  1. Yes, and must take your time to look for a suitable id/contractors.

    Cannot rush thru'.

    huh, so jiat liat...

I think all this really depends on luck and ID right?

I have been to another ID.. famous in RT

end up.. not very satisfactory... just ask me what i want .. note down already , ask me to wait for his quotation

    n then BYE BYE

no presentation, dun even have drawings, pictures and tiles to see

during discussion, tell me ok everything with 30k

when i see the quotation.. its over 40k

  2. I went to I bridge to get quotation also.

But did not sign with her.

Show me a few pieces of garnites tiles.. (Never say bring me to the granite company to select).

    Show me the 2d.

A few days later, call me and ask for me about the quotation.

Ask me to compare apple to apple.

But never bring me or offer to bring me to see showflats.

In the end, I say good bye to them.

Only see quotation, a few pieces of granite tiles...that's all!

How to sign up with them?

  3. I forgot to do the backsplash....sob sob sob....

Actually my mum custom made for alter table...I just wanted to place a glass on the wall all the way up to the ceiling and overflow to the ceiling by about 20".

I prefer glass...easy to clean and for alter table, better to have it bright.

There will be a back splash. But I am still considering whether to have it in glass or laminate etc.

Do you have any recommendation? :)

  4. Please let me know how you do your prayer altar? I mean any back splash something like that.

    Good Luck!

After reading all the reviews from forums, I decided to go down to Classic Design Interior personally with my hubby.

After few discussions with the Gina, we decided to engage them due to their friendliness, responsibility and creativity.

They had just started renovating my house and I believe that the outcome result will be great.

By the way, I will be doing 2 wardrobes in my MBR, a storage TV console, prayer altar, household shelter and shoe rack feature wall and of course cabinet for the kitchen etc.

I will update you guys the progress again.

  5. Let me tell you this true story.

My cousin who doesnt believe a d..amn. about fengshui kind of thing and yet, I was surprised that he actually perform a very simple ritual!

When probe, he told me better safe than sorry and told me to have a smooth renovation and all smoothly.

  6. Mine is YZS.

I remembered I told her I dont want a fw characters.

She will gave me a few names to choose from according to the number of strokes and the baby bazi.

I also remembered I went to one so called fsm! He got moustache and he look at the name which I gave....he look at the name (written on the paper) for so long until he told me my baby dont have any name!!!! I was so angry by his remarks! I will let you know his name as I forgot. A terrible experience from him! S.ucks!

  7. Hi GPP, for BEAN case, about dark corners, can install ceiling lights to activitate it? Rather than have it dark...

hi happy, thanks for suggestion. unfortunately, i think false ceiling quite unlikely for our kitchen in this sense as it may reduce the cabinets space that we're intending to build around the beams area :(

i think we may also have a couple of dark corners in the house no matter how we play around with the layout :bangwall:

  8. Hi BEAN

If I am not wrong, stoves cannot under the beam.

Maybe can cover it up with false celiing??

    Happy

i see. thank you for your reply :)

my place has too many beams around, restricting the designer's layout ideas :( the affected areas are mainly the proposed kitchen, entrance walkway and dining area. beams will be hanging above the stove, dining table and a beam hanging horizontally across the walkway...

do you have any suggestions over beams problems? thanks again

  9. Hi GPP,

Probably wealth and family and general guidelines on new home layout.

    HAPPY

    Just a survey.

If I organise a feng shui talk for my FSM, what will be the topic you would most like to hear about.

  10. I also heard that from my fsm.

That is why I never buy ceiling fan for my bedroom.

Initially I wanted all my bedroom got ceiling fan too.

I am still searching for the answer.

Is it no good to put ceiling fan in the bedroom?

  11. Agreed...that is why home clutter free is harmless to everybody.

    Hi

There are plenty of chinese and english books on feng shui in kinokuniya and popular. If chinese is too difficult for you, you can try starting with some simplified version from hong kong masters, english authors vincent koh, joey yap and eva wong are reasonable. Forums chat usually are mixed, confused and half truths. If I'm not a master, I dare not even advise you because if you interpret wrongly, may end up bad luck on you and house.

I just share my experience because I was a victim of learning from forums chatter and postings.

  12. Hi GPP,

    Thanks for your information.

Well, better dont hang any pic on the wall.

    Happy

actually, the color of the pic does matters, cos different color represent diff elements.

try not to put red or yellow at north sector this year, it is wu huang (5 yellow) will activate bad energies.

and if you want to hang picture, its better to use the stick on hook. try not to hammer into the wall.

some places like north you dont want to activate it, or u will suffer bad luck. hammering into wall affects energy and it is considered as a "small renovation"

need to calculate the right timing.

  13. Happened to find this in the web:

    Yes I believe CLUTTER FREE...

Lighting Design Tips You Can Use to Feng Shui Your Home

(ARA) - Traditional Feng Shui utilizes the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water as remedies to energetic issues in a house or building. The basic concepts are simple: use common sense in furniture placement, keep it free of clutter and make sure the room's flow or arrangement allows for conversation.

  14. I agreed.

That is why beware when fsm started to sell his items to you.....very expensive and can burn your 1 big hole in yoru pocket.

I think a truly fsm will not ask you to buy and buy and buy until your mouth and eye wide open!!!

IMHO, no need to buy a lot of fengshui items to enhance. Some are natural enhancers.

i.e. TV, Colours, Paintings, Ornaments (Some you already have it).

Those that asked you to buy a lot of things are just to UPSELL to PROFIT more. One master told me,

only certain things you really need, i.e. Water Features, Laughing Buddha, plants etc.

  15. Hi RIC

I dont think your english is limited.

As the majority of the renotalk forumers are using english to communicate.

They might or might not understand.

    Maybe you can summarised it?

I am poor in chinese, that is the stumbling block I am facing.

    Happy

    Hi h4happy,

It's quite difficult for me to translate into chinese, as my English is limited.

Pls seek for help from someone in this forum, thanks.

As this is Fengshui, to me it's better to be in chinese....

My friend also quite poor in chinese when first come across Fengshui, but now he is very

good in chinese and chinese Fengshui.
