Oh.. the Alumix showroom ah.. it's located at Blk 2 Toa Payoh Industrial Park #01-1403. Singapore 319054. Just have to take Bus 238 from the interchange. Yah.. it does make the house look more spacious.. that's why I use quite a fair bit of glass for my house.. the living room would seemed very small if i choose the conventional way of segregating the rooms.. haha.. agreed fully with you applefreak.. this is one of the best place to shop for furniture stuff.. haha.. zhen chong ming! Actuali if you worry that your parents will knock into the coffee table.. you can place a long piece of cloth with nice nice design across the length of the table.. that way.. you might even have a very unique coffee table of your own.. haha..

Haha.. me n piggy had a very eventful 'move house' ritual to complete.. gotta start fire lah.. fill the rice bucket lah.. boil water.. i am sure those who did it before must agree with me that while it's actualli quite fun tinking back now.. haha... oh.. the one on display very chio too.. but too big for my usage.. for shoeholic.. that's an ideal choice! haha.. Oh yah.. the umbrella holder is very useful.. else most will end up hanging their umbrellas in the storeroom.. which might not be easily accessible some times.. actualli we came to realise that ikea also have some slim wall mount shoe cabinets.. but if you are interested in slim shoe cabinets.. ikea might be the other place to shop ard..

Anyway we got our coffee table for abt $350 from Alumix.. the glass is really thick n heavy.. they also have a few other sizes and design.. if you really like it,, shld probably pop by n take a look.. haha.. it was also our first time we saw something like that.. thanks for your kind compliments! haha.. hopefulli we find more time to enjoy them..

Thanks. But they dun come in black glass.. They do have blue or green glass though..

Finally after a long wait n many ups n downs.. we can move in hours later.. Although so, we are not really done with some of the stuff.. rushing like mad for the past few days.. cleaning up.. n more things came in only yesterday.. haha.. But i guess all this is worthwhile.. The whole set including the bedsife table cost ard 1600-1700.. you can pop by vhive and take a look.. they have quite a wide range.. yup.. it's called roller blind.. me n piggy quite lazy to change curtain.. so opt for the less hassle roller blind.. haha.. They will just drill 3 holes into the walls for each rod.. n drill a screw in n then clipped onto the rod.. very simple.. wow.. it's been a really busy Christmas.. unpacking our stuff that is.. what to do.. 3 more days to shift in.. lotsa things to prepare.. haha.. Some pics for all to enjoy.. haha.. cleaning was also one of our concern but i guess sometimes we have to make some sacrifice to get the type of house we like.. as for the birds, we are not so worried as our kitchen has no windows.. the windows are all in the service balcony.. so the chance of bird attacks are low.. but we do see lotsa of insects though..

haha.. I will get a shot on the interior n post it tomorrow night.. if you are interested.. the colours are Love and Sweetness under the Nippon Easywash.. Oh.. the first time round when they send.. a lot of scratches on the exterior of the fridge.. at least 4-5 spots.. so I asked them to change a new one.. feel bad about it.. made the worker move up n down.. This time round it was much better.. just one minor scratch.. oh.. the shoe cabinet costs abt $700SGD.. it is wall mounted.. only 4 screws near the top of the cabinet..

it's been a week since I last updated this blog.. been really busy trying to get everything in place so that we can shift this coming friday.. me n piggy getting really excited.. anyway a lot of our stuff came in yesterday.. one after another while we do up our study room.. Ikea furnitures n self-help.. end results.. backache.. bodyache.. n lots of frustration at times.. especially the stupid glass cabinet.. gave me n piggy lotsa of headache to get it fixed up.. but oh well.. after looking at the finished product.. both of us had a sense of achievement n felt really happy.. haha.. After a week of torture with the feature wall.. seemed like it's been finally settled.. with a little flaw but at least can accept lah.. not so bad.. haha.. This Ben ah.. supposed to handover the house today but err.. cannot finish on time.. actuali much expected.. in the end i had to call up all the companies to delay the delivery till next week.. alas.. such late notice.. but at least they are putting in effort to make it happen.. can't blame them, right? Well supreme also finally make good all the stuff I requested them to do.. so my leave is worthwhile afterall.. haha.. n of coz.. my glass walls are all up liaoz.. hehe.. shi mei de lou.. haha.. !! I am not exactly sure but would think so.. actuali i do not see a problem for mine coz the lourve window is within my home premise.. not too sure for those which faces out of the flat walls.. Did you ask why HDB would not approve it? Is yours facing out of the flat wall or within your own premises?

well.. an eventful week past.. still have quite a few outstanding problems.. haiz.. The skirting from Supreme is still giving me lotsa of headache.. came down 3 times and still cannot resolve all the problems.. they will be scheduling another visit again to repair the existing problems.. not only that.. everytime they come.. they will spot new problems for me.. n tell me that they will feedback to HQ.. only to re-schedule another visit.. usually in a week's time.. ARGH! painfully experience although i still love my flooring.. can only keep my fingers crossed now.. hoping that everything will be resolved before I moved in.. !! !! Next up.. my feature wall.. measurements wrong.. laminate popping up.. quite disappointed at the quality delievered.. but Ben promised me that they will re-do the feature wall on Monday.. Hopefulli everything turns out well.. Good thing is.. more things are up this week.. all lightings are up.. ventilating fan is up too.. n nice surprises from the electrician.. he gave us a chio chio power point for our hood.. haha.. we were expecting a normal switch n power point.. if not one more week n all my furnitures n electrical appliances should be moving in.. but looking at things.. a little worried.. still gotta paint one more time.. outstanding touch-ups yet done.. n the skirting which is giving me lotsa headache.. haiz.. Our kitchen.. almost done.. only left the mirror.. solid surface top.. n glass panels.. The nice nice power point for my hood.. haha.. Dining Lights.. simple.. Warm lighting.. our ventilating fan.. Well.. some minor updates.. my chio chio white feature is finally up! haha.. actually not totally white lah.. the background wall supposed to be a little grey with lotsa of silver and white circles but they din really stand out.. still i think the grey n white contrast has given my simple feature wall very subtle design.. But hor.. the wall is supposed to be flushed with my foyer wall.. haiz.. this Ben ah! will sort it out with him n see what he can do now.. really dunno.. A little panic now.. coz all my furnitures and TV supposed to come in on the 15th and these things have to crop up.. Will update if any further developments.. meanwhile keeping my fingers crossed.. hope everything turn out well.. been quite a emotional roller coaster i must say.....
