  1. The reno is more or less completed. Left minor touch up here and there. Major cleaning commence tmr.. this are the works done yesterday.. Taps and sinks/basins installed Industrial switches/sockets mounted on the wall Bunker lamps installed on the walls 1 metre Tracklights for the passageway
  2. Those are not electrical wires I think. Its just wire to link the switch outside your door to your doorbell. You can ask him cover back those wire and you need to locate a new point on where to place the new doorbell nearest to a power source where the electrician can tap. For mine its from the distribution box beside the main door. Have you show the bell to your electrician? Cos mine i show hik he said he fixed b4.. so no problem..
  3. Can be use, but need to buy the transformer, cos its 110v compared to our 220v. I got the philips discoverer (TV) and toshiba panapets (radio) as well.. all this will go to the display bookshelf. I cant stop buying them in the past, whenever we travel overseas, love to look out for old/vintage/retro items in flea markets or ebay.
  4. Its weltron 2001- a radio/8 track player And a JVC videosphere- a TV All from the 1970s, the spaceage era when the man landed on the moon.. haha
  5. Bought a can of chalkboard paint for the distribution box near the main door. Also changed the door mechanism by uni-arm. Best $68 spent. No more using paint can or newspaper to stop the door.
  6. The electrician came to complete the remaining lighting points. Brickwall tracklight Dining lamp Living room main lamp Toilet wall lamp (secondary lighting point)
  7. Got the carpenter to add in 2 shelves at the dry area to utilise the space Wanted to purchase the bookshelf kitchen rack but price with shipping is pretty costly. So we got the carpenter to custom make a shelf and mount the ikea rail with hooks above the sink.

  11. Hi, i used ogon oak laminate to standardised with the shoe cabinet laminate. If i didn't have the shoe cabinet, exposed plywood is nice too. I think around 2 weeks, and installation took 3 days but depending how much carpentry u have also..
  12. After the movers left, we went to jalan besar looking for track lights for the passageway area. Most shop carry the common design ones. Was searching for the uncommon looking ones and settled for this, grabbed 3 pcs and a 1m track. Total was $69. Final destination for today was Ikea. Main purpose is to purchase poster frames and cushions. But they didn't seem to have the sizes that we want. Any idea where else to buy cheap poster frames? In the end bought other stuff like kitchen rail, towel rail, bathroom mat, wood hangers, wall phooks, service yard shelving.
