    Hi Peter Ng, I was just browsing through the posts and found your post on Home Shelter very interesting. I did A & A but had the contractor messed it up and so now I may have to re-do the house. I was checking with some contractors and they were saying for reconstruction home shelter is not required but for new erection home shelter is required. Please is it possible for you to let me know if yours was a reconstruction or new erection and if you could do away with Home Shelter.     We bought a corner terrace and did some basic A&A works. Though the contractor was recommended by a friend he did such a bad job that we might have to reconstruct the house. We tried to save on the architect cost - big mistake - he was a hands off guy. After reading the posts and the stress we went through, have decided to go for a good architect who will advise us and the contractor. Those who have had experience with architects, please can you advise what to look out for in an architect. Also if you have a good experience with an architect is it possible to PM me the contact.     Hi City Girl, I read your posts on your journey of building your house with interest. We bought a corner terrace and did some basic A&A works.
