  1. Thank you! Quotes may vary on your requirements; size of works and materials selected, hence it's best to have K go down your new place to take a look and give you a proper quote. But for a rough gauge, I spent about 30k inclusive of the following:

    1) brick wall

    2) 5ft shoes cabinet

    3) kitchen cabinets with solid top

    4) concrete screed for kitchen walls

    5) subway tiles for kitchen walls

    6) vanity table + mirror for 2 toilets

    7) dresser table + mirror

    8) floor tiles for whole house (except kitchen & toilets)

    9) plumbing

    10) electrical

    11) painting

    12) 3 room doors

    13) windows for service yard

    14) honeycomb wall tiles for MBR toilet

    15) Glass shower screens for 2 toilets

To be honest, K is not the cheapest contractor around (in fact his cost might be on-par with some IDs) but his workmanship has been pretty good thus far (except for some frustration with the electrician!) and I like that he's easily contactable (if he misses your call, he's sure to call back awhile later!). Plus, his style suits the house theme we are looking for, hence our decision to use him. Hope the above helps :)

Alrighty thanks anyway! Looks quite reasonable.. Did you do any cabinet for your MBR? Realised it wasnt stated inside.. haha..

  2. Great to see that everything is going well! I'm planning to hire K for my upcoming renovation also.. Your design is very similar to what i had in mind too! Do you mind sending me your quotation by K? so that I can roughly gauge how much my reno cost will be and what things I have to forgo to fit into my budget.. Running on a very low budget :dunno: Having my wedding together with flat collection certainly doesn't help!! :help::help::help:

  3. Progress updates for today. In a week's time, I should be settling in my new home. It is very rush now and certain things will be done after shift in. For example, i still have 3 lightings yet to be delivered from TB. Glassworks and remaining doors should be up either today or tomorrow. Carpentry for balcony area is also still in progress. The friendly eubiq guy came over today to do some site measurement and also gave some advice. Bosch delivery also came to replace the wrong model that they have delivered earlier on for my oven. The workers from my contractor are all out in full force to do cleaning and patching here and there.

Quartz and granite are being installed for my kitchen island area while i was onsite for inspection. Should be all up with my kitchen tap and other basins in the room and taps installed. Some patching works are still in progress and also the installation of my haiku and vento fans.

Quartz countertop installed. the long cutout on the island is for the installation of the eubiq track for use of electrical appliance or laptop. Induction and gas cooker are also cut out.

Balcony carpentry still in progress, the middle portion is for washing machine while the left most portion is still work in progress for a cabinet to display my water feature. Water heater for lower floor is hidden at the centre top. The empty portion to the right can be use for storing small items.

the haiku fan is finally up. have not really tested it yet. It would be nice if all cables can be concealed.

Hello! That Haiku is looking good! How much did you spend on it?

I would like to know also! :) also, how much did the louvre door cost? Thanks!!

Hi Redder, it's ok! Yeah I managed to get his contact from June. Also asked her for her quotation for me to refer to but she deleted it away =( Is it possible for you to send me your quotation just for a rough reference guide? Thanks in advance!!

  6. Hi Grace, great to see that your renovation is going well! :thumbs up: I would like to engage Mr K for my upcoming renovation as well. But before talking to him personally I would like to have a look at his detailed quotation. Is it possible for you to email it to me? My email address is lin.wyuan@gmail.com. Really appreciate your help!! :good:

  7. I got my brickwall that is 12 ft long done for 800 - 1000 dollars.

The reason for the low price is that i got the bricks from Malaysia and paid just for the service.

Hi jaykr, mind sharing how many cartons of craftstones you bought for a 12ft long wall? Thanks!
