovation cost. :~

    Can't wait to see more updates from Easter! :lol:

    thank you beng, it took us quite some time before we take the plunge to do it too haha, ya lo budget is everyone concern when comes to renovation. We keep reviewing our costs so not to burst our pocket because still have to spend on furnishing too. Thankfully we got quite a good and reasonable rate. Will update once there are more changes :)

    its reli nice....i keep telling myself canot spend oredi... :( im also on budget sia...but i got customade shoe cabinet...hehehehe...i would love to hv a feature wall and TV console...but bo lui~~~

    ya, honeykitty. I saw your 3D drawing, I think your turn out effect is gonna be good too, looking forward to see more updates from you :D

    nice light :D ya, went around shops to find, don't have much design we like if have the price is quite ridiculous, haha

    taobao really let you find treasures :D

    I also intend to get blind from Ryan , does he do day and night curtain too? or just purely blinds?

    Because maybe will be intending to do curtains for the living room but blinds for other 3 rooms

    An exciting day for us as carpentry work is up today. Went down to look at the workmanship as this is the area we spend bulk of our $$ in the reno so DIE DIE must double check haha. When we went in, the carpenter was taking picture of our feature wall, he was quite pleased with the turn out effect and so do us. Love the mosaic feel black laminate for the TV feature wall and shoe cabinet, and the TV console shape. Because we can't really visualise from the 3D drawing initially. But the after effect is very good. Now the pictures will do the talking :)

    The black lines on the feature wall are actually black tinted mirror stripes.

    Our half height shoe cabinet with settee, we will be getting a mat to place below to place our common wear shoes / slippers :)

    Master bedroom wardrobe design with our customised accessories installed :D We chose black and white leather type laminate for the exterior colours and luckily it turns out quite up to our expectation

    With carpentry done up, house reno is considered at least 70 percent done finally, left light installation, plumbling works and painting :jammin:

    Hows the quality of the lights u bought? The tracks if my ttsck lights r a little flimsy. Need to get new ones but the hamburger lights are of quite good quality. Pendant lights not yet up but crossing my fingers

    N yes peeka service is really good. They were able to deliver at my requested time. The staff were also very responsive in the online comments box too.

    Quality wise, condition is quite good. well packaged and in good condition, but I haven't installed it yet so can comment only after I switch it on and see the brightness. Only got one issue with my crystal hanging light, one of the light metal piece was broken maybe to transportation. But Peeka was very nice, they liased with the seller and send me a new one without charging me extra and shipping, so a thumbs up to their service :)

    Wow! That's a long list of items! And what surprised me the most is that all the prices are very reasonable! Guess you are a better Taobao bargain-hunter than me! Hahaha! :lol:

    Btw, I love the carpet! :wub: It looks like it's worth every single cent of the 28 bucks you are paying. :good:

    haha, ya going to taobao is to find good bargain mah :P I think we learn from every members here, looking to find good deals :D ya quite looking forward to see the carpet too :)

    TB is just too addictive, I still have a batch on items arriving on the 20th. I'm using peeka by the way thanks to Bengologist's recommendation, no hassle and good service :)

    Some minor updates on ceiling works :

    A very neat job of box up to conceal the air con piping that is running through the common corrider, almost didn't realise it till I see closely.

    My L shape false ceiling is up, now is awaiting the downlight and covelight installation :) My main carpentry work will be next Tuesday, together will be fixing up the lights.

    nice!!! I think I got the same ice cube lights as urs, but is normal fitting not down lights fitting :D

    How're your taobao lights?

    Hi juxstapose, the lightings are not up yet. Looking at exterior side all is looking good, but can only comment only all is been fix up. Will update again on Tuesday when everything is up :)

    Air con piping was completed, I choose to do it at the outside of the room instead of behind the carpentry work in the 2 rooms. So my ID suggested that I can hide it with a boxup later.

    Been busy these few days. Currently tiling has been completed, second day of painting.

    Will be uploading pictures once i have time.

    Taobao shipment has arrived, realized the sink i ordered too big ****!. The rest looks good but havent install. Will comment once installed.

    Omg, then how for the sink? Maybe just do some measurement adjustment not possible ?

    Wah, congrats man on your new member to your family :) I see, ya, can understand since we also rushing to move in. Meanwhile maybe can start to pack your stuffs so when Reno ready can chop chop curry pok move in liao haha.

    ya, bound to have some gap. Because 3D drawing normally tend to stretch further, giving us the illusion that we got more space. Especially the kitchen area haha

    I saw on our sengkang rivervale FB group, one of our neighbour have this shoe cabinet cum divider, quite nice and seem that there are still quite some space behind, so is depending on individual.

    haha, ok la.. as long on track can liao :) but now really very gan chiong, because lunar 7th month is on 7th Aug 2013. According to schedule, my handover should be 20th July. So have to pack and move in before the 7th month, how about you? you will be moving before the 7th month or in September period ?

    Minor updates, didn't really have the time to dropped by our new place due to hectic work schedule. Only managed to went up today and saw that the electrical work and gas piping is done, now so looking forward to our L-shape false ceiling design in the living room, hopefully it will turns out good :)

    My study room wiring work, I realise there is consealed wiring done up, and my ID is so nice to help me install a switch for my study table lights.

    I think that's all for now, next progress should be air con piping followed by false ceiling installation.

    wana to check, do you guys get rain shower head sys from Taobao??? i have some Q to ask regarding the rain shower head. Notice that the shower hose provide by HDB is round 1. if let sa i were to re-use the existing shower hose to install the rain shower head, i can only get round type right?? coz i source around, square rain shower head is come with square shower hose..round rain shower head is round shower hose...issit like this??

    hi honeykitty, sorry I'm not sure on this part, have no experience as I did not change my rain shower, maybe can check with your ID before you buy?

    ouch! beng, was about to say that your chandelier is beautiful then saw your post on the incident, luckily no one is injured.

    Ya, must ask them ensure that the replacement set is secure properly, so dangerous!

    luckily your ID and electrician take responsibility for it, if not really very heart pain.
