  1. I'm posting this to share my experience and lesson learn from shopping for LCD TV is Mustafa. I was there with my wife two Mondays ago to shop for Samsung LCD TV. We happen to pass by their Sony counter and this fat sales person approach us and start selling the good points of Sony to us and tell us to go for Sony instead. At 1st we will impressed by his selling skills and consider switching to Sony. But my wife prefers the design of Samsung, so we decided to stick to our initial choice.

When this fellow hear that, he immediately tell us that we should wait for the promo that is happening next week for Samsung LCD and we can get a better offer. So we thank him and went back.

The next week when we are there again asking bout the new promo, this fat sales person just give me a blank look and says: "Oh... the samsung promo?? Oh it has been postpone due to certain reasons... U really don't want to consider Sony?? Sony is better than Samsung. See those Samsung boxes there? Those are spoilt sets waiting for repair. Do you want a LCD TV that is so bad quality? "

I'm fuming mad :P:) I felt i was cheated by this sales guy. We decided not to buy from this Sony guy after this experience and we just went away. :bangwall:

I know Mustafa is having great prices for their LCD. But good service and good Etiquette is also an important factor to contribute to a "money worthwhile" deal. Don't you all agree?

  2. Just want to add that, before you go and buy yourself a new door knob or get a lock set to replace, please measure the width of your door frame, and mark out the position of the metal plate on the frame. I guess HDB door frames are all the same size but you never know. If you can, also take a photo of this part of the door frame to show the guy at the shop.

Thanks Chunky Monkey. Thank you for the good advices. Will visit them tis weekend. :sport-smiley-004:

  3. Hmm.. Pardon my ignorance, Y do top level unit need powerful heater? The Indulge lady told me that the water output will be lower only for the mid floor units leh.

Which model did you choose? The one with the booster pump or with the bigger diameter for the output pipe? We got both, 1 for MBR and 1 for CT.

From what i heard, top level units water pressure is not that strong. My set has a press button to increase watter flow. I believe i purchase this model

Seems like not much ppl know abt centon leh... Where did you buy your centon heater? I bought it from indulge concept and the sales person told me that Sg only a few shops selling.

Yup me bought from Indulge too. :deal::wub: although the design is not that great but i do need a "powerful" heater as my unit is top level. :furious:

  5. Heard from a sales lady that this brand has a model with a booster pump that can boost water flow up to 4 times higher.

  6. Hi Hi... !!

What I did was paint the wall white first ,

I then use a pencil to draw ( freehand )

Then paint the design using black paint.

The tip is to start painting light colors 1st ,so its easier to paint over.

Here's some of my works :P

    Hi clockwork,

Are you keen to do wall painting for forummers' homes? I believe many will be keen to engage you do up their walls :jawdrop:

  7. Hi bro no chance,

Sorry for the late reply. I got my Louis Ghost for $342(include 7% GST) each and Bourgie Lamp for $374(include 7% GST). I was served my Ricky Ngo. Quite a nice guy and give us good advises. Btw, stocks are running low and colours left are limited.

    Hi Centurion9990,

Did you remember the price wrongly? I believe Louis chair should be higher in price than the Bourgie lamp . Which colour u bought? i luv Louis too. :drunk: But have to wait as budget constraint currently :(

  8. My wife and I just got Charcoal Louis Ghost Chairs and a Clear Bourgie lamp, all with around 30-40% off at Lifestorey@Great World!:) They are having a 3 days clearance sale. Kartell stuff @ Space like cost more... So bear with their cocky-ness for some $$$ saving...

    Hi centurion9990,

Good purchase!! I'm sure you will enjoy your Kartells :D:good: You can reveal your purchase price after discount? And who attended at Lifestorey? I also keen to get ghost chair :):)

  9. hi i have not bought any but pretty interested in the GE suspension lamp too! and also the st louis ghost chair. where do u intend to get it from? I just came back from Lifestorey@Great world, the guy is too cocky, didnt get fr him.

Yup i have to admit that Lifestorey's staff is not the friendliest you can find. You can go to Space furniture at Millenia Walk and shop for Kartell products too. Kartell prices about the same @ both places.

I have purchased the GE Lamp in Black/Gold two days back at Lifestorey. I think its worthwhile to get it consider its a affordable price for a designer item. :yamseng:

  10. Thinking of getting a ghost chair for my study room but I do not have any spare $$$. Managed to get a good price for a ghost chair from SPACE through their management but in the end never buy...wat a waste...sigh. Now I have a tulip chair in replacement of the ghost chair, its an old piece that I sprayed with white paint. hehe....

Yup Yup ghost chair is nice. Unfortunately my darling think Kartell stuff look too cheap :dunno: I will have a hard time convincing her....

I can see you are great DIY ideas :deal: Your tulip chair muz b a masterpiece in its own way under your hands :notti:

  11. Looks like you are going to have an exciting home coming up! Looking forward to see the real thing!

I love the Kartell Lamp maybe can consider to have them as my wedding lamps rather than the traditional battery operated ones...is it bright? Any other big lamp to choose?

Creative idea to have them as wedding lamp :( Dun get the crystal clear, cos they r very bright :P The rest will be OK. I luv your Kartell Bourgie :) I luv Kartell :) I hope can i spend more budget on Kartell products in later stage ;)
