We are already at our wits end, don't know what else to do or what other avenues we can turn to address this wrong did to us until we chanced on this forum. at least we can air some of our frustrations online and hope to hear some sympathic voices... in summary: 1. yes we were attracted by the beautiful sofas on display 2. yes we were served by the infamous donovan 3. yes we were swayed by their promises of quality and proven services 4. yes we decided to go with them because we want to supported a singapore based company 5. invoice no. 60244 amount $3,200.00 6. the sofa was supposed to come from their factory in k.l. and delivery end june. 7. one week before delivery we were told the sofa set did not passed 'quality control' thus delayed 8. another date was given when we tried to arrange the exacting timing we were told the company is no more. 9. was told kelvin is the person in charge and to liaise with him 10. kelvin initially answered and asked us to fax him the invoice etc so he can facilitate the process 11. we were already alarmed as he should have all the info in the office but nevertheless we wanted to get this over with soonest thus gave all necessary info. 12. subsequently calls went unanswered and calls to the office told he not in and will call us back but he never did 13. calls to donovan also went to no avail 14. emails to his office (sense art and sister company) received no reply as well 15. we sensed something wrong and proposed if he will come upfront if he has problems and try to mitigate settlement went to no avail as well 16. matter was reported to CASE and was told to go to the small claims court. 17. right now, we are still thinking if its worthwhile doing that...if sense art and kelvin and donovan do not want to respond or choose not to there is nothing we can do 18. even the officer at CASE said the same, the law in singapore is such..it doesnt really protect the consumer in this aspect... 19. so right now, we resigned to the fate that our hard earned money is down the drain...it may not be a large amount but it still hard earned and it hurts.. in conclusion: 1. we are sure donovan and kelvin are in league with each other. 2. sense art have the cheek to go the exhibitions and openly display their wares to cheat unsuspecting and innocent consumers knowing they can get away with it...or they know the loopholes in the law 3. there is nothing one can do against them..they know.. 4. they will lie low and then set up another two dollars company and fleece others again in the future. so donovan and kelvin if you read this... 1. its a crime to cheat unsuspecting and innocent consumers of their hard earned cash. for some it may be a something they look forward to...to come back to a nice home..and you have crashed that dream. 2. you may think you have gotten away with this..i just feel somehow it will get back to you eventually. 3. we wish we can invoke a curse on you but we can't and we won't (we are not like you) so good luck on your future endeavours. folks, excuse our frustrations...its a heart ache to be cheated. end.
