Here are some other views of our living area. We've got some Bruce Lee action going on in the hallway. Again the nice artworks of the hubby. He must have gotten A in arts class! Our living under the spotlight The antique looking pocketwatch-like clock we got at a shop in Singapore. -
Here are some pictures of the "other side" of my kitchen! We have a nice miniature desert garden going on there in the green IKEA pot nicely done up by hubby. Much love! We have a F&P sandstone fridge that blends really well with our concept. Love the fact the the freezer is at the bottom and the main food compartment is on top. Don't have to bend too much to access food! Two thumbs up! Lights are again from taobao. We changed the bulbs so we can have more light in the kitchen. Mandatory to change TB light bulbs if you are using them as your main light source. This is the view from the other side of the kitchen looking out into the service yard. We only hacked away the windows and door. Left the walls there as we still wanted to partition the service yard and kitchen in some way and also, so that we can have a clean stop to where the kitchen cabinets will go. You can go all the way and extend your kitchen. Depends on how you want to style it and your budget. But then you would lose your place to hang some clothes! I've seen some pretty decent and chic looking open concept kitchens here in renotalk where the walls between the kitchen and living are hacked. Very innovative and very nice but also very expensive.

Hello all! Long time no talk. We have finally moved into our new pad! I love my kitchen. So ya, Please see pictures of it AGAIN. :-D Love the time spent listening to our sound system. Simply music to the ears! Well worth investment! The hole at the back does get kinda unsightly. Hope the hubby fixes that soon. Will update on the other areas of my new home and appliances soon!

Hi 12, We hacked away the door and windows. Because of the way the door is installed by HDB, hacking it away will inevitably affect the tiling. And yes, you most definitely need to do re-tiling works. I will PM u the cost.

Hi adrianh4rt! I tried to take a pic but it doesn't give any justice to the amount of light emitted. :-( Must be my bad photography skills. You don't have to be too worried about it being too dark. You can just change the bulbs! Yes we got it from taobao. Some of the items that we have moved into our house now. Pretty excited as we are moving in very soon. Suddenly feel so 'old' buying all those household items.. Quite fun at the same time too! And so shweet and loving of course doing all those stuff together as a couple. I hope this feeling never gets out of 'fashion'! :-D The small bench that I tried to 'A' from the Home2U salesman, but end up still have to pay. But nonetheless, I am in love with this bench! The blue blue dustbin we bought from taobao sits nicely in our study and our service yard. Two different sizes. This small one sits in the study and the big one in the service yard. As with all purchases of metal dustbins from taobao, ours came dented as well. The husband expertly bumped it back into decent useable shape. Good for use now! This is the ikea billy bookcase series that we painstakingly put together using some couple of good hours! Some knocks here and there and viola! Love the combination we came up with.

Hi YCG! We had the contractor install them for us. It's Samaire fans. We got them from Heritage. Performance not bad so far. Quite windy and not much noise. Would recommend!

Our renovations are about to come to an end. Now is the laborious period of cleaning and CLEANING!. We found a couple of chipped tiles, after cleaning spick and span, and we had the contractor to come back and RE-TILE! Yes! A bit heart pain but well, we will just have to re-clean and re-wipe everything again. Not that we are complaining. Here are a few pic of our Kompac Plus kitchen table top, combine with the white glossy laminate and black grouted white sub-way tiles. We got our inspiration from, no other than Kompac Plus website itself. HAHA!

It has been a long time. Tiring few days trying to get the house cleaned up. We finally have a study table. Along with some lights for ideas.... geddit? We splurged in Ikea and the display cabinet was one of our hunts. Lighting to get the mood in order. Slowly, piece by piece, our home starts to take shape.

Hi ttx143, I didn't do a lot of research on whether the lights can be installed in Singapore but all the lights I've gotten have been installed. But there has been some problems going on with the lights recently. Some blew and smoked. I am not very happy about this. Not sure if it's the lights itself or the connection that the electrician did was no good. We are still pending the electrician to come down and have a look. Hopefully all goes well! I know a few friends who have bought theirs on TB and are still working well. So I guess all boils down on ur luck. :-) Cheers!
