  2. I was supposed to finish updating the remaining happenings of 29th June but just found a bit of breather today :wacko:

    Anyways, here are the remaining updates! :D

    First lets start with curtains;

    So for curtains we picked 11November and the lady who came down for the measurements, Debbie, was very patient and friendly. There was a lot of activity on the day she came down and I had to keep excusing myself to settle deliveries but all the while she waited patiently and continued explaining the different materials just as patiently when I returned to her. So 1 week later was the installation and 2 of her men had come down for it. I didn't take a picture of the installation process (argh!!) but I should have because they did it so well! The guy who was drilling had a plastic bag around his drill to collect any dust that was going to fall as a result of the drilling so it was actually relatively clean! Even my contractor was surprised watching the whole process (when compared to his plumber who gave the impression of mass chaos after drilling. Ok that's an exaggeration, but you get the picture :D )

    The final look of the living area with the day and night curtains and the close up of the night curtain. You can't see it in the picture but it has a really beautiful texture to it! Soft soft :)

    The roller blinds for both corridor windows. Tested them out at night as well to see if we could see into the house from outside when all the lights were on inside; 90% you can't see in. Debbie was right! And during the day it lets sufficient light pass through.

    Common room 1 curtains and close up. Same material as downstairs. I must mention the care the installer took when pleating the curtains. Lovely to watch the whole process.

    Hi Hi can share Debbie contact? Thanks in advance

  3. The air-con was delivered and installed yesterday. It was my fault not to have checked with my ID clearly to confirm the installation. My ID actually told me to get the installer to install the drainage pipes first so that it can be concealed. But I thought that he had wanted me to get the guys to start installing the air-con. Anyway, the installer is a friendly guy and he told me not to worried. He will cover up the FCU after the installation.

  5. After a few weeks looking for a ID, finally decided on which one and has paid a deposit...My story during this period as follow having meet 4 ID company. After collectiing keys went down to expo to see see look look...Few ID firm was there but i did not stop at any cause after seeing those not so familar names so i politely said No. But happen to pass by one and the ID was very persistent and said they have a showroom so decided to stop and take a look. The showroom was beautiful done and the wardorbe was the design my wife wanted so listen to his proposal....

    1) Cr....Des- Was having a package deal. But after adding those design we wanted, the second meet up of seeing the quotation was that it seems too high. Either good or no good in his follow up...call me after 2 weeks...reply that his price is the most expensive...

    2) Su...Des- After reading the forum heard that their price are reasonable but the ID i met seems not able to click with me leh(might be my problem instead). Was very good in his follow up and call me to talk abt discount and ask me to go down his office to discuss again. But i have already decided not to go with him as i scared communication might be a problem later

    3) Gol...San- We saw he done the reno for my wife friend house and was impressed. So contact him and managed to baragin to a comfortable price

    4) D...d-Got this contact through a member here as i was impressed by her writing on her reno journey. Meet him up. friendly chap and price is reasonable as well. But have to drop him after final discussion with wife

    Finally decided to give the reno job to the 3rd ID. Hope it turns out well
