1 person = 2 legs 1 cat = 4 legs 1 adult cat + 9 kittens = 10 cats x 4 legs = 40 legs 40 legs x 9 bags = 360 legs for cats carried by 1 person 360 legs for cats + 2 legs per person = 362 362 x 9 persons = 3258 legs in total Calculation -> 9[9(10 x 4) + 2] = 3258 Correct?

er...Pooh_75, ur "Jumper" refers to...suicide ? Or adventure-seeking jumpers ? If u mean the former, it already happened....so no need for "first". it can just end where it is now... if u mean adventure-seekers, wow! that would bring us much unexpected surprise! both examples are so extreme...

by right hor...we're not supposed to worry abt this...cos we paid our due fees and town council should be more vigilant! anyway, my ID took care of this problem for us so we're having a "clear view" from our door again... er....jacky, your 'beri nice' makes us 'not beri nice' leh... the different colour and " " makes a very opposite effect... someone asked who engaged substance? we did... pregopia, hihi...i'm lazy to reply in PM. just came back from house cleaning and it's still dusty! ok, back to your question...set aside $5k max. for it...will definitely be lower (excluding additional accessories). it's a bit costly but we love it so it's worth it. let me know if u would like to drop by this sunday.

i dun have the strength to push all the rubbish to the lift lobby...it's a MOUNTAIN!!! pay conservancy fees and removal of debris fee to get a mountain... i must find bangladesh workers to throw for me liao... hahaha!! thanks thanks!! doing the toilet is my want...shay_d wasn't that keen. but tell her that she has a big and spacious room-cum-WIW liao...that's something that i also want but didn't get...so it's equal!! hee!!

jacky, i think u should say "a lot" instead of "minor" touch-up. "minor" is toooooooo forgiving. mine's considered completed but still got plenty of things to catch and rectify to MY satisfaction. but overall, i'm pretty happy with how my house has turned out to be. btw, anyone knows who i can approach to help me clear the pile of rubbish outside my house?? some kuku neighbour (s) has/have been throwing rubbish outside my house...adding on to my already there "personal rubbish"...treating it like a bin centre! **** pissed with these inconsiderate nuckleheads...

Need help...how much does a T5 light cost???

buy from ikea to save cost. i think what almonddust did is already pretty useful. =) will follow that method too.

meow_, glad that u read the thief posting. it was desperate times for desperate measures against desperate creeps. i'm not surprised on what they could take... i packed my reno rubbish and dump them into a carton box before pushing it outside my house. few days later, the carton box was ransacked! the rubbish was ard the box. how desperate.

aiyah..whatever TC it belongs, TPY is for residents!! if it's so difficult, i strongly encourage all industries in TPY, including HDB HUB, to get out & leave this neighbourhood. and if there're still too many cars, can we be blamed that there're a lot of residents from Lor 1 to Lor 8? Why get us penalised for staying in TPY? though i'm not a driver, taking cab is already a killer.. seriously can't imagine how long this "ERP will help ease traffic" nonsense ever going to end. i've not seen any improvement in CTE. perhaps they shld just deter Singaporeans from buying cars by increasing the COE again. and since there's no free lunch, pls think of a way to make the already miserable living lifestyle better. soon GST will increase to 10%, which is their goal.

is this the kind of "bargain" one gets for supporting P@P... wonder how's the corruption like... they get pay increase to tide the surge in living expenses... we get nothing in the pocket but bigger holes... *ptui*

wah lau..jaCKY777..of all ppl u're asking these questions! u're more experienced than many of all us leh! dun be lazy..go back to the previous pages to find the answers to ur questions. tsk tsk tsk *shake head* 1) u only need to bring the things stated in the HDB letter. and u only need to pay & sign & sign & sign & sign & sign & sign & sign & sign & sign...until they ask u to stop. then u'll collect 21 keys for the entire household. 2) u may go to page 72 to check out what i did (according to what strawberry_pear advised) or check out Geomancy/Fengshui forum for the numerous fengshui threads. many ppl do different things so it depends on how deep your beliefs are. 3) do ur defects list within 7 days of keys collection OR before ur renovation begins. check from windows, doors, locks, switch plate, leaking taps/mixers, toilet bowls, tiles...etc...many things can check but depends whether they see the importance to rectify your "defects". 4) sit back and relax while money flow out of your pocket! Congrats!!

M&M, thanks! i got ur email! u've got mail too! hehe! but it's not easy to find them...do u know where to get?

Point 1: won't suggest mirror since u mentioned u do heavy cooking so many times. though it's tempered, it is not as "durable" to long exposure of heat. stick with the tradition, stainless steel. it's easier for u to maintain as well. same goes for cooker hob. get stainless steel. Point 2: Corian is good and "branded". Like what jaCKY777 mentioned, it's costly too. might as well get india granite. solid surface can't come in direct contact with hot pots as it might burn/melt/leave a mark (solid surface is made of partial acrylic as well. different brands use different percentage of it.) Point 3: no comments. Point 4: u may get the chimney hood for stronger suction but do be prepared to spend a bit on your filters as it traps oil...difficult to wash off. most ppl will just throw & buy. dun understand why would u want to place the hood higher though..cos u'll just allow the smoke to escape and ur hood isn't really "working" for the $$ u spend on it. Point 5: brands like Rinnai (choose the one that's made in Japan...it's more costly due to quality & it's inner flame), Fujioh (also good), Electrolux, Techno, Teka. wouldn't rec Cuizino as we've heard some things abt it.

to add-on to what shay_d mentioned earlier, our cement screeding was done more than 1 mth ago and signs of the crack lines have recently surfaced. when we knocked the floor, it's hollow. reason given: 1) floor too dirty 2) not enough water HDB Branch Office is only a "messenger" between HDB engaged contractors & owners, therefore when such situations occur...they'll only put into record & inform the contractors to contact owners.

hi doremi, from ur ID's boss reply: 1. payment of haulage <$1100 (5rm) or $900 (4rm)> is to the term contractor engaged by HDB. what's stated in your quotation is payment to the contractor, your ID won't get a cent. if u're asked to pay for haulage but yet it's also calculated in your reno amount, ur ID will likely less off the amount from your reno (it applies to us). 2. removal of debris fee has nothing to do with your haulage fees as it's payment to TC. HDB brings in the contractor to provide us sand (haulage). TC provides the tank to clear the debris. yes, our ID has to clear the debris from our unit & corridors cos TC only provide the "collection & dumping equipment". the "manpower" to collect the debris is arranged by our ID, which is why they state they'll clear debris too. hope this clarifies ur doubts. my understanding of all these comes from TC, my ID & your ID's boss. Hereby also wishing all fellow neighbours a HAPPY NEW YEAR & GOOD HEALTH!

hi jensze, welcome to tpy forum too! i think this is a common "problem" cos we experienced the same thing. u may report as defects, but they might not rectify cos it can still be closed and locked. anyway, we probably won't use it cos if war really comes, we'll still die inside...locked or unlocked. so might as well die in "free style" (exploded) hahahahaha! oops! hi dino, nobody came today and got me mad and i went mad! scolded ppl today...
-
hi jaCKY777 & coco_mybibi, u're most welcomed! hope u've gathered some useful info for your upcoming reno. paiseh wasn't a very good host cos there're many things boggling my mind yesterday...stupid cement screeding...!@#$%^&*() hi meowie49, no problem! hope u didn't find it a problem walking ard yesterday. suddenly carpentry came. =p hi zanie79, are u referring to the one in ur hse? saw it while in ur car, it's like an inverted question mark is it? hi doremi, what we understand from town council's staff, it's only a 1-time charge. the invoice was sent to our ID for payment to our unit...so depends on ID. if they've chopped u more than u can breathe, pls negotiate with them to pay...but it's really case-by-case basis. hi meow_, welcome to tpy forum and thanks for ur info! suddenly so many "meow" ard, all have cats as pets??
-
hi doremi, we experienced this billing as well and we've already made the payment directly at town council. regardless of hacking or no hacking, it's payable cos every sand/cement/cardboard boxes/false ceiling...whatever that's thrown due to reno is under us. yes, i understand how u feel cos it sucks... spoken to town council and understood that some contractors pay for owners as they "pay out of good will" or "already factored the amount into the quotation". whereas those who did not, owners will have to self-pay. haulage fee is only for sand/cement/hardship of the uploading workers...totally different from removal of debris. but seriously, this amt is for the container town council provide and the refuse collection and disposal only..which i also feel it's kinda high..but calculating the number of mths my reno has taken..and dividing the amt by the number of days of reno..it's not a big sum lah.

hehe! thank u chrispy & M&M!! yes, i would be keen to view ur pic! is it expensive? wonder how much the thief sold my stainless steel hanger...****
-
hey M&M...remembered u guys saying u'll be getting the traditional bamboo clothes hanger...may i know where can i get it? ironically, if it wasn't for xinni, we probably won't even notice that our internal clothes rack provided by hdb is missing! we guess it's probably stolen together with our torchlight as we dismantled for reno works...those !@#$%^&*()... if anyone knows too, kindly share the location/shop to get it...thank u very very much!
-
thanks thanks *blush* LOL! oh..wahahaha! 9am cos another forummer from tanglin halt will be sending his white toilet basin (hdb's new fixture) to us..@ a super duper deal cos he doesn't want the basin. there goes my orh orh... in long run, whereby u dun wish to see how ur hubby looks when he does anything in the toilet and vice versa, frost it. i think if u put curtain, next time if u've kids and they come into ur room while u're bathing, once they draw the curtain..it's show time! clear is daring and cool now...aiyah..everything has a "life span".. shay_d confirms go for the "long-term planning"...

whereas i'm one of the lowest...sob sobz...
