  1. When i asked around shops, the sales for Bosch product is higher, however, the sales people in HN, courts of various area said the same thing, their service standard has fallen and they do not have sufficient customer and product support people to support technical issues. The good part is that they are starting to recruit more people to solve these issue.

However, until they solve it, i'm staying away from Bosch, even if i have to pay a bit more for other brands. These kind of issues do not simply vanish overnight. The products are nice, sleek, reasonably price, but all these cannot be the justification for poor service.

  2. We have kerb and no kerb with and without shower screen. All works.

Some prefer open space, some prefer water to be isolated, it is really all personal preference. Having a kerb is not expensive, not having one also wouldn't save you much, so it really depends.

You have to weigh the pros and cons of each, but at the end of the day, you'll be the one using the toilet, you can decide what work best for you.

  3. Went down to Tradehub 21 lightings.com.sg outlet and purchased my light from the sales person Ah Kang. Friendly chap, very service oriented, do not mind climbing up and down just to test things out and understand our needs.

Since we have not really decided what are all the lights we want, we just purchase the living room and bedroom lights. The rest of the lights will be just a bulb for the time being.

I would return to purchase my lights when we have decided if it is necessary to change after the reno is done.

  4. You might want to research some of the line items first and concurrently go to anothe id for a discussion. You will need to know from the list which are the things you need and those you can remove.

Ask for individual break down, I see that the HK aventos lift system is given free, the average price for that is about $720 if you go to the Blum dealer.

Another example is do you need paint with unlimited colours? Normally range from 1.1-1.6k depending on the number of colours. Anyway take it easy you still have time. Go around and discuss more and eventually you will know what you need.

    Cheers!

  5. Bro gkbt, you are using Jupiter and recommend it? Reason I ask is because I don't have much time to do research so I would seek your recommendation. I will be using the unit sparsely for 5 years before moving.

  6. Hahaha come on, this forum is essentially a place to copy each other's ideas lol.

Do you happen to have a few whole picture of the toilet after they have installed the accessories?

Also the Kraus sink up with tap everything? Can't wait to see also the blum.....

I need to control on spending.... :deal::deal::deal:

  7. I grew up with Dunlopillo and we had 3-4 beds then all Dunlopillo and one of them sag in the middle. I think it is a hit and miss situation and not everyone will experience that. I can't vouch for their after sales service because we just replace them.

However, now that we are able to decide on which bed to purchase, and one brand got themselves a life time customer unless they decide to let me down and i'll switch without thinking, that is what i told them.

Here are some links for Mattress.

  8. You are actually right about pocket spring and it is technically correct. Pocket spring mattress is sufficient but nowadays all major brands like Simmons, Sealy, Slumberland have their own continuous spring version. These larger companies are able to afford and patent their own design and command a higher price on these continuous spring. The feedback that i got is that Titanium alloy is simply a mixture of various metal including titanium (So does BMW, Benz, Lexus, etc?). i didn't ask about the % of titanium.

Hence, i normally purchase as long as the wife likes it, feels comfortable and within reasonable means.

Today, i went down to Sealy Sleep Palace at Tanglin plaza (very limited parking) to see how much Sealy have grown over the past 5-6 years after we purchase our first bed. it is a good recap that Sealy actually sells their bed to major hotel chains like St. Regis, Ritz Carlton, Holiday Inn, etc and i always appreciate a good bed after a long travel.

Additionally, i learn that there are price ranging from 1k+ to 20k for the top of the range mattress and the hotel lines utilize the mid range 3-4k type of bed and if we travel enough, we can feel the difference between a good (hotel) and a budget (motel) bed.

Other then that i think we are happy with our purchase of Heritage plush and some other things we bought. Couldn't afford the top of the range kind, but it does feel very good just to lie on it (free trial).

I went back to Sealy only on one decision, their after sales service. I'm sure there are other better beds out there, but i'm a stickler for after sales service. If anybody is looking for Sealy, i would recommend the Sealy Sleep palace at Tanglin plaza, but not the IMM sleep boutique. They all are distributors of Sealy but the flagship store at Tanglin plaza has a fuller range for someone who have not kept up with the mattress world.

    Cheers!

  9. The coils are titanium alloy.

Where did you read that the coils are 100% Titanium?

Titanium Posturepedic Coils - Manufactured Titanium alloy makes this coil system extremely durable, but light and flexible. 660 coils in queen size.

US company wouldn't dare lie through their teeth as the federal laws there are more stringent when it comes to invitation to sell and advertisement.
