Maybe you can try to talk to them abt the re-wire, for mine they already start to do the re-wiring 3 week before my selection date. They remove the old wire leaving the ceiling with hole so they have to replaster for me. Grilles are also remove so they plaster back the portion where the old grilles are. they only plaster for me the damage part not all.

actually for the plastering part i did not negotiate with them, as my is a old unit for more than 20 year so they rerun the wire for me but they did not cover the wire up after all the hacking. So my officer-in-charge tell me that they will plaster and repaint back for me when i start to look at the wall.

met up with the HDB branch officer to view my unit today. They rerun the wire for us and remove kitchen cabinet and the window grilles already. was told that they will plaster the wall and repaint for me. and i bargain with him for new toilet bowl and basin, plaster the window and clean up.

Thanks tweetie. but now i'm a bit worry...yesterday night i went down again to look at the unit and thought of taking a look at the meter and saw only 76 units. it the oldest unit but the meter only have 76 unit...that mean no nobody live in there before?? and the windows of the unit is open, i wonder why...went there twice before selection but the window are all close.and the aluminium window come with no grilles

i taken a 5 room in Yishun, the unit i took is the oldest among all the choice but i took it cause it near to my parent.
