  1. i don't know abt windchime but i remember my paternal grandma (who had pass on long ago), forbid anyone at home to put windchime. she says it attract other spirits (whether gd or evil type) to your hse. i also don't know but that story sure scare my mum and she don't dare to have any of that in our hse.

i also remember my parents, grandparents and aunties (they are a load of kay poh aunties = 3 big wet mkts when they got gatherings :bangwall: ) told us that during chinese qing ming and 7th month, cannot stay out too late outside. and also when at night, if you hear usual noise, eg. chains clanging, people walking but like very tired and dragging along, got dogs whining & barking like ****, don't open door/window to kay poh. they say that the ghosts are being send / transported to certain places so don't clash with them.

i only encounter once and that was enough. i went to my maternal grandparents' kampong hse and at about 3.30am, there was loud clanging chains and sound as if there are people walking past. the dogs at my grandparent house and neighbours are barking non-stop. and the dogs started barking from the left most house to the end of the house at the end of the street as the clanging noise travel to that direction.

i was scared like ****, shivering in the blanket as i was awoken by the loud clanging chain noise. and i thought its me, watching scary movie before bed time but when i woke up in the morning, i asked my uncle and aunty and my cousins, all of them heard the same thing. and they told me its normal :bangwall: !! :bangwall:

  2. hi,

for all cars that can response better, manual car is better than auto car. and for car that can really cheong, manual gear car also better. if you know how to handle the civic, you will know its power.

suzuki sports is gd and fast enough.

vios, when travelling at fast speed, kind of like floaty feel, quite dangerous in fact. the guy who die drives and crash and over turn the van at ECP small road while travelling to work in the morning drive a vio and was travelling at 120km+.

so like the signboard says "SPEEDING KILLS", don't anyhow speed even if you think you are gd at car handling.

like what Bro MaCe says, i got freinds who drive kor cars and also got maintenance problm after 3 years.

and for MY cars, the only more reliable one is perodua. so far they readily available parts here in SG or MY and becoz its quite basic engine, the breakdown rate is low.

the breakeven ususally can meet at around 3years. don't have to go to 5years unless you got those type of terrific financing. don't take those financing where they build up as the years progress, aka bubble financing. i got 1 colleague ever use this financing and at the end when he sold of his car at year 10, he got to fork out even some more cash for it. he curse and swear like **** everyday. :bangwall: !!

gas fill type of cars are very common in Australia. and everytime when there's a car accident, you will see police car, ambulance and fire engine all come coz they scare it will explode. but of course thats for worst type of accident, they are juz being safe. :jawdrop:

actually cng car are quite safe coz they got safety features. its quite a gd concept. except in SG, its hard to get refill. unlike in Oz, every petrol kiosk got gas refilling stand.

and for now, hybrid also not bad. i have a hybrid to drive whenever i need to, so i quite like it. avg abt $200-$250 for petrol per month depending on your millege. environment friendly somemore. :bangwall::lol::bangwall:

actually i also don't know what's the facination over sunroof. my crv got 1 sunroof where i seldom use it. daytime hot, night time only see moon and stars. but gd for bringing gals out at night for romantic outings...:D:lol:

  3. oh ya, forgot to mention, in Japan, fit actually have turbo version. and i mean real turbo, not those after mkt installation. but original turbo from honda :bangwall: the fit is for Jap mkt specs which is better than jazz but jazz meets the local requirements. because in Jap mkt, they need powerful machine to travel far but their parking is much more expensive than oweing a car :good::~

  4. ya, honda jazz / fit is the super mini champion :~:( but cost is $55k+/- and once it get to this price range, the $17k savings will sort of diminish as when you calculate, avg monthly cost that you need to fork out is abt the same as normal plate car.

i got 1 honda jazz at hm and i love this car. but the new honda jazz is abt to come out. totally different look from the old range. the parallel importer (PI) has already bring the changed Fit in SG mkt already. so if want to have a look at the new facelift, go PI and see. with all the sport things all fixed up, whew... it looks like a mini power racing car :wub:

but honda jazz/fit is vy petrol saving car, that's why its a supermini champion.

but for safety, most impt factor is the driver (besides the car). you have seen how many evos/wrx/beemers/etc that got into serious accidents that are reported on the news. if the driver is a kuku nut driver, no matter how safe or good the car he/she owns, its a danger to every road users.

the crash tests that were done and film and put on youtube is usually not tested on fair grounds. A $30k car cost in the original country of mfgr may only be $10k, and what do you expect a $10k car can do? basic transport from point a to point b, just like a bicycle, except its engine is more powerful and can attain a certain speed.

but of coz that's why the more ex a car, the more luxury items is installed. some even have front airbags and side airbags that come out from the chair and the door. but there's been a study that airbags can kill too, so is seat belts.

that's why the driver really has to be a responsible driver to others and not only to themselves.

there are ways to manuever cars that got abs or no abs and how to control skiding car and handle the car properly rather than let the car handle the driver. those who buy beemers will have such course, there are also other institutions offering such course. practically, they also teach you how to crash at minimal damage or avoid crash. also teaches you to do stunts and a mini race to let you feel the F1 feel. very shiok but very scrary course.

  5. all chevys kimcheeland, heard was made in daewoo factory(defunct) cos chevy bought over - unless lefthanddrive.

thanks Bro MaCe for pointing out. I only know whatever type of model under daewoo brand have mfg, chevolet also have. eg. aveo, daewoo also have 1 exactly similar model.

nowadays too many car mfgrs buy here merge there, until the cars all like rojak juz that different brand.

hi leen, you are so precise ,thanks...

i duno i feel watever color u try to match with red plate, its still red plate but the saving $$$ is amazing.

that's why don't mind the red plate, juz take the savings $$$

even if they come out ultra ugly plate but give even more savings in $$$, i think there are many ppl out there also don't mind.

in SG its quite different. owning a car is a heavy burden on the wallet. unlike at other countries where tax is low. Actually car selling price is low. the expensive part is the tax and shipping charges that is being imposed + other considerations like environment control.

the prices i have stated here for the cars may vary as these prices are of last year price. its been sometime since i last went to view cars as im quite busy. i have a passion for cars and hoping that i be able to catch the F1 when it starts later at Aug/Sept 08 this year. :good::good::D:dribble::yamseng:

  6. btw, whatever lamps/lightings you gonna buy - make sure you tell them you WANT ONLY philips/osram bulbs/tubes. Never take their simi what this chinabrand/malaysianbrand more tok kong grandma stories...during my house reno till now i have tried all sorts of brands - including megaman/akira(All CMI).

Insist only on philips or osram.

Bro MaCe is rite. the rest of the brands will die vy fast, if not too fragile and POP easily if not handle correctly.

so that means, when i buy lightings, i should ask for T5, also E-ballast.

so what if they don't have these two inside? shall i bargain for discount and then buy outside?

or shall i give up this shop and go to another one that has these two?

bear with me... another stupid question :D:D:(

    thanks...

bargain for free ballast, tubes, etc. tell them other ppl got give, if not, don't buy. that's how i got 2 extra lamps and 2 extra ballast free for each light !!

the boss also cannot tahan me and must be scolding behind my back that im yao gui robber :D

one of my experience is that nowadays the lighting got funny design within and not the exterior. eg. the ballast may not be those cheap type that is commonly used and may not be easily available outside. as my hm is too big now, i hv to buy those that are energy saving and brighter type, if not area will seem dim.

  7. this thread is really interesting...

    applefreak is rite.

but my old hse, although low flr and at prominent area (near TPY) with alot of ppl, vehicles, noise, dusts.... :P = alot of human qi, but still got funny thing happening.

my unit is the top unit and for the past 5years+, everynight starting exactly from 1.30am, there are running around with thumping sound coming from the roof... :notti::P:P

don't tell me there are ppl living on the roof? :P

and at exactly 2am, there are ppl dragging furnitture. and all these will stop at abt 3.15-3.30am.

at 1st i thought its my neighbour or me having hallucinations after watching scary show at night but both my hb and sister also confirm they heard such noises...

but we live with it without any problm... they made their noises, we catch our beauty sleep... each do their own things.. each mind our own biz... :P:yamseng:

so used to it already coz i experience more frightening things before and this is juz a small case... :P:sport-smiley-004:

  8. hi,

1 of my cars is an opc. and here's the rationale of it... the OPC.... :P

    1) there will be a instant deduction of road tax of $17k. this deduction will lower the cost of the car significantly if you buy a small car. ie. you will see a much more significantly lower cost of car to pay per month.

eg. buy car price around $40k+, the deduction of $17k = $23k+

but if you buy a car at $30k+, after deduction of $17k = $13k+ (that's cheap)

remember, the bigger the car, the higher the price, the less savings you will see or the savings will have lesser impact on you... ie. not much feeling on savings...

and normal $30k cars include malaysian made cars,d china made cars and korea made cars. for pica, its about $35k+ onwards.

malaysian car: eg. perodua, about $28k-$34k

china car: eg. geely, about $30k-$36k

korea made car: eg. pica, about $35k-$39k

chevolet aveo (don't know made from where coz its korea daewoo clone): is about $32k-$36k

all depending on what you add, eg. sports model, luxury model etc. and also COE and car price at the time of purchase.

    2) normal car inspection is 3 years 1 time. but for opc, its 1 year 1 time inspection as they want to check the red plate if its being tempered with. and it cost about $50+ per inspection.

remember not to do any modification to the car that require removing the area where the plate is or removing and fixing back of the plate. they will know. they scan the whole plate.

    3) if you are only making minimum travels, its ok to get a opc small car. parking for small car is no sweat but parking fees must pay. it also provide a mean of convenient to user.

    4) OPC car can be freely driven on Sundays, public holidays and during the following non-restricted hours: -

    - Mondays to Fridays: from 7.00pm to 7.00am

    - Saturdays & Eve of the 5 Public Holidays*: 3.00pm onwards

*New Year, Lunar New Year, Hari Raya Puasa, Deepavali and Christmas.

    - Sunday: whole day free (don't need coupon)

    5) the $20 coupon

the coupon is a piece of coupon smaller than A4 size paper with perforated areas to tear for year, month, date. vy similar to parking coupon except its bigger.

the year, month and date are in different color is made easiler for TP to recognise it from far, therefore cannot play cheat.

the whole perforated area must be tear clean. if TP caught 1st time for not displaying coupon, its a warning. for 2nd time, it will be a $12k fine. and all these subject to if TP is nice guy in gd mood that day or not. not worth to risk it coz if not go jail, even lagi jia lat.

if you are travelling during restricted hours, 1 coupon must be torn. and this $20 coupon is for whole day use and for that day only.

it will be more worth it if you are comparing taking frequent taxi rides which will be more costly.

    read the benefits:

    http://www.lta.gov.sg/motoring_matters/mot...mes_offpeak.htm

If you need to use your OPC during the restricted hours, you will need to display a $20 day licence.

You can purchase the day licence from the following places:

    - Any Singapore Post Office

    - Automobile Association of Singapore

    336 River Valley Road

    Tel : 6333 8811

    - Land Transport Authority

    Vehicle & Transit Licensing Division

    10 Sin Ming Drive

    Tel : 1800 - CALL LTA or 1800 - 2255 582

if you accidentally tore the coupon wrongly, you can exchange it at LTA office. but they only allow 2 coupon exchange per year per car/user.

    6) road tax

yearly road tax $50 (i think its subject to the type of car you buy, eg. bigger car, higher road tax) for small car.

    7) car insurance

cheaper for small opc car. it cost about $800 for 1st time insurance (without any rebate) and $600 for 2nd year (with rebate as no claim bonus). and also subject to the insurance company that can give you a gd deal.

ntuc insurance cost $600 for all in and with free car replacement during should car is in workshop due to accident and cannot be use... :yamseng: ...touch wood...

as i have other cars that are of normal plate at hm, and base on the above all and the comparison between my other cars, i see owning a OPC is affordable and convenient. at least you will not fee a major 'OW' when the road tax, inspection, car insurance all come at the same time. and like what Applefreak says is correct, $17k discount is enough for you to buy loads of coupons to drive for quite some time.

    hope the above helps... :P

Rich ppl normally dun read they jus come in look at a few second and walk over to the counter to paid $$$. :sport-smiley-004:

Hi Leen, thanks for the infor.

:notti: ya lor.. rich ppl buy car is agent made special appt with them and let them test exclusively at special place

if too rich, buy car don't need to test, juz choose from latest special catalogue made for them... :good:

i stay in town & work in town, bus to workplace is 10mins, tot of getting weekend car but... the red plate GOSH!:P so ugly...

but i hav no idea what is the diff between OPC & Normal car?

    Installment free policy :P

red plate also look nice, get a yellow car and with a red plate, and you change your rims to sport rims and voila... a lookalike sports car.. :dunno::dunno::notti:

black car with red plate also outstanding... abit beng but i like... :P

white car with red plate is vy outstanding and look like VIP special mah tah car :yamseng::unsure::unsure:

you can have the car spray in pink and with the red plate, its soooo.... sweet lady feel... men always like to turn and look (trust me, coz i look also... :P:P:P:yamseng::drunk: )

  9. :(:rofl::rofl:

me lor soh ah mah leh :good:

ya, MaCe is rite, if taxi/bus fare more than $600-$1k a mth > go buy a car but hor, to own a car, estimate monthly cost (with all in), its wat i stated:

    - small car = $1200

    - saloon car = $1600

    - bigger car = $2000

of course, there's another option, get a OPC small car. the amount to set aside per month:

    - small car = $700

and also i forgot, if you are those that spend alot of time travelling or rather, you click alot of mileage on roads, it will be better to get a hydrid car. save alot of petrol cost considering petrol price keep increasing.

currently, there are not much hybrid car on the road, so far only honda hybrid and toyota prius that are within our reach. lexus and others are too ex.

honda hybrid are more well establish as theirs is don't know reach how many generations of R&D already for hybrid and so its more reliable.

and also hybrid helps to protect our environment. :(

8| who dare to buy car after reading your super long post?

    most rich ppl lor.. :deal:

Too short .. Tio Shoot Cheong Post Count

Too long .. Tio Shoot for too lor sor.

    Like that how? :P

nebermind la.. shooting ppl is fun, today i kana shoot, tomorow i shoot ppl, like arcade games... shiok nia... zz

  10. hi ladyluck,

your question is generally vy general.

    car cost:

    1) depend on type, brand, make, model.

juz like MaCe says, the difference between the country of origin/make

eg. abc brand car model 1 make in jap vs abc brand (same brand) car model 2 make in thailand got price difference... sawadeekap made is cheaper

    2) 2nd hand car generally can bargain for better price. look out for car that are used for 1-2 years type. condition still quite gd and still under warranty.

    3) type: eg. saloon car, hatchback car, AWD, 2WD, suv, mpv etc. of coz the bigger the car cap, the more ex.

petrol: (petrol cost also depend on optimization of driving the car, constant speed = constant petrol consumed = lower petrol cost, there are gadget in the mkt to monitor this. but for honda car, there is a build in monitor that will let you know the optimization)

    1) so far, cheapest type are small cars, eg. honda jazz (top of super mini petrol saving car).

    2) dependent on car type also. eg. cannot compare a 1litre car to a 1.3litre or 1.6litre car. generally, those that got greater cap or power car, higher petrol consumption... if not how to have power leh???

    3) dependent on usage. eg. some ppl like to vroom vroom alot or with heavy feet, sure car drink petrol like waterfall fast fast... high cost. eg. also on travel pattern. if most traveling are on highway, lesser petrol cost. if travel alot on normal city area where there are alot of stopping at trafic lites or jams, petrol cost is high.

    4) eg. a AWD consume more petrol.

    5) to calculate if car consume petrol efficiently, always note down the km travel, petrol vol top up, $ use for petrol. and you will know eg. per litre travel xxkm (eg. generally, bigger cars are 8-9km/litre, most car fall in the range of 10-12km/litre, more efficient type may yield 15-18km/litre.

    6) manual vs auto transmission car. manual car optimises the petrol better so can yield higher km. eg. same car type but 1 is auto, 1 is manual - auto yield 12km/lire, manual may yield 16km/litre.

    7) generally, for normal usage, be prepared for $600+ for petrol per month(since petrol $ keep going up and never come down nowadays... :jawdrop: )

    season parking:

    1) dependent on where you park. eg. hdb generally cheaper, $65 to $95. can check hdb website for their rates. $65 for open carpark. $95 for covered carpark, eg. multi-storey carpk (MSCP).

    2) parking at city area more ex. eg. if your work requires you to drive and your work place is at shenton way area... die lor... season parking vy ex and also not necessary have, vy luck ku one leh. some kiasu ppl buy whole year season parking leh.

    3) condo parking. so call free but already cost build in... :notti: condo developer not so stupid.

    erp/cbd/shopping centre parking/hourly parking etc.

    1) these are costs as well.

    2) with so much erp on rd, don't be surprise that next time take mrt also must pay erp... 8|8|

    3) generally, allocate abt $100 per month if you go thru alot of erps and also park at expensive hrly parking areas.

    4) also don't forget must buy coupons leh... vy heart pain to tear coupons everytime coz i see myself tearing my hard earned $$$ :help::help::help:

    road tax

    1) can refer to onemotoring website for infor.

    2) generally, higher cap car = higher road tax coz you are consider A SAI (well to-do) ppl whose wallet is rich enough to compensate for the pollution made... :horse:

    3) smaller car = lower road tax

    car insurance

    1) expensive thing...

    2) dependent on car cap. bigger, more ex, luxury car = higher insurance = reason: car price more ex, car parts and car repair more ex if got into insurance. whatever it is, its EEEEXXXXPPPEEENNNSSSIIIVVVEEE.....

    3) get quote from different insurance coy and see how much premium to pay.

    4) of coz if no accident for 1st year, 2nd year insurance got a 10% discount, subsequently 2nd year no accident, 3rd year got 20% discount and the cap is at 50% discount.

    5) so if you don't drive, 100% discount :notti:

    other costs

    1) repairs - depending on what is serviced and brand of car. repair of ben signal lite vs jap car's signal lite = $xxxx.00 vs $xxx.00

    2) servicing - eg. bwm go to workshop 1 time = +/-$1000!:deal::dribble:

normal avg jap car = +/-$250

    small car = +/-$150

    3) maintnenace

    - car wash range from $2.50 (not so clean, chin chye wash type) to $6 for small car to saloon car. bigger size car range from $8 onwards. taxi the cheapest... $2

    - wash + wax exterior only

small to saloon car = $50 to $80

big size car = $70 onwards

    luxury car = more ex

    - wash + wax + clay

small to saloon car = $70 to $100

big size car = $100 onwards

    luxury car = more ex

    - all the above + interior grooming

small to saloon car = add $20 to $30

big size car = $50 onwards

    luxury car = more ex

generally, the amount of $$ you need to set aside for your 2nd wife:

    - small car = $1200

    - saloon car = $1600

    - bigger car = $2000

of course, there's another option, get a OPC small car. the amount to set aside per month:

    - small car = $700

the above are mostly base on my experience as i hv tried many different cars thru the years.

  11. oh, i didn't know about marble table and FS relationship until i just read this thread. what about those ppl whose house floor is marble, how? major pressure coz area even bigger? :dribble:

the table and coffee table that i chosen must not have glass at all as scare kids will accidentally break it and hurt themselves.

  12. actually its quite ok la, our leaves got many days leh. 14 days for year 1 to year 7. pro-rated for year 8. after that its 21 days per year. some eg. of leave days. for me, i already acumulate to 40days annual leave.

    1) maternity leave: 60days

    2) urgent leave: same as annual leave

    3) annual leave: 14 or 21

    4) childcare leave

    5) hospitalation leave - must be in hospital type, different from sick leave: 60 days

    6) compassionate leave

    7) business leave

    8) exam leave

    9) NS leave

    10) on course leave

    11) no pay leave

    12) sick leave - eg. MC

  13. hi all,

    juz to share my experience.

im in a medium size company, total staffs strength is about 600++ (i think, too many ppl here already)

and there are different subsidiaries, depts, divisions etc.

so in order to implement and control all staffs & workers, we have this electronic HR thing so that we are able to do these things:

    1) apply leave must apply in advance of 3 days for normal leave application other then that its urgent leave and must put reason.

    2) there is a daily board where you can see who are on leave from which dept for 3 days (3 days forecast)

    3) to prevent ppl from same dept taking leave on same timing and thus leave crash. we are expected to take turn to take leave unless valid reason is provided. this is gd as it helps the managers to plan and arrange who to cover duties.

we have the following type of leave and all these are watched/approved/etc. by the Union so cannot anyhow change anything:

    1) maternity leave

    2) urgent leave

    3) annual leave

    4) childcare leave

    5) hospitalation leave - must be in hospital type, different from sick leave

    6) compassionate leave

    7) business leave

    8) exam leave

    9) NS leave

    10) on course leave

    11) no pay leave

    12) sick leave - eg. MC

    but no: FREE LEAVE :)

and so in order to make everyone follow the company rules & regulations, we have to apply leave should we need to be away from work.

only individual bosses (also depend on who you work with) will give you time off with 1 eye open and 1 eye close. and some bosses will be vy strict, but some will back stab you behind by complaining to HR and you will kana from HR.

but of course there are many ppl who can geng type who will go take MC instead of taking annual leave as they want to accumulate as many as possible so that can take and go for long holiday or take leave as and when they like.

until 2 years ago, our 2nd auditor came in and said that MC is a cost to the company and so is accumulated annual leave. they present a scenario to us; eg. if profit sharing / bonus for year 2000 is 7 months for each staffs, and due to too many accumulated leave, some may get 7mths, some 5mths, some 3mths, some 2weeks, depending on how many leave they have accumulated, ppls start to get a shock. and start to take proper leave. dunno if this is a gd way but now there are less accumulation of leave and unnecessary MCs. (coz some ppl give fake MCs and was somehow been found out) :furious:

  14. Hi LadyLuck, I was a bride years ago.....So hope my experience can be of help to you.

Tat time I also hv 2 options on my WG, tat is to make- to- measure or off the rack.

I chose off the rack cos I need to try it on myself and noe which cutting fits best for me.

Tat time, the bridal shop staff told me tat if I chose make-to-measure, I cannot change to other gowns

if the end result is not wat I wanted....

I didn't wanna take the risk...so I just tok off the rack though I also dun like the idea of other

    brides wore it before...

Bt tat time my BS is kind enuff to let me try those new arrival, as in no other brides hv worn before

as proclaim by them...I just close one eye and believes them la....anyway every gown loks new to me....hahahaha....

I also advises my every fren to choose off the rack when I am their wedding coordinator...and they

always come back to me and say they are happi with off the rack.

It depends v much on yrself...if u hv the design, material in mind, perhaps u can work

v closely wif the designer so tat the end result is something u like...

    Good luck!

    hi,

juz to share me, my sisters, my girlfriends experience...

most of us choose OTR. reason (pros): got soooo many pattern to choose from and vy instantly you will get it altered to your size.

(cons): ppl ever wear before. but they do thorough cleaning of the gowns. and if you want, you can choose the top with another type of skirt and VOILA!:furious: a special so-called MTM gown is for you. (that was what i did :notti: )

anyway, you are not going to buy the gown and wear it every now and then. its only 1 time affair, save your $$$ for travel / honeymoon and buy yourself some gd stuffs.

i got a colleague whose wife insist on MTM gown. the gown came out so-so only, nothing special coz wife is not those lanky beautiful face models who dawn those gowns and so can't bring out the gown's beauty. worst is my colleague complain to me that they have to go to the bridal shop so often everytime they call to ask for details or the wife suddenly think she wants / don't want something.... they live at woodlands and their bridal gown shop is at Tampines :):):seeya: just imagine the travelling route :notti:

  16. you hv to do regular maintenance. this is even more a massive job if you are staying in landed property.

do once a week spray all around the hse, eg. outside windown grilles, outside door area etc. baygon or any other insect repellant which are odourless type. do it during windless day, especially gd to do it early in the morning. this is applicable when news of aedes mosquitoes report on the rise is on the news.

if not, once every 2 weeks or 3 weeks will do.

also remember to open those floor trap and spray into them.

remove all stagnant water and clear rubbish often. rubbish include eg, fallen leaves of plants around the hse area etc.

paste insect repellant or cockroaches repellent at corner of hse eg. at store rm, kitchen flr end (near to service balcony and not at cooking area), service balcony, etc. find the area which has the least sunlight, lots of moist etc. to paste these things. and change them every 3 to 4 months.

pandan will not rid the insects, instead it may attract insects like spider mites etc. so if you hv plants, must get a insect repellant for plants. ask the gardener to recomend 1 that is easily spray on and not of high toxic level. DO NOT BUY those that need to be mix with water etc. coz these are highly extremely toxic and if ppl drink it accidentally or purposely, sure will die. and also the best is to spray these lightly onto plant's leaves and roots early in the morning (before 7am) and in a windless day.

why i keep stressing windless day is becoz 1stly, you don't want to get these repellant into your mouth or breathe in these if they are spray in a windy day, 2ndly these will be easily evaporated away during windy days so becum useless.

    hope the above helps.
