One of the prerequisites that we have for furniture suppliers is that they do not use excessively harsh chemicals in treating their furniture products, due to the frequency of human contact with these surfaces (especially with young children). Unfortunately, Singapore's humid climate does encourage the growth of mould and mildew on just about any surface that is not regularly maintained, which is why we have devoted an entire section of our magazine to home maintenance ( Do drop me a PM or an email with your order number!
