  1. Hi Bianzi,

From the wall to the end of the wardrobe is 1.55m. jus the wardrobe itself (w/o the part that is not laminated yet) is 1.4m

Common room. Cos looks abt the same as the size of mine

    Hi Hannybal,

    2pqotcg.jpg

hope this photo is clear enough. we jus need to unscrew the board and can access the windows..

but i have not open it yet.. did not have screw driver with me jus now..

Oh, your wardrobe covers the air con ledge's window right?

Do you mind showing some pictures on how is it open?

How much do they quote you for the toilet's cabinet?

My ID quotes me 1k for the top & bottom with granite top :( Felt so exp!

  2. haha.. ya.. and i thought its the cheaper one among all the quotes i rec'd..

i saw those full set (cabinet + basin) on tmall. looks good and its much cheaper...

Bottom with Solid Surface already 750??

Omg... I hope to find some cheaper alternative in that.. don't really willing to purchase from tmall.com, afraid the quality might be very bad.

sure.. will let u know over the weekend...

  3. Yeah, cover the air con ledge window. I'll take photo of it over the weekend..

If yours is top and bottom with granite, i think it's ok ba? Mine like more expensive. Only bottom with solid surface and it cost me 750 each! Haha

But my contractor did not quote me for all the plumbing works. He say it's FOC (or you can say already included in the price)

  4. my carpentry is finally up (partially)....

not sure if u guys remember this for my MBR wardrobe...

    206ewe1.jpg

this is how it turn out....

the brown laminate has too much 'lines'.. prefer something simpler...

the white laminate i choose is matt/rough finishing.. i jus read that it is more prone to turning yellow compare to glossy finish..

    is that true?

my contractor did the laminate for the middle portion wrongly.. the lines supposed to be horizontal instead of vertical...

do u think it will look better horizontal or like this?

  5. Hi Kooning,

    here you go.. :thumbs up:

Hi Raydon, do you have link for the towel hanger? Can share share? :good:

    Hi Thunder,

I used Oops.. they charge CNY50 per 0.1cbm. However, the min is 1cbm, which means the min you have to pay is CNY500.

So, best to get as many items as possible.

The service is not bad.. but i feel the shipping is a little bit slow. maybe because they only have 2 shipment per week.

As they are facing some issues with the insurance companies, you will not be unable to get insurance to cover your stuffs. Insurance is optional btw.

They are also unable to provide you the up-to-date cbm of your goods until you are ready to ship. so you have to estimate if your stuff is near or already more than the min 1cbm.

the other popular one is Amcon - which i believe most renotalk-ers are using?

its a little bit more expensive. have not personally used it but i believe the shipping should be faster as they have 4 shipment per week.

Maybe others can share more on this forwarder.

I chose oops because everything can be done online, no need to call etc.

If i need to ship many items again, there is a high chance i will use them again.

    hope this help. cheers~

Hi Raydon, can I know which forwarder did you use to ship the TB loot? How much was the shipping cost to ship 0.86 cbm of stuff? Thanks for sharing :)

  6. no problem :)

    Hey thanks bro Raydon.... :)

Hey OceanEleven, thanks for the heads up! will take note of that.

A little side note. You may consider to not use the drainage provided with the sink.

Check with your plumber regarding the quality and installation.

Conventional type may prove to be more lasting.

Hi jhun666, maybe I'll share with you the contractor after most of my renovation works is done..

if i think he's good, i'll share with you.. :)

    hi raydon,

i like your two tone color walls! mind pm me your ID and rough price for the reno? thanks!

  7. i thought i read on another T-blog that its possible to remove?

Last post today is an irritation.

Old owner pasted some form of privacy plastic film over his window? Maybe he was very sensitive about people peeping at him changing. (he doesn't have a good body) :bleah:

ANYHOW! It looks terrible and now I'm most likely forced to replace the two panes of glass. ID recommends the whole window so that the look and colour will be more consistent. Replacing 2 alone will probably be quite obvious. I tried peeling off a bit but it's glue is the type that will stick to the glass forever. Very hard to remove. 8|

  8. No progress.. so upload my 2nd batch of TB hoots..

Bought 2 water spray 'gun' for my toilet. Surprised at the nice packaging considering the price i paid.

The spray feels very solid too.

  9. Hi hwtc28, they are PD doors. just that they paste mirrors over it.

Hi, you were saying this is not PD door. May I know what door did you use? TIA

    Hi Arielkoh,

    welcome :)

i only did it for my MBR thou.. the common toilet is jus normal PD door..

  11. I'll try to take a better photo...

Oh ok...cos ur kitchen looks kinda dim from the picture... Good to know using tracklight is sufficient ...gam xia...

No problem. In fact, i also bought some led stripes but it's DOA. Sigh.. Money wasted...

    Thanks bro.

Please do share more of your purchases and reno tips here.

    Have a nice weekend.

I would think your assumption is right..

I assume the led itself is special in order for the led to changes it color? So if the led source faulty, and u change to a generic led, the color changing function will also not work anymore?

    Have a nice weekend everyone!

  12. Hi Vuzu, i got the lights from Tmall.

    http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=24495456983&spm=a1z09.2.9.134.naYXoE&_u=c1umpormc433

there are 3 kinds for u to choose from.

    1. only 1 colour tone

    2. can switch btw warm white, daylight and cool white

    3. you can adjust ur own colour - all the way from warmest to coolest

i got the third type. it is selling at CNY299 but there is a CNY100 discount for every 1 item you buy.

so its CNY199. there a few more discount voucher if u hit a certain amount.

i also got a smaller one for my service yard.

If the controller spoils, it will be perm stuck the brightness/colour that u last select i guess. hahaha

How much did you pay for you bedroom ceiling lights? And where did you get them from? I like the simple design of your light and it can change from warm white to cool white sounds interesting. Wondering would that be a problem changing the controller? Thanks.

Hi Bianzi, which lights are u referring to?

    Are the lights Galen?

  13. It's bright enough.. Very bright actually... Maybe it's the way i took the photos.. Those are 6w.

Even with so many track lights in the kitchen, it still doesn't seem bright enuff? How many watts are those track lights?

  14. Bedroom 1 and 2 - the lights can change its colour from warm white to cool white using the controller provided. even the brightness can be adjusted.

Just wondering what will happen when the controller spoil.. haha..

    hrn9zn.jpg

    2woauk3.jpg

Toilet lights - the lights are not bright enough, may have to change the bulb..

    j7c7dc.jpg

And finally (for now)... my kitchen track lights!

    jukbrr.jpg

was in a rush (again), so forgot to take passageway and MBR lights.. will do so and share later on.. :D

  15. Contractor told me that the lights are up.

First thing after work - head over to have a look!

    Let there be light!

Greeted first by our dining lights. Black doesn't seems that bad eh?
