Seems like no one try using 3S quartz in their home. Unknown brand in this market

Yes, this is a new custom made bedroom wardrobe. Yet to place anything on it and spot this when I was cleaning the surface and bottom of the shelf I Understand the contractor can come and repair it by drilling more holes and insert more metal support. However, will this solve the problem as it seems like the plywood wall is not strong enough to support the shelf itself. The metal support is not damaged, it is the wooden hole that collapsed causing the metal support to tilt like the picture shown. Let alone when I dump all my boxes or clothes and other heavy items. What should be needed to rectify this?

Hi Everyone Anyone encounter this before? The metal support under the shelf started to bend down. What is the cause? I have not place anything on it yet and it is already like this. This is just one of the metal support that is bent, others around are also similar just difference in the degree of bending. Need advice.

Does all renovation company give their client a list of additional items provided on the day of handover of the project and demand payment? I got a shock at the list as most are all verbally agreed to be given FOC during or after signing of the agreement but not stated in the contract. No cost or detail of the cost was even mentioned or informed to us during the whole renovation and now it is all consolidated and given to us to ask for payment. Is this a normal trick in this industry?

Reno ID rectify our cabinets door by changeing most of the hinges to DTC excel. Now 90% are slow closing now. They only change 2 drawers in the kitchen to the above. Much better but need to push harder to fully close with soft closing effect.

They used all the same runner for all drawers (BIG OR SMALL) It simply stop halfway when you try to give it a push regardless small or big drawers.

The reno fixed up my opennet termination point. However it looks like a shabby work. Wires still hanging there. Wonder how they install the point as the whole thing was missing when I check my storeroom.

The whole issue started when the ID gave me a discount before I sign and after few weeks later, his boss found out that he underquote. In order to work within the budget he instructed the worker to use the most cost-effective materials which turn out to be like this.

Thanks Gettome Guess now my biggest challenge will be the drawers as they will stopped halfway when I try to close them with 1 push. Must insist my reno ID to rectify this if not changing it will be a big headache as the runners will be expensive even for a DTC. I don't know what brand they are using but it is black in color and the worker tell me it stopped halfway is due to too many dirt and dust blocking the runner. So after cleaning it, it should work fine. Wonder if this is also BS...???

Is there any restriction or requirement for PD Door? My reno ID agreed to change the wrongly installed bifold doors to my required PD Door but they tell us that they can only change 2 out of 3 bifold toilet doors to PD door due to 1 of the door Size cannot change to PD door. Sounds like a BS to me... Need advice. Thanks.

Hi Gettome How much is a standard 3-way adjustment hinges cost? Made in China price and those mid range price? Would like to compare the price to understand better in case if the hinges break down in future I can change to a better one to last longer. Thanks.

My Reno ID somehow removed my opennet fibre Broadband box from the existing flat. Can reno contractor fix them back by buying the cable and box themselves to install in my flat or I have to get opennet to come install it?

Thanks for all the advice on the hinges. Now I have another new problem, I had requested for TV Console to be rounded at the 4 edges as I have a little kid at home. When the TV console is done and put up, they tell me the laminate cannot be bend so the rounded edges does not have any laminate and they had painted it to try to blend with the laminate but it is totally different in color & looks awful. Quite a shocking sight when we saw it as we thought it is still uncompleted work until we ask them. If we don't ask them, they won't even tell us about the laminate problem. Is it true that laminate cannot be bend so any carpentry work will not have a laminate on the rounded area??? Any Solution for this? Need advice ...thanks.

I just checked and found they are using Jasmine brand of cabinet hinges. Is this part of the cause? Or simply not enough hinges for the doors?

Some of my kitchen cabinet & Bedroom wardrobe doors does not have the soft closing effect. (LOUD SLAMMING SOUND) Is it a norm to have some doors that work and some that don't work? I am not using BLUM. (Not sure what brand is used) As for Kitchen cabinet drawers, it stopped halfway when I give it a push to close it. The resistant is strong and I need 2nd push to completely closed the drawer. Is there something wrong here? What can the contractor do to rectify this? Need advice. Thanks.

Thanks Diva79 & Tiler Seng for the advices. At least I know what is my rights now even they have those fine prints in the contract. Have to give them a chance to rectify all the issues before deciding what's next.
