I received more than 15 phone calls from various IDs after I posted my enquiry on Renotalk to get a quotation. I was shocked on the numerous unknown numbers from different IDs arranging for an appointment with me for a discussion on the renovation works. I only had a budget of 12k for a 4RM New BTO Flat. Alot of IDs said they will email me a rough quotation after hearing my low budget but after a week plus I don't hear from anyone. Out of all the calls I managed to meet up with 5 IDs and Melissa was one of them. Melissa was the only 1 who came over to our existing place which is located at Jurong whereas the rest of the IDs want us to meet them at their showroom even though we had mentioned that we are not driving and was having our new born baby with us.
As a young couple, we do not have a big budget especially we still have to prepare a fund for our new born baby. We have heard alot of horror stories and bad reviews of their IDs from our friends. We know is important to choose the right IDs to deal with our dream home therefore we are quite careful in choosing on who we are going to engage. Out of the 5 IDs, only 1 ID, Melissa Quah from 3D Innovations that gave us alot of ideas to beautify our house using different type of decorative items instead of doing all built in cabinet which the others IDs are proposing it. We were impressed by her proposal therefore we decided to engage her service.
She was very professional, honest and responsible and understand well on what we want. We went over to the showroom on our 3rd meet up to choose the materials. We spent 4 hrs plus to choose the color theme for our dream home. Melissa was being very patient with us and explained different theme concept to us clearly so as to let us have a better visualisation. Although we exceeded our budget of 12k, we spent a total of $13500 which includes additional add ons of a feature wall which block the entrance view to our living hall and a half height shoe cabinet. The 3D drawings was out after a week and we still need some amendments on the color, Melissa expedite on the amendments as she know that we were in a rush of moving in so we have to start the renovation works as soon as possible. Therefore once the amendments drawing was out we were very satisfied so we proceed with our renovation works.
As we need to move in within 3 weeks therefore Melissa make sure that the schedule was on track. Although there are some minor hiccup during the renovation process as we engage our own electrician and air con man but Melissa was there to help us resolve the issues and expedite on the process in order to let us move in within 3 weeks. We managed to move in on time just left with some minor defects on the carpentry but everything was rectify after 4 days. After 2 mths we realise that the spray gun was not installed tightly so we called her up and to our surprise that she managed to send her contractor up on that day itself. That's why we decided to spend a little of our time to write a good reviews on her service. Thumb up for her.
In short, I would say that she is a very sincere and professional ID who will cater what is need for you and does not recommend unneccesary items to you in order to help you spend wisely on the renovation. I would definitely recommend my friends and relatives should they required any renovation services.
